  1. Isn't the new owner the same guy who owns the Colts? That should be enough bad mojo right there 😉
  2. Keep Giannis. He is the cornerstone of the franchise. If they get rid of him, it will be back to the "desert" of no playoffs before he started maturing. Trade Dame -- I wish he was doing better, but he isn't. You have to be able to get some good pieces back for him. @nate82 -- I like the trade suggestion there, for sure. Unfortunately, Brook is too old and immobile. He has to go. Bobby can stay. Kuze -- I'm not sure. He seems like a (wait for it) deer in headlights out there. I think he has potential, but needs to be much better. KPJ -- dude... keep your head in the game. We don't need gangstas on the team. The rest of the team seems to be a mess. This is not on Doc Rivers -- he is doing the best with what he has. I get what the Bucks tried to do. They were trying to go "all in" and it is backfiring. Sigh...
  3. I saw this short from the MLB Network which referred to the same article. Of course, none of their pundits had the Brewers in their top 5 or 10. Hey -- I don't care as long as the Brewers keep being competitive. They will break through. Go Crew!
  4. The Magill meltdown gave me flashbacks to Devin last year when he would pitch back-to-back nights. His mechanics seemed to be wayyyyy off.
  5. I agree. I have heard some people say, "At least he is a non-LIV guy." The whole LIV thing is still a mess.
  6. I would have guessed Tyrone Taylor, but I guess that is not correct. I'll guess Jedd Gyorko?
  7. I see the site put asterisks in place of what I had put. Hmmmm.... Thanks for the clarification.
  8. We hit all three games there last year towards the end of the year. It was very hot outside. I thought the indoor atmosphere was good. The Arizona fans get into it, and they are not rude. I think you will have fun watching the games. I would suggest getting in the lower part of the stadium, though. I heard it gets quite warm up top (but that was late in the year last year). We got an Airbnb about 4 blocks away since we had 6 people. If we didn't walk to the stadium, we got an Uber. We did have a rental car, though, and for the last day we parked in the parking structure across 7th street (that is to the East of the stadium). Very easy walk. I don't remember how much it cost, but it was worth it. We ate at Guy Fieri's and it was ok. There were a lot of football games on and it was really cool that we were outdoors right next to the stadium. The food just seemed like it could be better. People told us to go to Willie's Tacos about a block away. I don't know if it would be good or not. There was a place close by called *** Burgers. The food was pretty good, but it is a bit of a hole in the wall. They have burgers, gyros, and other items. The Kool-Aid main is the cool attraction 😉. I wish I would have taken a picture.
  9. I have a Surface Pro 3. I don't use it for anything more than listening to music... just because. It is not compatible with Windows 11, but I have it to take along in case I need to log into work when I'm not at home. I had an old laptop from work that cost around 5K. At the time, it was absolutely screaming. After 10 years, though, it was really struggling. Software got more advanced. Corporate wanted to have all of these scans, etc. I also could not update the BIOS anymore. So, I got a new one and it was night and day. I figured out how to move my stuff over and it has been awesome. I'm guessing it is a combination of #1 and #2. I don't know if degradation would be the issue. There is an SSD built into the Surface Pro, so hard drive fragmentation wouldn't affect it quite as much. Odds are the standard "agent" type things that run on your workstation simply take up more memory. This is causing more paging and the system is slower. ☹️
  10. I think the Bucks tried to go "All in" albeit rather poorly. This is why I appreciate how the Brewers have managed their team. It is a little different, but still similar in that the Brewers could ship off a bulk of their future to try and get a World Series now.
  11. I keep hearing the "experts" say that Giannis is gone after this year. I hope that doesn't happen. I think they could trade Dame and fill in around Giannis a lot better. They probably need to get rid of Lopez, too.
  12. Blackwell checking out the NBA:
  13. Gee... I guess the Royals must have torpedo bats. If the Brewers give up another double-digit performance today, I'm going to side on the fact that it is more about the Brewers AAA pitching roster than it is about torpedo bats.
  14. Here is my sarcastic overreaction: Brewers first to 100 losses 😉
  15. I heard it might be a little ways off. I guess the robots would have trouble with the movement of the ball. Doesn't make sense to me. A strike is a strike is a strike. Unless Aaron Judge is up there.
  16. That is the Bauers we remember. The poster boy for 3PO.
  17. Judge is not using one. https://www.mlb.com/news/yankees-discuss-new-torpedo-bats
  18. It probably also helped that Cortes was serving up melons for them to crush.
  19. Mac needs to remember that he is the Athletic Director, not just the Football Director.
  20. I literally cried when the USA boycotted the '80 Olympics simply for Lee Kemp. I wish I had the opportunity to meet him now that I am much older. Ben Peterson came and spoke at our school. Not too many people knew who he was, but it was awesome to have somebody of his stature came to podunk Wisconsin... Those were the days.
  21. I got to see him wrestle at the old gym in Marquette. I got his autograph, too, but it is long gone. My dad was a wrestling coach and he always talked about Dan Gable. I was too young to remember Gable, but certainly remember Lee Kemp. The Badger teams were solid. Hellickson actually called our house once and asked for him -- for a story for the Crossface paper. When I answered the phone, I thought he was joking. LOL Funny story -- I had to have PT on my surgically repaired elbow when I was in high school. My therapist was Jim Haines' sister. Very cool.
  22. The Dan Gable loss in the last match of his college career might be the biggest in NCAA history. 😉 Another big wrestling moment was when Rulon Gardner beat the undefeated Aleksander Karelin (The Russian Bear) in the Olympics. Gardner wrestled at Nebraska.
