  1. Personally I wish he went back to his old batting stance. This new one he has looks awkward and it obviously isn't helping, although his spring numbers were good.
  2. I know Vinny Rottino isn't ripping it up in Huntsville right now. But I think he'd be a decent choice to back up Kendall for what will hopefully be a short time. That will help keep Salome's development going as planned in Nashville. Rottino has been with the big club before so he shouldn't be overwhelmed. And he's a decent utility guy who can play other positions too. I'm not sure who I'd send down if we don't put Rivera on the DL. It'd be really nice if Nelson still had an option remaining.
  3. At this point in time, just making contact and hitting a foul ball would be a successful at-bat for Nelson. The poor guy is completely lost at the plate right now. He really couldn't look any worse if he just closed his eyes and held his bat out, hoping the ball would hit it. I really hope he gets out of this funk soon because this team can't afford to have such a huge black hole on our bench. CC is the only one we can depend on at the moment.
  4. Tom's Drive-In's in the Fox Valley are about the only fast food place I'll go to get a burger from when I am at home. A&W is pretty good too.
  5. Craigslist's "Casual Encounters"
  6. I always thought Santos looked more like a Miami coke dealer than a vampire. I swear I have seen him on Miami Vice.
  7. I watched the replay a few times because I was kind of furious at Hall for under-handing that throw as well. But after checking it out, the underhanded throw might have been the right choice. When Hall made the grab, his glove was low as he was running towards 2nd. It looked pretty easy to get the ball out of the glove and just underhand it to 2nd (granted there wasn't much juice on that ball). If Hall did the normal overhand toss, He would have to get the ball out of his glove which was near his knees, pull his arm up around his head and then throw the ball to 2nd. Which by the time it would take to get through that throwing motion, he'd probably be a point blank range at 2nd. It's probably a horse a piece which choice is the correct one. It would have been tough turning that DP regardless. But that's just my opinion.
  8. When I first got wind of this situation was last weekend reading the little ticker on MLB Network. It read something along the lines of "Dukes fined $500K for arriving late to team meeting" or something along those lines. I immediately went to my computer to try to find more info on the story because I thought fining a guy $500,000 was absolutely insane. I was a little disappointed to find out later on that it was only $500. Based on the information the public has been given, I think Dukes wasn't given a fair deal. I highly doubt Acta will still have his job by June anyway.

  10. She was hosting MLB Tonight last night and she was looking goooooooood. Looks like she went to the salon over the weekend or something because her hair is all done up and she is wearing more makeup than I have ever seen her with. She has always been a cutie, but now she is getting into Hot territory. Anyone else notice this?
  11. I'm on my iPhone right now. Staying in Oakland at the moment. Weather doesn't look good. Looks like 80% chance of rain the rest of the day. Gonna be hard to get the game in. Anyone locally know where I can get updates regarding the game happening and what to do if game is cancelled?
  12. I never thought that I would someday pay $4.25 for a hot dog.
  13. Looks like Hammer is the winner! Hammer, check your PM please.
  14. UPDATE!!! Looks like I now have to drive out to San Francisco instead of fly. My brother's VW Bus blew it's motor and I'll be driving out my winter beater to give to him. So now I have to leave like 4 days earlier than expected. Because of that, I'll be picking the winner sometime Weds or Thurs so I can get the winner the ticket before I leave. By the looks of things, everyone has decent odds of being the winner.
  15. Hey all! I'm heading to San Francisco for the Brewers season opening series. Because I am going to be out of town, I find myself with a bunch of tickets I can't use. I'd rather miss the vomit and the fist-fights when the Cubs come to town, so I decided to Stub-Hub the tickets for that series. I also have a season seat for the Timber Rattlers. I'll still be in San Fran when the season opener happens in Appleton, so I'd like to give my ticket to one lucky fellow from brewerfan.net. The seat is Sec 105, Row C, Seat 1. It's right next to the T-Rats dugout entrance. Game is on April 9th (Thirsty Thursday!!!) at 6:35. The winner can feel free to keep the Fang/Bernie Brewer Bobblehead that will be given away as well. I have no use for it. Although I would love to get a hold of a magnetic schedule that will be given away at the Brewers' home opener. Just indicate if you're interested in the ticket in this Topic, and I'll randomly pick a winner next weekend on the 4th or the 5th. Edit: Feel free to re-locate this thread if it belongs somewhere else.
  16. Marlins would have to move to the AL if a Marlins/Cubs World Series were to happen in 2015. That is if they remain playing with todays rules.
  17. I'm surprised this thread is deep in it's second page already. I figured it would have died quickly. Please let the season start soon so we can begin discussing about the action on the field.
  18. My girlfriend got me a Snuggie as a "welcome home" joke gift when I got back from Hollywood last weekend. I'm trying to find someone who can put a big ball & glove logo on it so I can sport it with pride when I head out for the San Francisco games next month.
  19. At least he has the guts to tell the truth. He could have sugarcoated it like Dunn did when he signed. Does anyone really think he is thrilled to be a National? I'll take blatant honesty over sugarcoating and walking around the truth any day.
  20. Yahoo article. Not sure if this is a huge deal. But he was a Milwaukee native.
  21. No kidding FTJ. This about all Jake Peavy has to live for this year. Unless he gets traded to a contender at the deadline.
  22. I'll be there for the Weds & Thurs games. Gonna meet up with my brother who got us a good hotel deal in the Wharf. I'll be in the outfield bleachers for Weds. I fly in that afternoon, so I got cheap seats just in case my flight gets tied up and I miss the game. But I'll be 8 rows up from the Brewer dugout on Thursday. I really recommend sitting in the club level if you can afford it. the perks are really nice. Not only are you close to the action on the field, but the ushers really do a great job of keeping the fans from interfering the game by getting up in the middle of play. Exiting the club section through the tunnel will take right next to the clubhouse entrance where players will stop and sign autographs. If you continue walking down the hallway, you'll be able to watch the players take some BP in the indoor batting cage. Food is brought to you by servers. It's really quite nice. I'm hitting up the In-N-Out Burger while I'm there. I was in Hollywood last weekend and ate there 4 times. Even had my buddy have In-N-Out waiting for me when he picked me up at LAX.
  23. To me it looks like the same old 1982 banner (which is in dire need of a redesign) they've always had. Can't figure out what is to the left of it.
  24. Do T-Rats season ticket holders get tickets for this game? I'm not sure if this game was originally scheduled to be played in Appleton or not at all. I wanna go, but I really don't wanna pick up a ticket when they go on sale if I already have a ticket waiting for me with my season package. Update: A representative of the T-Rats just gave me a call and told me that I'll be receiving a ticket to the Miller Park game with my season tickets. Any other season tickets holders will be getting tickets to this game as well.
  25. I was there for that series too. So much fun. I'll be back for games 2 & 3. What should I expect weather-wise Series? I froze my butt off the last time. Don't want to make that same mistake.
