  1. I'm a big advocate of the Gatorade.
  2. Roth is washed up. But I'd still take "washed up Roth" over anybody else out there touring. He may have his moments, but he's still one of the ultimate frontmen and kicks the crap out of most of the garbage that passes as music these days.
  3. I'm on my way...the friends have just left after the game. How great am I to allow them into my home to watch the Packers?
  4. I expect to be back tonight as well. I've got a bunch of my buddies coming over to watch the Packers and I assume the beer will be flowing. I also expect that they will be bringing the beer!
  5. Word, luv. Just another lonely night..except for the beer in my fridge!
  6. On the VH and Bradley Center websites, this show isn't even listed yet. On Pollstar.com it's listed as a show announced in the past 72 hours, so I'm sure details are forthcoming.
  7. Not wanting to cloud up the "greatest band" thread with this news about another bad I considered for greatest, I saw this posted about the spring leg of their tour: April 7, Bradley Center, Milwaukee WI - Milwaukee, WI @ Bradley Center - Milwaukee, WI @ Bradley Center r. 07 - Milwaukee, WI @ Bradley Center
  8. I may have missed the hoops coverage, but I enjoyed watching the hockey team this weekend, despite the results.
  9. Duke currently favored by 8. If I were a gambling man, I'd throw a few on Wisky to cover. You know, I'd normally think that too, but the refs already love Coach K, and then on the home court.....free throws down the stretch could cover that spread for Duke. I would never go against them at home solely for that reason. Coach K seems like a decent guy, but I hate his teams. He is my college hoops version of Michigan football--it always pleases me when they lose.
  10. Like the Energizer bunny....still going.
  11. Monday night drunkeness! I plan an entire week of reliving my college days...my daughter is at Disney this week, so I plan on late nights and beer! Tonight I'm tipping them all in honor of Quiet Riot's Kevin Dubrow, who passed away on Sunday. I know you all think QR sucks, but that's fine...this is my tribute. Late night beer and QR albums. Say hi to Randy Rhoads, Kevin!
  12. No thanks, there will be plenty of deals to be had in the upcoming month and subsequent post-holiday clearance sales. I despise shopping in general and there's no way you'd get me out with the sale-crazed minivan Moms darting about Target at 5AM. I will do all of my shopping in one night. I may just wait for a snowy night and hit the stores while everyone stays off the roads.
  13. NBC's hating that contract this year.
  14. my collection that is most impressive is my KISS collection... I'd like to see that. Very nice stuff posted by everybody in this thread! I've got loads and loads of older stuff, but it's all in storage totes. Someday, I'll be able to break it all out. For now, all I've got on display is my CD rack.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  15. I don't understand how any non-season ticket holder can expect to have more than a 1% shot at World Series tickets anyways. The question is, what kind of season ticket base do the Rockies have? They were basically picked to go nowhere this year, so I have to wonder how many fans bought packages knowing they could walk up any night. It probably wasn't like Brewer fans who were buying any packages they could with the prospect of a shot at playoff tickets.
  16. burniebrewer, thanks a ton for that link. I would imagine after talking to a few of those people that a trip to the library, and anywhere else, wouldn't even be necessary. No problem, Colby. It still bothers me that they cut the baseball program at UW and I'm glad to help. Would you please post or send me a message when the story is printed? I'd love to read it.
  17. Colby, here is a website for you to check out: http://dug-outclub.com/Members.aspx Some names there that are fairly accessible: Steve Land, the final coach for the team. Tom Bennett, former player and former head coach at Madison Memorial, still a teacher. For what it's worth, I could ask my Dad about some stuff if you'd like, he played for the Badgers from 1969-71 along with Bennett.
  18. Somebody should teach those gents how to wear a hat.
  19. Coffee- I've never tried coffee. Cigs- I've never smoked cigs. Alcohol- I go out maybe once a month, so no biggie. I probably spend about $30/month for home consumption. Convenience store water- Never. I buy the 28-pack of Ice Mountain for $3.99 at the grocery store and keep it in the fridge. That's around 14 cents/bottle. Manicures- Never. I just bite my nails. Car Washes- Never. I wait for rain. Weekday Lunch- Probably Subway twice a week, so about $15. Vending Machines- If that counts soda at work, I probably spend about $10/week. Interest charges- Yeah, I pay some of that. Not too much though. Unused gym member- Gotta join one to not use it, right? Geez, I should be rolling in money based on this article. I don't really spend much on any of the things listed.
  20. As many around here know, my NFL team is Philadelphia. I remember watching them as an 8-year old kid and decided I liked them. They've been my team ever since. Before the Brewers went to the NL, I was a Mets fan. When the Brewers switched leagues, out went the Mets. I don't really have an AL favorite. In college, I've always liked LSU. Growing up, my Dad had a friend from Louisiana and he'd always bring me LSU t-shirts and a football jersey. I really liked their baseball program, but now that Theriot and Fontenot are Cubs.....
  21. What was the magazine in Seinfeld George "used" Redbook? Glamour.
  22. OK, so you don't like grocery stores. You know where there is always a ridiculous amount of women? Target. The Target here has a little cafeteria behind the registers--go have a coffee and enjoy the views.
  23. pee with the door open. Am I supposed to close it when others are home? Don't like it? Don't look!http://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/tongue.gif
  24. Grocery store? The only ladies I ever see in the grocery store are old ladies pushing their shopping carts so slow it impedes traffic in the aisles Dude, you're shopping at the wrong stores. I love grocery stores!
