  1. - Torres allows the tying run in the bottom of the ninth, blowing the save. With two outs in the 9th, Torres moves to LF and Stetter gets the last out of the inning. - The Brewers score thee in the top of the 10th. At that point, because he completed the 9th, Stetter becomes the pitcher of record. If Torres shifts from LF to P for the bottom of the 10th he could, theoretically, blow a second save if he gives up three or more runs in the bottom of the 10th. Now that's REALLY thinking "out of the box". http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  2. What's his contract status? Maybe this is a move more for next year????
  3. I would have Soupp on a very, very short leash tonight, especially since Bush didn't have to pitch last night. And since Bush is scheduled to pitch Saturday, this may be the last day you could use him. You don't figure to have to use him tomorrow with CC on the hill, or Thursday with Sheeter going. Any sign of trouble from Suppan and I give Bush a shot tonight.
  4. I think you need to keep your hopes constant. That might be my problem. My hopes for the Crew are consistently a bit too high I think. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  5. Do you think it has anything to do with the camera angle they have in St. Louis? With the camera being right in back of the pitcher, you can see if it's inside or outside a lot better, than having to make that slight adjustment for the "regular" camera angle that's off to the side. Just a thought.
  6. I'm hopeing. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif When he was here for those Royals games, he was able to get us third row, right behind the plate. But those were technically spring training games.
  7. I believe this is his 10th year in baseball. He's a few years younger than me, I want to say he's 34. Went to the umpire school. Started in rookie ball, worked his way up to AAA. He's on the short list of guys who may be called up the major's full time, just need a few more to retire. He's been in the Pioneer League, South Atlantic League, Carolina League, Texas League. He's a crew chief in the Pacific Coast League now, and he's been up in the majors for at least 30 games already this year. He got to do the pre-season games here this year against the Royals. Yeah, it's been a difficult journey to say the least, they don't get paid that much in the minors, he also does some lower level college basketball in the winter. But he's so close to the majors now, we're all pretty excited for him. Lot's of guys just give up eventually, but it's what he's always wanted to do.
  8. Pretty cool chart there, obobo55. I might switch the "-2, -3" outcome to red thou, and "-3, 1" outcome to yellow. Cool chart. Let's steal one more tonight Crew!! Also if they win tonight, I believe that puts them at .500 on the road this year. Make my trip down there Thursday that much more sweet.
  9. How exactly is pre-break numbers of .285, 17, & .901 playing over his head???? Wishful thinking???
  10. the radio broadcast must not have had the update, since they did not announce him...but the box has him I noiticed that. I was going to email them to get it corrected.
  11. So where are you sitting? I won't know where I'm sitting 'till I get to will call. I'm going thou.
  12. The heck with it. I'm driving down for Thursday's game. Sheeter's on the mound, my cousin's behind the plate, he can get me a sweet ticket, Crew may be playing for first place...how can I not?!?!?!? Yep, I'm going. My boss is a big baseball fan, (althou he's a ScRubs fan), he told me I should drive down there. My sister is going to be at Wednesday and Thursday's game, so I'll just meet up with her Thursday. I'm going!!!!
  13. This team refuses to loose right now. The CC factor. Everyone get ready, we're in for a wild ride these next two weeks.
  14. I can't believe I'm actually watching the stupid ScRubs play.
  15. Even if it's just for a few more hours... The Crew is 2.5 games in back of first place right now. Tied for the Wild Card, but one up in the loss column with St. Louis.
  16. Emailed him today. Gave him the Caddyshack, Rodney Dangerfield quote: "Keep it fair, keep it fair."
  17. If you could send those to me, that would be cool. Thanks. Yeah, he should be behind the plate for that game. He's # 97. I can't go. But some of my family is going down for tomorrow's game.
  18. ScRubs - Dbacks on right now. I'm still getting it free on DTV.
  19. I might actually have to use this free Extra Innings stuff tonight. Listen to Vasgersian on the D-backs feed.
  20. This team just refuses to loose right now. Are we seeing a little of the "we're going for it" mentality from the Crew Kids? The CC Factor? Those stat guys can keep telling us Sabathia only adds two wins all they want. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  21. Good to see Billy go 2-4 this game. Man, if he could get hot. Get a little bit of the 2006 Bill Hall back for the 2nd half. Make that 3-5, HR. Go Billy Hall!!!
  22. You have got to be kidding me. This wouldn't even work in a movie.
