  1. 1) Do you have the lottery numbers for this fall as well? I'll split the jackpot 50/50, maybe even going 40% me 60% you. 😜 B) According to Pro-Football-Reference, his offensive snap counts the last three years have been: 2022: 94% 2023: 89% 2024: 93%
  2. https://www.nfl.com/news/dayo-odeyingbo-and-aaron-banks-headline-nfl-free-agents-who-could-make-more-money-than-you-think Tom Pelissero nailed it: After the Chiefs placed the franchise tag on Trey Smith, Banks became one of the top guards -- if not the position's headliner -- on the free-agent market. A second-round pick (No. 48 overall) out of Notre Dame in 2021, Banks allowed just one sack on 471 pass-blocking snaps last season, according to Pro Football Focus' charting, while posting a career-high 67.2 PFF grade in 13 starts for the 49ers. Last March, the Panthers signed free-agent guard Robert Hunt to a whopping five-year, $100 million deal. If the market is right, Banks could land a contract in a similar range of $18 million to $20 million per season.
  3. According to Pro Football Focus, Banks has allowed only two career sacks while playing almost 1,500 pass-blocking snaps over the last three seasons. Last season, Banks gave up one sack, four quarterback hits and 20 hurries. https://packerswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/packers/2025/03/10/packers-expected-to-sign-former-49ers-guard-aaron-banks-in-free-agency/82236839007/
  4. Packers reportedly signing Raiders' CB Nate Hobbs: https://www.acmepackingcompany.com/2025/3/10/24382604/green-bay-packers-news-free-agency-update-nate-hobbs-cornerback-las-vegas-raiders-contract-details 😜 https://brewerfanatic.com/forums/topic/36633-packer-2021-draft-discussion-eric-stokes-cb-georgia-round-2-josh-myers-c-ohio-state-3-amari-rodgers-wr-clemson/page/5/#comment-1342717
  5. And with the Seahags releasing Tyler Lockett, I wonder if GB would have to leapfrog them in order to get one of the top WRs, or if with JS-N the Seahags will wait and address WR later. Regardless, SEA is a threat to pick WR in rounds 1-3 and GB may have to move ahead of them if there's a WR falling to them who they really like.
  6. Davante Adams to the Rams apparently, 2/$46M with $26M guaranteed. A little more than I would have thought, but that seems to be the case with just about every WR in free agency.
  7. What I don't like about Harrison is that he is a liability when it comes to run support and tackling in general. Lean frame to begin with, poor tackling technique leading to missed tackles, and how physical is he going to be in run support (or anytime) with that shoulder injury? 2nd round, yes, but not #23. Not with that shoulder injury.
  8. And a really deep edge rusher class.
  9. You're missing the obvious. Gorman Thomas. And the Brewers haven't been to the World Series since. "The Curse of Gorman Thomas" as I have been referring to for decades.
  10. The first thing that AI needs to replace is customer support from Malaysia. AI is first level support, second level is managers in the US. Should keep you from having to explain things four times.
  11. They didn't have two 2nds in 2009. The had one 2nd and two 3rds, which they packaged together to move up to draft Matthews. If they don't take back the 5th and trade a 2010 3rd instead of the 2009 3rd, they lose eight years of Morgan Burnett. The 2009 3rd is a moot point anyway because the Chiefs backed out and demanded a 2nd. That's not on the Packers. And they won the Super Bowl after the 2010 season anyway without Gonzalez.
  12. Eagles are supposedly going to release Darius Slay. Will be 35 next year, but graded out by PFF as the 52nd best CB out of 223 in pass coverage, so he may have some gas left in the tank. Would not at all mind a 1-year deal.
  13. Texas A&M's scheme was focused on run-stopping. That's the biggest reason why he and the other two A&M DL (Scourton, Turner) all didn't have any eye-popping pass rush stats. Scourton had a noticeable dip in pass rush stats from his prior year at Purdue.
  14. Walker isn't a FA - he was a 1st round pick so they have the 5th year option. It's at $14.6M. He played a lot better the second half of the season, and really the whole year better than last year. His strengths are sideline-to-sideline and pass coverage where he can use his athleticism; the games where he graded out well were games where he had to make plays outside the tackles, which he does really well. Being a gap-reading/plugging ILB in a 3-4 did not play to his strengths. He's a much, much better fit for Hafley's 4-3 than the prior scheme and I think - if healthy - he will show that this year with a full season under his belt and play like he did the second half.
  15. But instead of Gonzalez for either that 2009 3rd or 2nd, they got ten years of William Clay Matthews III.
  16. They don't really need one, as they have four guys on the roster who can play center - Jenkins, Tom, Rhyan, and Monk. They have the luxury of drafting a developmental/injury rehab guy who they can wait a year on.
  17. As am I. He started for two years at Alabama before transferring to OSU. Got hurt late in the season so he kind of fell off of radars, but he was a consensus first team All-American. 35 games, over 1000 pass block snaps and was credited with only one sack given up, five knockdowns, and 24 pressures. Graduated in 2.5 years from Alabama with a 4.00 GPA, and between Alabama and OSU he went up against future NFL DL in practice every day.
  18. It's also the middle of February. What % of pitchers at this point are hitting 100% of their normal velocity?
  19. Oh no, I could definitely tell that Turang put on some weight. Most of it was in his lower half. His legs were definitely thicker than the prior year.
  20. The first semester of my sophomore year of undergrad I went from 175 in August to 200 by Christmas. Was the first time I really weight trained. I'm sure it wasn't all muscle, but it was a pretty lean, ripped 200 and I didn't need to get bigger pants. I remember looking in the mirror at a Christmas or New Years party I went to and said, "holy crap". Let's not get caught up in the 25 lbs of muscle thing. I'm sure he didn't have it measured.
  21. It's funny, the people who say that a certain announcer is bad rarely ever say who is good.
  22. Check with Montana. When I was laid off from Anheuser-Busch after 8 months I seem to recall having the option of filing in either Missouri or Wisconsin; can't remember if it was because WI was where I moved there from or where I moved to after being laid off, but I seem to remember that I could choose either. Quick internet search says Montana eligibility is the first four of the last five quarters. This quarter isn't finished yet, so I believe the period would be Oct 1st 2023 to Sept 30th, 2024 as having wages.
  23. It was actually to play with Klesmit. A few years ago Tonje hosted Klesmit at Colorado State when Klesmit was considering playing there. They stayed in touch and Klesmit reached out to him and said, "Bro, you gotta come play here."
  24. Morrison - very wary of him. Hip surgery for a CB scares me - CBs need to have swivel hips, and I'm not sure if he'll have that coming off of hip surgery. Deone Walker - concerns about him being too tall for an interior defender, not being able to get or sustain a low enough pad level, some concerns about conditioning correlating with a high pad level. Ideal 5-tech for a 3-4 team, but that's not GB's defense anymore. Zy Alexander - would not mind at all if they grabbed him in the 3rd, maybe even 2nd. Lots of experience going against SEC offenses as well as Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas in practice. Amos - safest bet at CB, good length. Not sure about #23, but would love to slide down 8-10 spots and grab him and an extra pick in the process. Hairston - warming on me, shoulder surgery concerns me a bit after dealing with that with Jaire, but that may be more on Jaire. Looked good at the Senior Bowl, if the medicals and toughness checks out would be good with him in the 2nd. Porter - was a WR until 2022. Great length and athleticism for a CB, clocked at almost 22mph at the Senior Bowl. Still a bit raw, but understands the game from the receiver's lens and is nowhere near his ceiling. Revel - need to see how he runs. Can't have a CB lose any speed after ACL surgery. Quincy Riley and O'Donnell Fourtune I think are underrated and would be great picks on Day 3 if still there.
  25. According to sources, Gard has already been getting calls from agents for kids who plan on entering the portal or who would enter the portal if UW was interested.
