  1. Please, please, please don't leak the Brewers pick if you see it on social media
  2. Is the audio of MLB network a little choppy, or is it just my connection?
  3. Save that for whomever is still there at #14 and buy him down from the Cubs
  4. If I hear the words "aircraft carrier" one more GD time...
  5. Always a chance of an underslot deal with a slot value of $9.785M if there's no clear-cut #2.
  6. Can you rephrase this without using the words "not" and "don't". 🙂
  7. Ten days would put him at 7/19. The Brewers don't need a 5th starter until 7/24, so they could see how long Hall can go on 7/19 or 7/20 and then have him piggy-back with Wilson or Junis on 7/24 if Ross isn't ready by 7/24. Next time they will need a 5th starter isn't until 7/30.
  8. They got something for Vieira, and Payamps has more value than Vieira, so I think they can get something for Payamps.
  9. Put this in the IGT, but it's a legitimate question for discussion. With Williams, Koenig, Ross, and Hall due back soon, who do you remove from the roster? Starters: Peralta, Rea, Civale, Myers Relievers: Megill, Hudson, Payamps, Peguero, Milner, Junis, Wilson, Zastryzny Assuming Kuhnel is the first to go, then who? Is Zastryzny a better option than Milner? Does Milner have enough recent success to have trade value, even for a low-level lotto ticket or PTBNL? Same w/Payamps, does he have enough recent success over the last 3 years to fetch a prospect/PTBNL? That's only three... who's the fourth? Option Hall until 9/1? With not starting until the Saturday after the All-Star break they won't need a 5th starter until Wed 7/24, and could bullpen/piggy-back that game (Hall/Wilson + Junis?) as they have an off-day on Thurs 7/25, thus not needing a 5th starter until Wed 7/30... right before the trade deadline. My guess is that at least one of Milner or Payamps gets traded.
  10. I think there will almost have to be a trade of Milner or Payamps or both. While not having great seasons, they've both had enough recent success and there's enough demand for bullpen help that they should be able to get at least a lower-level prospect or PTBNL for each.
  11. This is a legitimate question. Who else do you remove? Starters: Peralta, Rea, Civale, Myers Relievers: Megill, Hudson, Payamps, Peguero, Milner, Junis, Wilson Assuming Kuhnel and Zastryzny are the first to go when Devin Williams and one of Hall/Ross comes back, who is the third to go when the other of Hall/Ross comes back?
  12. Does it really make a difference whether it happens the next half inning or 3 innings later?
  13. Yeah, my guess is that by the time they will need his spot after the All-Star break at least one of Ross or Hall will be ready to rejoin the team. That, or they expect to commence a trade during the All-Star break.
  14. I can't believe he's only 28 years old. I would have put the over/under at 33.
  15. Who I'm really curious about is the trade likelihood and value of the next five, specifically Carlos Rodriguez (P), Lara, EBJ, Boeve, even going down to Blalock. Those are the guys who likely have the highest range of value depending on what teams value. Does the clock starting on Blalock hurt his value? Did C-Rod's ML stint hurt his value? What do teams think about EBJ offensively and Boeve defensively? Yes, Lara is young for his league, but he's really struggling in high-A - is the prospect shine coming off?
  16. Last night I caught a bit of the Cubs-Cardinals game. Hendricks floated a 2-seamer middle-middle to Goldschmidt. It didn't even make the warning track.
  17. He was drafted, by Pittsburgh in the 12th round in 2022, but didn't sign. Looking at his line in 2023 at Mississippi State, I can see why he wasn't re-drafted.
  18. I'm still trying to figure out what happened with Pratt. How did so many other teams not know that he could be signed for under $1.4M? Did Pratt put up too big of a number pre-draft and then once they got past the 3rd round drop his number? If so, did no other teams have $1.4M remaining at that point? Whoever the Brewers scout is in Indiana deserves a big raise. Yoho, Letson, Adamczewski.
  19. He didn't exactly list three great reasons to do that (if even one).
  20. Over his last 28 days he's slashing .284/.372/.328; just needs the power and extra base hits to come around.
