  1. David Stern should be ashamed of himself.
  2. I think it's hilarious that Sheets is getting lumped together with those scrubs. He's more durable and a much better pitcher than any of the others. Someone is most likely gonna get quite the bargain, even if Sheets continues to slowly decline.
  3. Redd definitely isn't one to fill up the stat sheet. But he has played the best defense of his career this year. A lot of times RJ's man is the one going off.
  4. Iranian Geese imo. Dubya has a few more days to make his move.
  5. He's an Al-Paca. Luke Ridnour has played tremendous on both sides of the court once his back healed up. I think he's signed to a pretty team friendly deal for maybe 2 after this year.
  6. It's kind of funny. For all these years, the Bucks have been looking for a slasher, and supposedly RJ was suppose to be it. But the player that has been much better at taking it to the rack this year is Redd. He's our slasher with him not being as deadly from outside as he used to. I'd really like to see if we could matchup with Toronto and see if they'd take RJ to make a playoff push, and in the process get some of their shooters back (Parker, Bargnani, Kapono). We could shed a bad contract and get better in the process. I doubt Colangelo is dumb enough to do it though.
  7. Oh. You got me. I should have said least valuable. In a one for one trade, I'd take any of those players for RJ, save maybe Dampier. I believe he (RJ) has a player option in 2010-2011, which he'd be crazy to not exercise. The only guys paid comparable money are K-Mart and Dampier.
  8. My god does Richard Jefferson suck. Unbelievable how bad he is. Edit: Now LRMAM just saved his butt on a play w/ 30 sec left. Double Edit: And we're baaack. He just got stuffed with 24 seconds left. He is, dollar for dollar, the worst player in the NBA.
  9. Yep one of the best players on the court tonight.
  10. Joe Alexander has played very well tonight. He may be one of the worst I've ever seen at blocking out, but otherwise he's been impressive.
  11. I'd kind of just like to say that I think Weeks' ceiling is that line of .269/.371/.461/.832. Unless he changes his approach, I don't really ever see him hitting over .270. If he could even just hit .250 consistently, he'd be really valuable because of his on-base skills. After last year, I've really harbored my expectations for him. And I am a Weekster.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif I was worried after he looked like garbage in Spring Training, and for some reason, he didn't do anything until after the all-star break. Maybe he's just a second half player? I personally have no idea; the guy has me puzzled.
  12. Yeah I don't think it's fair to label Joe anything until the end of next year. He's just so athletic and such a hard worker it's hard to envision him as a huge bust. A lot of times these "work-out warriors" like Joe are content once they get drafted and paid. If they're out of the league after their rookie contract? Big deal. Go to Europe and play ball and bang hot European chicks. I don't see that for Alexander.
  13. I'm sure that's exactly what's happening. Does anyone know if Uecker has ever given any indication of how long he plans to stay? His Braun homerun call was probably the best he's had that I can remember. There wouldn't have been any shame in going out with the Brewers making their first postseason appearance in 26 years.
  14. Yeah he's a pretty solid player from what I hear. I think the Cavs would be a nightmare first round match-up. We'd be lucky to win one game. Our team matches up much better with the Celtics.
  15. I wouldn't go crazy or anything, but I'd definitely watch the playoff games. This team is playing the right way, and I'd say they're maxing out their potential with Skiles. It's a lot different than the Karl-coached teams that backed into the playoffs while having a very talented roster. I was so ticked that year I didn't even care to watch.
  16. Hopefully he's reading this thread and it makes him feel guilty and he decides to stay.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  17. Ugggghhhhh. If given the choice, there's no doubt I'd take Jim over Ueck. He's the best.
  18. Charlie Bell is a better defender than Conley. And I don't think any of the 3 players have a chance to be top 50, let alone top 10. I think they're all pretty equal prospects, with Ramon being the best contributor right now. Conley has been putting up putrid numbers for his first 1.5 seasons. That said, I'd still probably do the deal. We need to shave money, and Ramon is gonna get a nice raise this offseason. Alexander isn't needed, as LRMAM is a lot better and should be the future starter at SF, and Ilyasova, if he comes back over, should be a good rotation player at the 3 & 4.
  19. Oh man please let this happen!
  20. I hope he can pick it up so he's somewhat tradeable at the deadline or in the offseason. I think our best lineup is Ridnour, Redd, LRMAM, Villanueva, Bogut. That should be our 4th quarter lineup in a tight game. From reading over at RealGM it seems like Skiles really screwed up in the 2nd quarter with everyone basically playing, except our best player. What in the heck was he trying to prove?
  21. That is amazing. And as someone else said, how do you practice something like this? It's gotta be pretty much one and done.
  22. Yeah, I'm not a fan but he has picked it up the last 10 games or so. I'm now hating on Jefferson. He's probably the worst starter on our team. I was only able to catch the second half, and I'd like to say Bogut played about as well as you can during that period. If I'm not mistaken, I think he played the entire half as well.
  23. Colby: If you had your intake replaced by a reputable mechanic, I wouldn't worry about driving it long distances. I deal with quite a few GM's, and replace nearly every intake on the 3100, 3400, and sometimes even the 3800 engine. At least in my case, I rarely see any of them back with problems. But of course, you could be one of the unlucky ones that gets hosed again. If I were you, I'd probably buy something right now. Like you said, your car is going to take a hit in another 5000 miles. (As long as your car is in good condition, it won't be as bad as you'd think though.) I just looked up your car on the Milwaukee Metro Auction site and a 2000 Black Chev Impala w/ 96000 miles in above average condition just brought $2900 on 1/9. Also, the dealer with the Subaru is going to take a loss very soon if he wholesales it at the auction, so you could probably get it close to that price. As long as the dealer is reputable, and there isn't any brand on the title, that sounds like a very good value if you don't mind the vehicle's history. Also, car prices at the auction are slowly rising again. It hit rock bottom at about the beginning of December, and we're really kicking ourselves for not stocking up then. They're still way lower than they were in the summer, but it seems to be stabilizing a bit. Cars I think you should consider: Ford is putting out some great stuff. Pretty darn close to Toyota and Honda quality for a much better price. The Escape and the Edge are really nice options if you go for an SUV or Crossover. They get good gas mileage for a 4x4, and are both approved by Consumer Reports.
  24. I'm not too sure this is a good deal for us. Conley has looked pretty pedestrian, and I think Ramon is the better player right now and has just as high of a ceiling. I know Conley is a way better defender, so maybe he'll be able to stop penetration so teams won't get wide open looks from 3.
  25. Google Chrome is insanely fast, but trying to quote someone on this board is pretty screwed up.
