  1. I bought a refurb TEAC nxt from Exclusive Company in Oshkosh, and the thing has been awesome for over a year now. I think it was $120.
  2. I'm just hoping that Redd gets healthy and the Bucks can somehow dump him on a team for an expiring this year.Yep. I do have a feeling that Redd is probably not gonna play again this year though. When the Bucks said at least 2 weeks, that was very telling. Teams will do that in fear of ticket sales/interest dropping. Now I personally don't think Redd is a ticket draw anyways, but the Bucks can't afford to scare anyone away from coming out to games.
  3. ...then that's what you do.Exactly. Melvin's really shown no ability to sell high in his tenure here. JJ Hardy is probably gonna rebound next year. If this was the return, I wish it was gonna be in a Brewer uniform.
  4. I think X has made it pretty apparent that he feels Gomez is huge downgrade from Cameron, and overpaying for SP in free agency hardly ever works. I have no idea why he's taking so much heat in this thread.
  5. Wow, this show is really good. I just got done watching last nights episode, and it was really funny. The diner scene was awesome. The fist thing Ron says to Tammy: "Wow, you've aged terribly." I'm gonna try to watch all the episodes I missed (which is most of them) before the next episode. NBC's Thursday lineup is amazing. Parks & Rec and Community better get re-upped. Edit: And to be fair to Megan Mullaly, I think anyone would have a hard time being "funny" on Will & Grace (only show I've seen her in before). One of the worst popular shows of all-time. Basically a show for straight people to laugh at corny jokes, and stereotype gays as outrageous and flamboyant.
  6. Pro: This means there is no way Kendall is coming back. Right!?!? A stretch of Escobar, Gomez, Kendall, and the P spot would be BRUTAL. Edit: Also, we might get some more interviews like this. LOL. Read the guy's description. Two masters of the English language....
  7. Enjoyed the episode after last week's sub-par effort. How about Ryan's Office Exposed collection? The look on Erin's face was priceless. Andy's talking head about RSVP'in, returning favors, etc was very funny. Toby's scene was good stuff as well. Did anyone watch the Subtle Sexuality music video on The Office's website yet? I recommended it last week, but I was the last post of the week so maybe people missed it.
  8. Same here guys. The Bucks are getting some national recognition this week, which has to be the first time in years. He makes the games so much more entertaining. Hoping Meeks gets some PT tonight, and Bogut has another good game.
  9. Agreed, or if this actually was the best offer for Hardy, I would of hung on to him and started him opening day and flipped him during the season.
  10. Yeah, I don't think Melvin is punting here either. I think he knows he doesn't have too long of a leash. If we don't finish over .500 I could easily see him getting canned. This trade is obviously a buy low swap for both teams, but I definitely like it a whole lot better for the Twins given Hardy's ML success. Great 'get' for Minnesota. Also, were we ever seriously considering offering Cameron arbitration? This definitely squashes that idea now, but it sucks losing one of the best CFers for nothing.
  11. Agreed the Meeks might as well get some burn now that Redd is out. He can't be any worse than Roko Ukic. Bullox: I didn't even look at Johnson's stats, because they're largely irrelevant. He's an expiring. He also still has some upside, as he's very young (22). Delfino is what he is at this point, and Ukic is 25 iirc, so not much upside there either (he needs to improve a ton just to be good enough to even belong in the NBA). To make matters worse, Delfino is partially guaranteed next year, and Roko is fully guaranteed. Spending any additional money on players like that is flushing money down the toilet. I'm not 100% sure on this, but I think if we don't do that trade, we could have Sessions and Johnson on this team instead of Ukic and Delfino. Sessions' scoring ability and Johnson's big body would probably have made the difference in the outcome of the game last night. Yoshii: I was impressed with Ilyasova the home opener as well. He's definitely improved. (I read the post game thread on RealGM last night and people were saying he's even worse now. lol) I was just expecting a pretty big impact from him, given as well as he did in Europe. I'm gonna give him time though, no doubt about that. He's the only guy on this team that can pick and pop with young money.
  12. Yeah, I was more worked up about this loss than any Brewers' one this season. Deep down, I know the Bucks aren't going anywhere with this team, and it's probably best they play hard but lose, but it's still tough to swallow. I hate to say it, but Ersan really looks outta place so far. I'm hoping he adjusts here pretty soon. The look he had to win it should be automatic for him. I'm hoping once he loses the mask he starts to hit his shots more consistently. Right now Hammond's trade with TOR is looking pretty awful. Delfino and Ukic are garbage. Good games from Bogut and Jennings. Bell didn't play too bad either.
  13. I can't even put into words how bad Andrew Bogut looked tonight. Ugh. Jennings is a player. He's really raw, but obviously has a ton of talent.
  14. Parks and Rec has definitely picked up. I think I've watched the last 3 episodes, and have come away pretty impressed. Last night, I only saw a few mintues of it, but I'll catch it on hulu. Godspeed: I agree that The Office was a disappointment. The cold open gave me high expectations (Michael was D*ick in a Box LOL), but overall I thought the episode was a dud. OTOH, Erin (developing a huge crush on her) and Kelly's music video is excellent. I highly recommend going to the office website and watching it. Community was excellent last night. I'm very glad it has been picked up for a full season.
  15. Luckily you were able to pull that one off early. With all the notable celeb deaths this year, I'm guessing those costumes will be everywhere. Kind of like a couple years ago when everyone thought they'd be clever by dressing up as Samberg and Timberlake from the SNL sketch, "Dick in box". Those were all over at the party I was at.
  16. I'll go with 28-54. This team is deeper than the last few squads, but just doesn't have any top talent. I'm just hoping Bogut, Jennings, LRMAM, Meeks, and Ilyasova all show signs/make strides.
  17. Billingsley and Loney are both going into their first year of arbitration. I think the Dodgers would do the proposed deal. Fielder is definitely a top 10 hitter in this league, and they'd have a very good shot of resigning him. Kemp, Ethier, and Fielder would give them ideal hitters at the 2,3, and 4 spots. That's a great line-up right now, and I'd argue all 3 still haven't peaked yet.
  18. I'd take Acta over Macha any day. He's one of the few managers that understands, and utilizes sabermetrics. He did kind of act loony towards the end of his tenure with the Nats, but that was an all-around horrible situation.
  19. How about James Loney and Chad Billingsley for Prince? Loney's numbers have been held back by playing half his games in a pitcher's park. Career Away numbers of: .320/.375/.524. Big upgrade over Fielder defensively as well. I think Colleti would probably go for it. I'm sure the Dodgers have enough money to go out and get a guy like Lackey through Free Agency to replace Billingsley in the rotation. Trade JJ for Morrow, and we potentially have four guys at the top of our rotation (if Parra can turn it around) that can actually miss some bats.
  20. Yeah, that was pretty good. I loved how Toby started to walk out before Michael even told him to. I don't know why people are upset that this episode didn't seem realistic. This show has been very unrealistic since the 4th season. I've finally just accepted that, and started to enjoy the show again. Also thought Michael asking for gabagool was hilarious.
  21. It was Phil Cuzzi, btw.
  22. Umm, wow. That "foul ball" hit by Mauer was fair by at least a foot. Over/under on Al berating the umps on his blog? 5 minutes? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  23. I wonder who Chip Caray is rooting for? /blue
  24. So is AROD clutch now? Or was that just a few idiots (ESPN,NYPOST) making a big deal out of a small sample? I really want the Yanks to sweep the Twins. They're my least favorite team in the league outside of the NL Central.
