  1. This isn't the first time the Cubs have done it. They went and hired Joe Maddon while having Rick Renteria under contract as manager and had promised him that he'd be back as manager the next season. Scummy organization.
  2. Maybe he can be DH/PH in '24, he's got that power stroke against lefties.
  3. Interesting to note, Sanchez was Snell's personal catcher. Guessing he'll serve as backup C and DH?
  4. Can we please stop feeding the troll? It's a shtick, he's never going to post anything positive. Every thread gets derailed and the ignore button is useless when the garbage that's being spewed is constantly quoted.
  5. Those aren't hassles for someone who streams all of their content, it's just another app on their TV, no different than choosing a channel to watch on cable. As of 2021 less than half of people under 50 have cable or satellite. That's only going to increase, most younger kids have never used linear TV, everything has always been on demand for them. Making the games easier to stream makes them more accessible to the younger demographic that MLB needs to grow.
  6. So you'd rather pay $100/month to watch the Brewers on cable instead of $15-20/month on streaming?
  7. Depends on who wins tomorrow. If Buffalo wins, it's HOU/BAL on Saturday and KC/BUF on Sunday. If Pittsburgh pulls off the upset it's HOU/KC on Saturday and PIT/BAL on Sunday.
  8. I'm guessing the Packers/Niners are the Saturday night game. The other guarantee is Houston also has to play Saturday and I don't see them putting Houston in primetime over GB/SF, though I suppose it's possible as Stroud vs Lamar or Stroud vs Mahomes are both intriguing matchups.
  9. The first replay it looked like the ball hit the ground, but the second angle it didn't. Bad job by CBS to not show another replay after those two quick ones.
  10. Next time just say "I have no earthly idea how baseball economics works." It'll save you time.
  11. The offense has a chance here to pull away. Eat up enough clock and score at the end of this drive then get the ball to start the second half. They could make it a three score game without giving the defense a chance to screw it up.
  12. I have no idea if Weeks would be any good, but as one of my favorite Brewers ever I'd love the hire.
  13. I don't believe that for a second. Brewers were 29-18 in one run games and the Cubs were 21-24. That's the difference between an elite bullpen and an average one. We'll see if Counsell is still as good when he doesn't have that bullpen to rely on.
  14. The small market Brewers offered Counsell more in one season than what the big money Mets will be paying their manager over three seasons.
  15. The Cubs are crazy if they actually pitch Steele in this game. He's already 54 innings over his previous high, to put him out there in a meaningless game is just asking for arm troubles.
  16. Marlins scored five runs in four games against the Brewers. Marlins have scored 36 runs in three games against the Braves.
  17. Not sure this is true, the Packers scored 10 points on the ensuing drives after each of those plays. You could say they'd have 28 instead of 24 points.
  18. I think so, guessing he'll be the designated pinch runner. He's sneaky fast, Baseball Savant has him as the 8th fastest player in MLB. https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/leaderboard/sprint_speed
  19. Belliard and Sexson, two of my favorite Brewers on some really bad Brewers teams.
