  1. I agree about the look Principessa. They had nowhere to go but up after the Schumaker "creation".
  2. Did anyone watch that Brewers classic they showed over the break where Sheets struck out 18? Estrada looked like a different person. Probably about 70-80 lbs lighter.
  3. I think Hart might sleep a little better tonight.
  4. Corey, it must be the steps. Get rid of 'em.
  5. Sheets seems to be throwing his curveball from a different arm angle.
  6. El Duque in MLB 2K7. He throws the Eeephus and it is really tough to wait back on and hit.
  7. For those who can't wait to see Durham will probably get their chance against Zambrano and Harden; two nasty RH'ers.
  8. Pedro, count me in. Works out perfectly with my work schedule and I would love to cheer on the Crew against the Cubbies.
  9. What's the deal with that Gatorade G2 commercial with Alonzo Mourning?
  10. Agreed on the first statement. It is a very good "superhero" movie. But seeing it as #1 on IMDB's top 250 is pretty nuts. My main beef with the movie was how rushed the ending felt. A 2.5 hour movie should never feel rushed at any point, imo. I think if Bardem can win for NCFOM, Ledger can and should win this year. I think he'd be the favorite if he were still alive. Just a jaw-dropping performance. Eckhart was excellent. His character was rushed at the end, but with what he was given, I thought he was great. While Maggie G isn't the best-looking woman, I think she did well in the role, and was a huge improvement. I watched Batman Begins for the first time on Saturday, and then saw The Dark Knight Sunday. Watching them that close together made it that much more apparent. Katie Holmes was embarrassingly bad given the great cast.
  11. Really? An increase of ~ ten wins? Insightful stuff.
  12. Man has Rickie made them count. Out of his 9 HR's, 7 have given us the lead.
  13. The official scorer this series has been atrocious all 3 games.
  14. Probably. Bush is a very smart guy. I don't mind Ned, but this is, without a doubt, one of his dumbest moves yet.
  15. If we're going to pony up for one of the two (which I highly doubt) , it might as well be Sabathia. Sure, he might cost an extra year or two at 20 mil a year, but I think he's a much safer bet than Ben. I love Sheets, but at this point in time, Sabathia is in a different class.
  16. I would look better than Vizquel up there. I have never seen a hitter look that lost up there.
  17. And if JJ fields the ball cleanly he's got Lewis out in the first inning. Both were tough plays, and neither were errors. But according to Dave Bush, the second one was.
  18. So not only was Rickie out but they rule it an error?!?
  19. I was able to only watch Sheets' first inning at work and I thought his 'stuff' was as good in that inning as it was all year.
  20. I saw the higlights of the game. It looked more like Theriot blew up rather than Marmol. I agree that he does have some control problems. Early in the year against the brewers, he was getting behind 3-0 with remarkable consistency and then wind up striking out the batter with a nasty slider a foot of the plate.
  21. 1) Rivera goes ice cold in the second half. Finishes with an OBP under .300 2) Gamel gets called up in September and scuffles in his first big league appearance. 3) Brewers make a couple of deadline deals. Weeks to SDG for Heath Bell.
  22. I'm sick of Brewers' announcers talking about "what might of been" with Griffey's career. Health is a skill. So many announcers are so bitter that Bonds is the HR king and not him.
