  1. This one's on FOX, so I'll get to see at least the early innings before heading to Camp Randall. But I'd rather be at Miller Park. The Brewers' lineup, per Facebook: Lopez 2B Catalanotto RF Braun LF Fielder 1B McGehee 3B Gerut CF Hardy SS Kendall C Gallardo RHP Adam McCalvy reports that Cameron is 3-for-27 vs. Matt Cain, which appears to support his day off today. Gooooo home team!
  2. No team should have to face a Molina in three consecutive series.
  3. Wow, it's crowded in here now. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif Edit: So...Monday's game is Carpenter vs. Bush (more likely Narveson). Neither option looks good on paper.
  4. 60% now. Come on, Soup, the quality start is within your grasp.
  5. Brian Anderson is trying his best to jinx the Brewers ("they've made two first-inning runs stand up" in the 5th). Edit: I have 2/3 of the posts in this thread. I can't be the only one here...
  6. WIBA streams online...I wonder if you could at least get Brian Posick's call on the computer, or if you have to go through uwbadgers.com and pay for it.
  7. pretendastronaut, if you're around, feel free to add your graphics. Otherwise, we're kickin' it old-school tonight. It's probably a Retro Friday, so why not? 2B Felipe Lopez RF Jason Bourgeois LF Ryan Braun 1B Prince Fielder 3B Casey McGehee CF Mike Cameron C Jason Kendall SS Alcides Escobar RHP Jeff Suppan ...per the JSOnline Brewers Blog, in which we are reminded that the Brewers' elimination or "tragic" number is 16. Thanks for the pick-me-up, Anthony Witrado. Come on, Brewers: save face tonight.
  8. That is awesome. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif At the risk of taking this thread too far off-topic, JimH5's childhood memory reminds me of when I was a kid, used to see a traffic sign in Janesville that said something like "Traffic from Right Does Not Stop," and I clearly remember marveling at the thought that there must always be traffic at that intersection, coming from the right, even at 3:00 AM. Eventually, I figured out what the sign really meant.
  9. Ohhhh, finish them, Trevor! If it comes down to DeRosa facing you, it'll be like my maddening dream from the other night come true. Edit: I guess it won't probably be DeRosa, will it? Another edit: Hah! Siddown, Albert!
  10. Oh, good lord, Vargas got out of that? I guess we did call him Houdini his first go-round here.
  11. Ooh, ooh, a lead! I'll step out again so as not to jinx them further.
  12. Albert made an out? Is that legal? How unclassy of the Brewers.
  13. This feels like one of those days where a two-run deficit might as well be 20. But I'll try to hope for better...in between a zillion tasks at work.
  14. I did not know that about the Chevy bags. Thanks for the tip. I do have a bead on a Fielder drawstring bag now. Thanks.
  15. Not to pile on excessively, but even I (and I'm not hip to music) thought of "Right Now" but decided not to post it because you said it wasn't Van Halen. That's just about the only VH song I like.
  16. I too expect economic factors and the likely lack of 2009 playoff contention to combine to make 3 million for 2010 difficult. The lure of making a postseason deposit and having that cover most of the next year's renewal was like double happy good fortune for the Brewers. I'd certainly like to think the Brewers wouldn't return quite to 8K crowds, though. I do like the thought of a new generation of diehard fans being developed by the Brewers' recent (relative) success - the way the late 70s and early 80s Brewers sparked an interest for many of us. I hope that neither the economy nor the on-field product turns too many people off.
  17. I noticed the On Deck announcement on Facebook too. My first thought was that they're trying to reach the fans who (given the team's 2009 fortunes) are turning their attention to football, before they get completely tied up in football. Invader's "early cash flow" theory also makes sense. It's no farther in advance than inviting people to line up at MP in February for single game tickets to September games, I guess.
  18. Is this something sbrylski is really wondering about...or did he just want to see us post a bunch of videos? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  19. According to this archived page, I was one of 11 members (and 10 guests) in the forum on or about August 9, 2003.
  20. I haven't thought seriously about dream analysis, but since I had a baseball related dream overnight, I'll share it in this thread. It was the top of the 9th and Trevor Hoffman was trying to preserve a 2-1 lead vs. the Cubs. Mark DeRosa was up and despite my fervent hopes to the contrary, he took Trevor deep with runners on. 5-2 Cubs. I woke up kind of mad, until I realized that DeRosa isn't a Cub anymore...then I remembered he is with STL and could theoretically be facing Trevor tonight. Great. At least, I don't have a history of dream clairvoyance.
  21. I'd like to get my hands on either of two SGA drawstring bags of recent years: the one that looks like a Fielder retro jersey (from 2008) or the navy one that advertises Chevy as well as the Brewers. I would prefer a bag that has not been used. I have the following available to trade: 5" pinstriped Paul Molitor bobble (2007) 1957 Braves nesting doll set (2007) Bill Hall bobblehead, modern uniform (2007) Jeff Suppan bobblehead, modern or pinstriped uniform (8/30/2009 - I have one of each) Please send me a PM if you can help. Thanks.
  22. Fairly or unfairly, I've always been turned off by Belliard's body language, which to me looks lackadaisical. That play is awesome, though - thanks for posting it, joepepsi - and I will let it displace 6 percent of the ill will I usually harbor toward Ronnie.
  23. Available in aisle 4, near the Silver Spring Mustard.I know. We already have some. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  24. Zach, given the sheer number of Julio shirts I saw on Friday, you should be OK (unless many others besides Brewers Super Collector made the purchase).I've been mulling the Shouse shirt (actually, 'shirsey' is not a bad coined term) for a while. I don't think my size is available anymore, though. Now that I think of it, there were also a few Kaplers when I looked on Friday.
  25. Item no. 3714 that I'm practically un-American: I don't like ketchup. Or catsup. Secret Stadium Sauce, however, is a whole 'nother (and much better) condiment.
