  1. 2nd - Jordan Burch, DE, Oregon - can play all across the line, ability to move inside on passing downs reduces the need to draft a DT. 3rd - Nohl Willliams, CB, Cal - CB depth, special teams play, ability to be a KR/PR
  2. Simmons still out there as well as the injured CBs. Character whispers (Green, Hairston) still out there as well. Looks like everybody is passing on injured players, and risks in general.
  3. I'm feeling Jordan Burch for the 2nd round. Someone who can play all along the line and play outside on run downs and inside on pass downs. Kind of fills two holes - don't really need a DT if they can draft a bigger end like Burch or Elijah Roberts who can flex inside on passing downs.
  4. Yeah, they'll play enough 1-2 personnel that they can easily keep two TEs on the LOS and have two WRs off the LOS if they need to create separation for both Reed and Golden.
  5. Yeah, but they would have to pay the 5th year option price guaranteed which is 8-figures. Hard to pay Watson 8-figures with his injury history. I think it's better they don't have a 5th year option on him.
  6. No, never take a guy in the 1st round at a speed position who hasn't done any athletic testing because of injuries to their legs/lower body. There have been rumors that his injury could be long(er)-term, and the thought pre-injury was that he had limited long speed to begin with. Second round, worth the chance, but not first round.
  7. That being said, I would not have objected to Trey Amos at all.
  8. I think that he's the best player available at a position of need. Would have preferred to trade back, but for who is available I don't hate it.
  9. This long, they have to be shopping the pick
  10. Trade back out of the 1st to hear the boos from the fans, then trade back in at #31 or #32 for Jayden Higgins.
  11. The Steelers were the one team who I was afraid would take him. I thought it was 50/50 that the Steelers went him or Sanders.
  12. NFL.com had Nolen in their top 5. I didn't think he would make it anywhere near the Packers pick.
  13. And there was much rejoicing among Packers fans
  14. Roseanne Barr... ... but yeah, bottom 3 for sure.
  15. I just want to see an oompah band up on stage during a break playing "Da Bears Still Suck"
  16. Sent down on 4/11, not eligible to be called back up until 4/26 except for injury. When you have a lot of pitchers on the IL, you have to do some juggling with whoever still has options.
  17. You can't burn your bullpen out in April. Have to take chances with the bottom of the other team's lineup.
  18. FWIW, Packers Wire does their annual 100 "Unpacking Future Packers" series of potential draft picks. They save #1 for who they think their 1st round pick is going to be and don't publish it until the day of the draft. This year it's Derrick Harmon: https://packerswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/packers/2025/04/24/unpacking-future-packers-no-1-oregon-dl-derrick-harmon/83243684007/ Last year Cooper DeJean was #1, but Edgerrin Cooper was #3 and Jordan Morgan was #7. This year Jayden Higgins is #2.
  19. In no way am I saying that Doc is a good coach, but I don't think that he is coaching them to travel, double dribble, take wild shots, miss shots at the rim, grab opponents' feet, and not work to box out.
  20. TikTok That, and despite growing up attached to cell phones and tablets, they can't figure out how to use the Calendar app on their phone to set reminders.
  21. The problem with high-dividend ETFs, as I have learned the hard way, is that the higher the dividend the more sensitive it is to interest rates. What I am in - and down quite a bit now vs 6 months ago - is PFF. What I like about it is that they invest in preferred stock of solid, big-name companies (Boeing, Wells Fargo, Citi, KKR, Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase, AT&T, energy companies, etc.). But that it's down now also the good thing - it is as low as it has been since the bottom of the COVID plunge in 2020. Right now the 30-day SEC yield is 6.44% with a 0.46% expense ratio, so a net of about 6%. If/when interest rates come down, the stock price will rise, adding onto that 6% return. I've been keeping half of my emergency cash fund in that ETF for a long time, so I hopefully won't need to sell it at a loss anytime soon. But it hasn't been lower than it is right now since the great recession of 2008 and has topped out around $37, so the historical non-crisis range has been a solid $29-$37 with about a 6% yield.
  22. I still think that he's on the roster as a backup plan in case they get skunked out of the CBs they are targeting in the draft. If they double-dip and get the guys they want, he's gone. If their guys get poached or end up with just a 7th rounder, Jaire stays.
  23. I paid $0 for my ticket at Radio City Music Hall in 2011.
  24. Triston McKenzie DFA'd by the Guardians. Not long ago he was one of the top prospects and young pitchers in the game, 4 bWAR pitcher in 2022. Seems like he couldn't get over an elbow sprain from 2023.
  25. Revel is 24, coming off of a serious injury that he hasn't done any athletic testing for, and didn't play in a Power 5 conference. I would be extremely surprised if he goes in the first round. I'll be surprised if he even goes in the 2nd.
