  1. Did the others get them all swinging? All 10 for Burnes were swinging. He may have the record for most consecutive swinging.
  2. I think the oncoming storm will have an influence on that. Approaching far western suburbs, about an hour out.
  3. The guys on MLB network nailed it - they said the Cubs would come up swinging trying to ambush the first pitch strike. That's what Duffy did. They said he should have stuck to the slider off the plate.
  4. 2013 1 paid Aaron Judge for Yankees. 2014. Cardinals Jack Flaherty. Red Sox And the uber frustrating Michael Kopech 2015. Braves Mike Sorotka Pirates KeBrayan Hayes Orioles Ryan Mountcastle 2016. Padres Eric Lauer Nationals Dane Dunning Dodgers Will Smith Cardinals Dylan Carlson and Dakota Hudson Nationals former top prospect Rookie Carter Kieboom 2017 Toronto Nate Pearson(#1 team prospect) 2018. Rays Shane Mclanahan Are Comp picks of note/positivity. Certainly potential to find a gem or at minimum use the draft slot to pay one. Trevor Story himself was the 45th overall pick in 2011. And he wasn't a gross over-slot signing, signing for only $915K. In theory, the Rockies could draft the next Trevor Story with the comp pick.
  5. I thought that Payton Henry for Curtiss was cheap, and Reese Olson for Daniel Norris was expensive.
  6. How exactly are physicals done with trade deadline deals? Did the Brewers do a physical on Curtiss, or did the Marlins just send medical records?
  7. He's off the 40, so who cares? Send him out for 50-60 pitches or until the rainstorm hits. It's looking like an 8pm ETA for the rain, so that's likely 3 innings which is all they need out of him.
  8. He's on rehab assignment and wasn't expected back until mid-August.
  9. More storms expected to come through tonight. Looks like first wave around 8pm, then a second wave around 10pm. I had hoped to go to one or two of these, but don't feel like sitting through the sweltering heat and multi-hour rain delays.
  10. Not a ****** but it might do the job. [sarcasm]You can't say that word!!![/sarcasm]
