  1. That bullpen is going to be crushed. Edwards is struggling right now. Cishek is their best reliever, maybe Wilson or even Chavez, but this a weak bullpen. Soria and Knebel would be closers for the Cubs right now.
  2. Can we play teams with a majority of right handed pitching? I love that lineup vs righties Granderson, Yelich, Cain feels like a lot of guys on base to start a game. I would maybe have Moose clean up instead of Shaw but if Shaws Babip even gets back to .225 for the next few weeks we are behind - it has been near or below .100 for much of that last month.
  3. Did the national media feel as bad for the Brewers when they played 21 games in 20 days? Did CC and the Crew whine about it all the time? They lost 7 of 8 to finish off that stretch.
  4. Not a rivalry though
  5. The Brewers just held the vaunted Cubs lineup to 14 or so hits and 6 runs over 3 games. You will win a lot of series like that. Man this team is fun
  6. Nice inning there for soria. Next inning is huge with Bryant Rizzo zobrist and maybe Baez.
  7. 1 hit and 1 walk for each team through 5. Two errors by the Brewers and the Cubs being able to move guys from 1 and 2nd to 2nd and 3rd is the difference
  8. Yes. This idea used to be floated more around starting P though and when we had Sheets who couldn't hit a lick. Moves the P spot down one I get not wanting to burn a guy when you have a short bench all year but when the bench is so deep why not do it.
  9. Random question could a team while playing on the raid start say Granderson at catcher hitting first and then just substitute him in the bottom of the inning. Sort of like a lead off pinch hitter just so our catchers have one less at bat
  10. In what world is quintana a top of the rotation arm? He has had an era of 3.74 and 4ish with the cubs According to the package the Cubs gave up, he's TOR LOL Well that is true
  11. In what world is quintana a top of the rotation arm? He has had an era of 3.74 and 4ish with the cubs We are the only team he is tor against
  12. And if the dodgers catch us it will probably be because they take at least 5 maybe 6 from the Cards (4 games) and Rockies (3 games) which means those two teams likely struggle. If the Brewers split these next two and even take 1 against the cards you would have to think they would be sitting good. But I am greedy and want the division and the best record in the NL Also just looked at the cards remaining schedule. That is brutal. Dodgers, Braves, Brewers, Cubs ouch
  13. 14 baserunners and 3 runs. And two of those 3 on a sac fly and wild pitch. Weird night with how hard they have been hitting the ball
  14. La Stella is always a tough out as a PH, too. Caratini. They still have some options, but assuming Jeffress pitches the 9th Schwarber would've looked alot better with a bat later this game... Good call. I know the names now that you say them but i don't follow closely enough to remember. Cubs guys always seem like tough outs
  15. Everyone knew hader was coming in that inning. Maddon wasting Schwarber makes no sense. Just a terrible move. I don't know their bench a ton but who is left on there besides Happ for quality bats
  16. I am not able to watch the game but gameday has described a lot of the Brewers outs as sharply hit
  17. Granderson has had some really nice at bats as a Brewer. That was not one of them. But they got the lead and have the top of the order coming up next inning.
