  1. Of course they do, projections are based on historical data and Mancini had the more recent outlier. More recent data is weighted heavier in projections. Mancini's bout with colon cancer last year concerns me that he will be able to achieve his 2019 production again and that 2021 is more of the expected than the outlier. Given those health concerns and that they have the same OPS in 2021, I don't expect Mancini's production to be much greater than Aguilar's the rest of the year. FWIW, I wouldn't give up a lot for either.
  2. I thought we traditionally waited until after the trade deadline?
  3. I think it would take more than Small and Ray. I don’t think Ray has much remaining trade appeal at this point. Assuming the Brewers wouldn’t be open to moving Mitchell or Turang, I think it would take a couple of their other top 8-10 prospects. Maybe ONE of the following headline pieces: Mario Feliciano Aaron Ashby Hedbert Perez Ethan Small Along with ONE of these prospects: Antoine Kelly Eduardo Garcia Tristen Lutz Freddy Zamora And probably a THIRD prospect not mentioned above. For example, maybe something like Mario Feliciano, Tristen Lutz, and Reese Olson. If this is what it costs for Mancini, then I'll pass and look at a similar option.
  4. Mancini career OPS: .815 Aguilar career OPS: .803 Both have a career OBP of .334. Both have an OPS of .793 this season. Mancini's career K rate is 23%, Aguilar 23.7%. Both so far appear to have had one year outliers - Aguilar in 2018, Mancini in 2019. Both are under control for one more year. Mancini is making $4.75M this year, Aguilar $4.3M. Mancini better not cost a lot more in prospects than Aguilar.
  5. I'd rather move Zamora while he still has value. Wasn't a fan of that pick. But not at all opposed to moving Turang. Hell, they could move both Turang and Zamora. Still will have Hamilton, Cantrelle, and Garcia.
  6. No way do I give up Small straight up for 1.3 years of Gallo, much less the other three. Take Small out and I'd give up the other three for 1.3 years of Gallo.
  7. Strasburg, Ross, Schwarber (and Gomes and Avila) are on the DL too, and they have to leapfrog three teams. It's not their MO to sell, but if those three aren't anticipated back soon they aren't going to get there riding Scherzer and a bunch of 5-ERA starters.
  8. He was depressed after making $14M from the Knicks in one season. Hopefully he can look back and say that money didn't buy him happiness.
  9. It takes 21 days to form a habit. Go hardline for 21 days to establish habits, then put a little reward into your diet. If you're good all week, treat yourself a little on Saturday night. If you're good all month, last Saturday of the month you can eat whatever you want.
  10. Lotta people calling in sick in a few days
  11. What an epic, legendary performance by Giannis. Legendary.
  12. Tri-fecta. Tell Rodgers to pull his head out of his ass and get his ass in camp.
  13. And the best part is, now that they have the ring the free agents will take discounts to come HERE. DYNASTY.
  14. Cheers, boys! Tip back a High Life and celebrate this!!
  15. Alright Pat, you've played like crap all game, just make two FTs...
  16. Bucks could easily be down 10 right now. Fortunate that the Suns are playing beyond terrible.
  17. Rarely, unless it's a player who needs to waive a no-trade clause. Wouldn't a no trade clause discussion not happen until after a trade is completed? It would seem weird to tell a player "we might trade you to X team, would you approve a trade" before a deal is struck. In general I think it's not wise to put the trade thoughts in a players head until it happens, except in 1 year deal situations where it's just obvious a guy is going to be traded...but those never come with no trade clauses. No, because there would be no point in the exercise of exchanging names and settling on a return if the player isn't willing to go to that team in the first place. Player has to waive the no-trade to a team first, then the negotiations take place. Sometimes a player asks for extras (guaranteeing option years, etc.) in order to waive a no-trade, which affects what, if anything, the receiving team is willing to give up.
  18. Micah Bello, 0-6 with 6 K's. Ouch.
