  1. Moderna now approved. Hopefully there is a plan for the next few months to coordinate delivery of the Moderna vaccine to more rural areas and the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine to bigger cities/academic hospitals that have the ultra-freezing capabilities for the storage required in order to help balance supply and demand. Amazing that the first volunteer to get the Moderna vaccine in early trials was on Monday, March 16th - the last day that I physically went into work and the day that Chicago first shut down bars and restaurants.
  2. The basis for my opinion was the context of those A-ball and AA numbers being put up in very hitter-friendly leagues and stadiums. If you didn't catch that context, or know which minor leagues and stadiums are hitter-friendly vs. neutral vs. pitcher-friendly to add context to stats, then perhaps you should shouldn't comment on those opinions.
  3. Seemed like Mertz was making up his mind before the snap and telegraphing his throws all game. Not looking anyone off, not confident in the longer routes.
  4. Promising numbers for pitching in the hitter-friendly CAL and Texas leagues in 2019.
  5. For as much as we complain about the Corey Ray pick, the guy picked right before him (who a number of folks around here wanted) has fared much worse and despite being available today is highly unlikely to be picked.
  6. Also looks like he's adopted the Bartolo Colon diet.
  7. As a healthy, Caucasian male under the age of 50 who does not work in patient care or is a first responder, I'm pretty sure I'm going to be last on the list of those eligible for a vaccination and doubt I will have one by then.
  8. Adams should have been called for a facemask. Got lucky on that one.
  9. UW coaches/Chryst rarely talk about injuries, but I think between injuries and COVID there have been a lot of guys unavailable or banged up. At WR, Davis has missed the last two games, Prior missed one of the two and got knocked out of the other, Abbott has been hurt up until this week and Mustapha has missed time with injuries as well. At RB, Guerendo hasn't played since Illinois and Julius Davis hasn't played all year. Ferguson got injured during the NW game and hasn't been 100%, and despite moving Jaylan Franklin to TE he hasn't played all year. Not sure why they have so many injuries at WR; over the last couple of years they sure have had a lot of injuries to backups during practice/training.
  10. Looking back, it could be argued that Joey deserved to get punched in the nuts.
  11. Wisconsin outgained them 342 - 220. Second game in a row. Field position matters.
  12. Dunn's knee and elbow were down when he had possession.
  13. Is Ferguson out?
  14. I can't believe that the Badgers have more passing yards than Indiana.
  15. Why do they only have two DL in the game? Indiana is going to run the ball.
  16. How the hell is that a penalty? He didn't slide.
  17. Well, I guess that makes up for the questionable pass interference call.
  18. Receiver was open, not sure if he wasn't looking or if Mertz was late but the receiver was open.
  19. Perfectly placed pass. Meanwhile, Mertz has been off all game.
  20. 10 points in the last six quarters. Offense needs to start figuring things out.
  21. It's because he's 6'8", 362. #77, Caleb Jones.
  22. I think that’s a possibility as well. If it is the case then it’s likely someone on the list below. Dodgers minor leaguers that are Rule 5 eligible: Donovan Casey OF/RHP Brett de Geus RHP Omar Estevez SS/2B Marshall Kasowski RHP Jeren Kendall OF Logan Salow LHP Justin Yurchak 1B/3B Guillermo Zuniga RHP Cody Thomas OF Parker Curry RHP Nolan Long RHP Brayan Morales OF Carlos Rincon OF/DH Errol Robinson SS/2B/3B Cristian Santana 3B/1B/SS Jordan Sheffield RHP Shea Spitzbarth RHP Leonel Valera SS/3B/2B Nick Yarnall 1B/OF Kasowski, Salow, and Long have the type of strikeout numbers the Brewers often take a flyer on.
  23. Needed Markus Howard tonight to shoot over their zone defense. That being said, Oklahoma State plays really good defense.
  24. https://coronavirus.uwhealth.org/an-open-letter-to-the-people-of-wisconsin/ "But the virus is here now and the vaccines are not."
  25. I think a private business could require it and have the law on their side. Qantas has already said they will require it for international flights: https://www.cnn.com/travel/article/qantas-coronavirus-vaccination-intl-hnk-scli/index.html
