  1. I am disappointed in Braun and Thames. With Pina I just expect it. He doesn't belong on a major league roster right now
  2. Please no on Sonny Gray unless it is for pretty much nothing
  3. Still with Archer? I feel like people on this board put him in the same group as the Scherzer's, DeGrom's, or Sale's of the league. You really want to give up multiple top 10 prospects for a declining 30 year old pitcher? DeGrom or Syndegaard? Sure...but please no Archer. Not a single person on the board puts him in that group. I don't know anyone who wants to trade Huira or Burnes (maybe some said burnes). The other pitchers you mentioned would cost both huira and burnes plus others. Archer is good at the right value. The other thing is the Brewers could see something in Archer that they think can be tweaked to make him more effective. They have done that before.
  4. While I am actually not want say lets trade away a lot of prospects I would be willing to make a big trade for Realmuto or a top of the rotation starter. The reason is I think this team is young enough to compete for a while. If you get a guy like Realmuto your only real weak spot is 2b and SS if Arcia doesnt develop. You have all star level players in Yelich, Cain, Realmuto, Aguilar (hopefully) all together for a few year, and you have solid players like Shaw, Braun, Thames and others here for a bit too. You also have young guys like Broxton, Ray, and Stokes available for OF depth and hopefully Erceg at 3b. Pitching wise you get Nelson and Davies back next year to go with Anderson, Chacin, Guerra, Burnes Or Woodruff (whichever one you dont trade). That is solid starting pitching depth to go with a great bullpen. I think this team is set to make a run next year. Realmuto would put them right there with other teams.
  5. Well Realmuto is one of the best catchers in the game so the love makes sense.
  6. Take back what I said. Read 1.36 for whip which was wrong. my eyes must decieve me with junior. Seems like he is in trouble a lot.
  7. If Perez would have walked too then it would be the end of the world
  8. Saying someone has been smoke and mirrors for 2/3 of a season is a stretch. He’s having a rough day I am pretty sure advanced stats are not that high on Guerra either. High whip. Doesn't go deep in games.
  9. It is all about how far away you think this team is. Trading a lot to get Realmuto would sting but you would be set at catcher for a few years. You would really only have 2b to worry about next year because you have Nelson and Davies coming back in the rotation Aguilar 2b Arcia Shaw Yelich Cain Braun Realmuto With Thames as backup to 1st and Braun. Broxton and santana as well. Nelson Anderson Chacin Davies Peralta Guerra Woodruff Knebel Hader Jeffress Albers Williams That is a really good team
  10. Me either. They will likely ask for burnes too though if what they are asking the nats is true
  11. Really hope Stearns is exploring options at catcher. I was actually hoping Pina would just strikeout there
  12. Why does he have to be hurt? He has been smoke and mirrors a lot of the year
  13. This has been Guerra a lot of the year. He has just gotten out of a lot of jams. I do t trust him much down the stretch
  14. Four pitch walk to the pitcher. How.much you want to bet that comes back to hurt us
  15. This Giants lineup would have looked really scary 4 years ago
  16. Braun getting hot would be huge. He has such a great swing it feels like he has to turn it around
  17. Every prospect above spot 62 has a lower K rate than Ray. Once you get to 62-100, there are several players with similar or worse K rates. One interesting comparison Monte Harrison. Ray's K rate and every other stat are significantly better than Harrison's, but Harrison is the 80th ranked prospect while Ray is unranked. Harrison is one year younger than Ray, and they both have been in AA all season. Yeah, Harrison being 80th makes the whole "We love Ray, he just strikes out too much to make top 100" argument look pretty silly. Harrison: 37.2% K rate, .233/.315/.382/.697, 13 HR, 22 SB Ray: 27.9% K rate, .263/.350/.523/.873, 22 HR, 32 SB Same level, same league, nearly same age with Harrison being 11 months younger. Explain to me how Harrison is the better prospect than Ray. Yeah Harrison would need to drop his k rate 7 to get to Ray. If Ray drops his k rate 7 percent he might be a top 30 prospect
  18. That is what I figured. It is hard for me to believe there are 100 better prospects than Ray. So much prospect rankings seem like they didn't view a guy highly at the start of the year so they are trying to justify why the guy still isn't worth a ranking.
  19. How much worse is Ray's K rate than other top prospects in the game?
  20. All 5 of the Brewers current starters have an ERA lower than 3.75. obviously some have small sample size but without Nelson and Davies I don't think anyone would have guessed that.
  21. Got to believe Chacin is done. Great starts the last two nights by our top 2 starters.
  22. The Cubs had to go get a below average hamels to make up for their free agent mistake in Chatwood. That is fun. There other free agent pitcher has been on the DL most of the year. Nice to.see Theo does make mistakes
  23. Disappointed about the non no hitter. But seems like a nice game for albers to get a little time. Now let's just not let it get close enough for the big guns to have to pitch
