  1. twobrewers Adam Morrison got a buzz cut over a year ago and he still sucks. I'm almost 100% positive his failure in the NBA is due to his lack of athleticism, rather than his shaggy hair/and or drug use.
  2. Jennings definitely gets Bogut more touches than the other PG's he's played with, but rarely do you see him get Bogut an easy dunk. Bogut's improvement has a lot more to do with him using an effective face-up game. Once Bogut and LRMAM get back this team should be able to compete each night. With good health the rest of the way, I think they could win low 40's. Redd is finished. I don't think he'll ever be an effective player again.
  3. FTJ: Your son has some competition. Holy god is this kid an animal.
  4. You won't get any argument from me on that, Diskono. I think when you take into account players' salaries, Jefferson is one of the least valuable players in the league.
  5. Joe Alexander didn't look as bad at any point last year.
  6. That Delfino description is spot on danzig. Guy has a ton of tools, but it seems a basketball iq is nowhere to be found. Gonna be a tough one @ San Antonio tonight. I guess Redd is coming off the bench tonight. It should be interesting to see if he's even close to 100% or not. Ersan and Jennings need to have big games, and I'd say 2 role players have to step up for us to even have a chance.
  7. Amazing that a guy with a million miles on him (K Thomas) is still light years better than Gadz. Even when Bogut comes back, Kurt should be the backup C. He's way too slow to play the 4 anymore anyways. GREAT game from him. Ersan is a hell of a rebounder. And he's almost like having an extra lottery pick because he's still so young. If he was eligible for the draft last year, there's no doubt in my mind he would have been one. Thank you Larry Harris! Meeks has yet to find his shot. Funny as that was supposed to be his "skill" coming into the NBA. I like the rest of his game though. Hopefully he finds it soon, because he's getting a ton of open looks. Once we're at full health, I think Delfino is the odd man out. He'll probably still start and get about 15 minutes, but he'll hardly ever close out a game. He doesn't do anything great, or even pretty good for that matter (very overrated defender).
  8. Good point. Garnett is one of the most unique players of all-time. He's 7 foot, but he can't weigh more than 235. Probably has a huge part in why he's stayed on the court so long. Maybe Bogut should follow suit and get his playing weight similar to his Utah days, which was about 240. He's transforming into a face-up offensive player anyways.
  9. Has LRMAM been ruled out for the game tonight? I think we get smoked if that's the case. Skiles should probably play some small ball like Nellie in GS. Our backup bigs are so bad that if they see extended minutes I just don't see how we can win. Jennings, Ridnour, Bell, Meeks, Delfino, Warrick, LRMAM, and Ilyasova should be seeing nearly all of the minutes until one of Redd or Bogut get back. Edit: I went back and looked at Shaq's stats, Baldkin, and you're right. He was even injury prone during his prime in ORL/LAL. I didn't recall that. He's never even played 82 games in his career. I guess teams can only count on their 7 footers to play about 65-70 games a year. Hopefully we can get that out of Bogut.
  10. I'm trying to think of a worse episode but I can't do it. This has to be it. As DJ43 said, Recyclops was the worst thing the show ever did. Dwight's cold open last week where you fought himself was pretty terrible too. Maybe they should stop relying on Dwight's "zaniness" to carry whole scenes.
  11. Yoshii: I found the guy on craigslist. I think his name was Andy iirc. He posts views from the seat you'd be buying that are actually legit, so I'd definitely recommend him. Really sucks to hear about Bogut's injury. Guy is definitely brittle, though most 7 footers are. That's what makes a guy like Shaq so freakish. He's stayed pretty healthy his entire career.
  12. I went to the game last night, and sat on the floor behind the hoop. Pretty cool. You can find really good deals from brokers right now. I got these for $40 on craigslist. The only real thing that stood out to me last night was how much better Bogut looked than Lopez. On offense, Lopez looked like a garbage man that has an infatuation with shooting 16 footers.
  13. The thing with Redd is I'd hardly call him a great shooter anymore, and that's what this team really lacks. He'll definitely be an upgrade of Bell though.
  14. It wasn't just his offense. His defense and rebounding were far worse than his offense imo.Yep. He scored 13 tonight, which is fine for an off night. But his d/rebounding were non-existent. That's gotta be a constant for him.
  15. Another very entertaining game. Certainly disappointing to be on the other side it of though. Some things that stood out: Bogut mailed in this game from the tip-off, and it killed us, as his guy had a huge night. That's two scrubs in a row that have outplayed him (Mikki Moore and Drew Gooden). I don't remember his rebounding ever being as bad as it was tonight. He better bring it against Lopez on Wednesday. Jennings had a decent stat line, but he was absolutely brutal down the stretch. What in the hell is he thinking taking fade away 3 pointers for the win when it was tied? Ugh. LRMAM and Ilyasova were the best players for the Bucks tonight. They're clearly better than Delfino and Warrick, and both have already taken the majority of the minutes at the 3 and 4. Ridnour played good, but had a horrendous shot in over time that even the clueless NBAtv announcers were dumbfounded by.
  16. I think Creed has had some legendary lines throughout the series, but between his scene this week, and his line of "Who's your worm guy?" a couple of episodes ago, I think the writers have really run out of ideas for his character. His lines/scenes have become really predictable.
  17. He's worked hard at his jumper. He made a 3 tonight, which was nice to see. A few complete games in row from him. I think it's safe to say he's finally 100%. Our early season schedule really has been a blessing.
  18. LRMAM isn't a big body, he just plays big. Great player, but he's A LOT different than Love. Excellent guy to come off the bench each night, play 30 min, and guard the best scorer. But if he's gonna be playing extended minutes at the 4 this year, I think he's gonna get worn down. I mention Love for several reasons. He'd fit into Skiles and Hammonds system/vision, he can start at the 4 and back up Bogut at the 5, and Gadz and Elson are the only other players of size we have on this team. I don't like that. Ilyasova is a bigger guy, but he's a finesse player offensively.
  19. FYP. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Gotta have the alpha dog in front, my friend. This has been so fun to watch. Either Monday or Wednesday, I'm gonna head down to the BC to sit courtside. If I'm Hammond, I'm desperately trying to get a player that's around Bogut's level impact wise. Personally, I'd love to swing a trade for Kevin Love. Him and Jennings are tight. He'd also make us an absolute powerhouse on the boards, and he'd be a much better option to pick and pop with Jennings because he can shoot the J a lot better than Bogut. Everything's available outside of Bogues, Jennings, LRMAM, and Ilyasova. Any ideas?
  20. Meeks with a casual half court shot at the buzzer. LOL.
  21. Brandon Jennings with a NBA Jam like 3rd quarter. 29 pts!!
  22. How is Dick Bavetta still employed? If Stern had any integrity he'd have been fired 10 years ago. Bucks playing like garbage so far. When Mikki Moore is sinking 18 foot prayers, it's probably not your night.
  23. BrewCityUnit: I'm at a loss. Nearly every player picked after him in the first round has either shown more potential or already better than him. He's also 23, which is a big difference than 20. That's why Jennings has been so impressive. 20 years old and playing like an all-star. The Bucks FO obviously considers him a bust. His option for next year was not picked up. The Clips did that to some Euro stiff, and the Warriors didn't bring back Patrick O'bryant after his second year. I believe those are the only other lottery picks to be cut loose after just 2 seasons.
  24. That was a great game. The refs were really trying to swing it in the Nugs favor in the 3rd (Bogut took several charges that were called blocks, and had a non-moving screen called an offensive foul, Carmello elbowed him w no tech called, etc). I hate having to deal with WWE referring nightly, but this team is really fun to watch. Bogut and Jennings were excellent, as usual. Ilyasova has found a groove as well, and it's nice to see Luc step up. He's probably just getting back to 100%. Delfino and Ukic still continue to play like NBDL players. Also, was there a gas leak at the BC tonight? If it wasn't for Squad 6, that place would have been a morgue all night.
