  1. well he did have the game winning hit against St. Louis not long ago
  2. Well then I change my mind. It wasnt a good idea at all.
  3. To me it actually makes sense to have Rickie there because then a ground ball scores a run instead becoming a double play. It sucks he got caught, but it wasnt a dumb move
  4. Almost more importantly he is starting to walk a little. 4 walks the past 3 games and 11 on the year. I know it is an extremely small sample size, but for someone who has never walked more than 20 times it is a start. If he can get his OBP up, along with developing some power he is going to become an even more exciting prospect. I was never that excited about him because he was slick fielding and had an ok numbers but the rest of his numbers did not impress me. However, I am now starting to come around
  5. It is crazy that 10 of Braun's 11 home runs have been solo shots.
  6. Hall whiffed because Braun caught it. It looked to me like Hall's glove was above Braun's, but I could be wrong
  7. If they score two off Papelbon I will be pretty happy
  8. Good thing Braun was there for that one, since Hall completely whiffed on it. It was Braun's ball anyway
  9. Sounds good to me. I thought Weeks' ball was harder hit and he was well past the bag by the time the ball got there, but he should have made the play. I thought Dillion's was an error as well. Dillion isnt that fast and that play should have been made
  10. Nice start to this inning. An error and a walk. Maybe they can help us out with another DP.
  11. Maybe true but that sounds exactly like Hall, so where do you put him
  12. Ryan Braun has such a sweet looking swing. He swings so hard, but outside of the low and away pitches, he makes great contact on the ball. It is going to be great having him around for the next years. On a side note i am a little surprised the Weeks "hit" was ruled an error. That was a hard hit ball and not a gimme type play, but it was a play that should have been made i guess
  13. We need to get at least two here. It is nice to see Fielder driving the ball again
  14. Soup has done a great job getting deeper into this game. If he goes 7 and only gives up 4 runs I actually think that is respectable
  15. What was Hall doing there? No reason to be too far off the base there. At first glance I thought Lugo missed the tag but on second viewing he looking out to me
  16. I agree. He has had two (and now more than likely 3) terrible starts. To go along 5 really good starts and one average start. Is he worth his contract..no, but he is not terrible or garbage as some have claimed
  17. Marmol gives up a two-run shot to McClouth in the 9th. 7-5 Pirates
  18. Alfonso Soriano is simply on fire right now for Chicago. 6 home runs in his last 7 games and he has his average up to .289. The game is now tied at 5-5. Zambrano got rocked and did not even record an out in the 5th inning.
  19. Sign me up for the Corey Hart extension as well, although I am conflicted about it because we have a lot of minor leaguers who project as OF'ers. With Braun locked in as an OF and Hart would be as well. That leaves one spot for LaPorta, Gamel (if his glove doesnt stick at 3rd), Brantley, and Gillespie. Now Brantley and Gillespie are far from sure things. LaPorta could stay in the OF with Braun and Hart if Gamel sticks at 3rd, or one of them could move to 1st when/if Prince leaves.
  20. I like Escobar and think he has potential but his OBP is terrible. His minor league OBP is .316, which makes his average of .280 much less impressive. Once he can walk more than I think he can project better as a major league starter.
