  1. There is a side angle to the called third strike, and it is clearly above the letters. Not only that, it was outside. It wasn't close to a strike. View this video at about the 1 minute mark. http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_id=21468797&topic_id=8878984&c_id=tor&tcid=vpp_copy_21468797&v=3
  2. Also, often times cars that are listed on cars.com or autotrader.com will have free carfax reports included.
  3. If you think Basketball is easier than baseball, I suggest you officiate a high level varsity boys game or a men's college game. Then tell me how easy you think it is. I've been doing it for years and there's nothing easy about it.
  4. It's probably not what you think http://articles.baltimoresun.com/2012-05-05/sports/bal-explaining-mark-reynolds-spurning-of-buck-showalter-20120504_1_buck-showalter-bat-dugout
  5. I guess if I were you, and a Giant fan were heckling me or I heard them heckling Braun, I'd politely ask "Did you cheer for Barry Bonds?" Assuming the answer is going to be "Yes" my response back would be "Then you have no business heckling me/Braun." And I'd leave it at that.
  6. Melvin confirms Gamel tore his ACL. https://twitter.com/#!/Haudricourt/status/197796548862689280
  7. Word is Gamel needs surgery. https://twitter.com/#!/AdamMcCalvy/status/197774566779658241
  8. Got tix for section 228 row 12. Thanks for this awesome deal!
  9. I thought the crowd last night was absolutely awesome. They made Raw so much better, and I already thought it was pretty good anyways. It will be interesting to see if the "YES!" chants will catch on or not. The who show was one of the most entertaining I've seen in a long time.
  10. This really makes you wonder if an extension is close. I certainly don't want to get my hopes up, but I'm pretty sure Greinke said that he'd sign an agent when/if a deal was close. Perhaps someone can help me on that. I'm on the side that this is a positive development for the Brewers.
  11. I've always been partial to "Hung Like McClung."
  12. David Cornwell issued a statement reguarding the Collector's statement: I find it interesting that Cornwell says "his efforts will only be persuasive to those who do not understand the evidence or the rules." There is definitely more to this whole thing that we don't know.
  13. That prank was hilarious. I don't know how anyone involved could keep a straight face through that, especially when it was announced he was traded for Kobayashi.
  14. Yes! That is classic. J.R. and King are great. I so wish they would be back together again. Cole is such a joke. But this clip is awesome.."Mother Canucker." Hilarious!
  15. I'm the biggest fan of the Rock you'll find. His return to WWE is what got me watching again. With that said, his promo's leave a lot to be desired. He seems quite nostalgic, soaking in the crowd reaction, but it leads to a lot of dead time. On a side note, It'd be interesting to see how much dead time there was compared to talk time last night. I'd much rather see him do his thing rather than pause for the crowd and their chants. Be the entertainer that got you to where you are. Use all your famed lines. I don't care about your goosebumps. I want to see the Rock that I came to love.
  16. Would FS-WI move the Bucks to an alternate channel? Or could the Bucks games go to WMLW? I think FS-WI has to understand that more people are interested in watching the Brewers than the Bucks.
  17. What does this mean for Directv subscribers? Is this just for Time Warner, or is WMLW going to be HD across the board but remain on channel 41 for other providers?
  18. Aside from wearing a flat brim hat like Prince, I don't think that guy looks like him. An internet search comes up with nothing as well.
  19. The Brewers get Detroit's pick, number 27, along with their own pick, number 28. I thought that the compensation rules changed for this year, but apparently not. I'm not sure if the Brewers will also get a supplemental pick. I guess I'm not sure how the rules have changed for this year, if they have at all.
  20. It's being reported that he signed for 9 yr./$214M. At least he's in the AL, and he'll be able to move to DH pretty easily.
  21. Absolutely didn't see this coming, if true. Either this is Prince's way of sticking it to his Dad, or he just really didn't want to play for the Nats. Does this mean that Miguel Cabrera would move to 3rd, or does Prince become the DH?
  22. What if it were Fielder, and that's why he hasn't signed yet?
  23. I guess I can see why you'd use "not guilty" over "innocent." I suppose "innocent" would imply that he never tested positive in the first place, which isn't true. I suppose "not guilty" implies that he tested positive but wasn't found to have done it intentionally or for a competitive advantage. In the end it seems like splitting hairs, or a distinction without a difference.
  24. [quote author=crewcrazy wrote: [/b]I have a really, really hard time blaming ESPN for breaking the original story. They had sources that gave them information (Braun failed a test), they reported that information, and it was true. Brewers fans have every right to be upset at MLB for leaking the info, and probably with the way ESPN handled follow-up stories, too (anchors saying he tested positive for steroids, saying he's already been suspended, etc.). But you can't fault ESPN for breaking the news. There isn't a news source in the country that would have sat on that information and done nothing with it. Except ESPN is the news source that sat on the Bernie Fine story for 8 years because they couldn't "confirm" whether the woman on the recording was Laurie Fine. Sure, they got news that Braun failed a test. But they immediately began reporting it as fact that he tested positive for steroids. But in the following days it went from Braun testing positive for steroids, to him testing positive for a performance enhancing drug, to him testing positive for a banned substance. And no one still knows exactly what he tested positive for. So my question is this: why did ESPN refuse to report on one story because they couldn't confirm something, but they chose to report the Braun story even though they didn't have confirmation on why he failed his test?
