  1. That was a pathetic at bat by Weeks. Molina set up way outside for every pitch and Weeks still tried to hit every one of them to left.
  2. Easy answer: can't steal first base.
  3. What's gonna be more annoying....the rousing ovation they give Garcia when he gets his perfect game broken up, or if he actually pitches a perfect game? I'd go with when it gets broken up. SO CLASSY.
  4. McClendon is a boss. I'm glad we had him stashed in AAA instead of Sean Green. It's not like we're a win now team or anything.
  5. Svuem should tell Weeks to get ready in the box faster. He's still off balance by the time the pitcher comes home.
  6. Because he's on his 3rd manager. This team is built to win now. Anything outside of winning 85+ is a major disappointment.
  7. Gahhh, I hate when the Cardinals' fans cheer for an opposing players' spectacular play. So smarmy.
  8. I'd love to get Wright....he's definitely one of my favorite non-Brewers. But the system is depleted after the Greinke and Marcum trades. This is our team. Maybe we see a few minor tweaks, but no way do we get a difference maker.
  9. I don't think so either. Wasn't he the one that hit the ball half way up that stupid hill in Houston too? His numbers would look quite a bit better with a homerun added in. With Morgan out, he's clearly the best option to hit in the 2 slot. I expect him to get it going soon.
  10. This season has been sooo consistent. I still hope we get one more Jean Ralphio appearance though. That fedora and saxophone joke definitely went over my head. I haven't seen all of season 2 (I think I started watching during the first Tammy episode). Luckily season 2 just came in the mail yesterday, so I'll be able to catch up on that. One thing that has been a consistent miss since I've been watching are the town hall meetings. The citizens of Pawnee are rarely funny.
  11. That reminds me, time to read Magary's weekly "drunken hookup failure" piece.
  12. There are plenty of things RR has done to piss me off already and I'm not really ever a fan of bunting..... but I was definitely fine with Morgan dropping one down there. Venters is a HORRIBLE match-up for him and Morgan is actually a good bunter unlike Gomez. Basically if he gets the ball down in fair play Weeks is making it to second because of his speed. I really don't blame anyone for the fluke injury. That pitch had a ton of movement on it.
  13. We better get some hits off his fastball because we're not touching that slider or curve. That 2-1 slider to Weeks was devastating.
  14. Casey could win a batting title if he wasn't Molina-slow. Jesus, I'd guess he costs himself 20 hits a season.
  15. It was so close I don't know how he could possibly tell in real time. My guess is before the game the ump probably just decided he wanted to make that call.
  16. Good for Greinke. Hopefully he passes the razor to Weeks so he can do the same.
  17. Wild pitch scores him howeverYes and a balk and a steal of home, infield single and a lot of other things that when added up, doesn't occur often enough to compensate for the chance of ending the inning.Or the ump missing the call. i hate it but when the ball beats the runner by that much it's basically an automatic out.
