  1. Unfortunately, I only golf about 3 times a year, so spending money on clubs is not something I do. If I were ever to get more serious, sure, but for now I'm happy to shoot 90 the few times I actually play and deal with some slices and hooks.
  2. Thanks Dawg. For some reason, I chuckled when I read this coming from Al. I will be there on Saturday night, upper deck, right behind home plate. I can't recall the section, but 422 is sounding familiar.
  3. Any time I've tried one of these new light drivers, I can't slow down enough to compensate for the heavier clubs I'm used to and spray the ball all over the place. That being said, my Dad just won a new 10.5, 460 driver (I don't think it's a big name brand) at an outing and he's given it to me because he doesn't like it. So, I guess I'll be trying to figure it out when I play on Wednesday at Hawk's Landing in Madison. Geez all of these golfers, we need a BF.net outing.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  4. Is there seriously enough (any) interest in an MLS team in Milwaukee?
  5. Passed away from leukemia at 71. Not sure how many of you remember him, but I enjoyed his interviews when he hosted his late-night talk show. Some may recall he got his start in Milwaukee as a radio reporter in the '60s. www.channel3000.com/enter...etail.html
  6. Everyone should do what I did and just take a day off. I feel so much better about this loss having not seen one pitch of it. Can't even begin to describe it. As much of a diehard as I am, it's hard to do that, but I'm ready to avoid all road games the rest of the way and just check the score online later in the day. It's not that I'm abandoning ship either, it's just killing me to watch these road efforts.
  7. Bonds may have had his last home AB for over a week today when he just reached on a booted pop-up in the 8th. They won't sit him for a week will they?
  8. Quite a pitching duel on the south side today. Marcum (TOR) has allowed one hit through 7 and Vazquez (CHI) has allowed two hits through 7+.
  9. I'm guessing that batter has never been accused of using roids.
  10. If you're doing play-by-play for the Astros, do you still go with "It's still early fans", or just skip to...."Tomorrow's starters are?" It is still early....Astros have hung a 7 in the 4th, it is now 12-8.
  11. Padres have hung an 11-spot in the first at Houston against Jason Jennings and are still batting. Talk about a bad start.
  12. PHOENIX -- Phoenix authorities said a man whose high-speed chase spurred the coverage that resulted in two news helicopters colliding and the deaths of all on board, may face charges in connection with the deaths. The man fleeing from police was taken into custody by a SWAT team after barricading himself inside a house following the accident, police said. Police Chief Jack Harris suggested he could be charged in connection with the collision. "I believe you will want to talk to investigators, but I think he will be held responsible for any of the deaths from this tragedy," Harris told reporters at the scene. He did not elaborate. 13. I heard about that just after it happened this afternoon but hadn't seen the footage. They're saying the guy who was leading police on the chase may likely face charges in the deaths of those on the choppers. Very sad.
  14. Better get them now, Reds. Cubs have Theriot, Lee, Ramirez due up.
  15. Nice job Weathers.
  16. 1. Carlos Zambrano 2. Aramis Ramirez 3. Alphonso Soriano 4. Derrek Lee 5. the other 21 with the C on their cap I hate the Cubs.
  17. Something about staying out all night at Brats, then golfing, and then going to get PBR's and Bacon at Wando's. What else is there?
  18. Got the car fixed today...thought I'd celebrate by having a "few" beers.
  19. Keep walking guys and falling behind in the count, Jeff.......
  20. Bobby Jenks did it for the White Sox today as well.
  21. I was gonna suggest he shave his head and get rid of the mop. Now he has to do something about that ridiculous tail.
  22. Wow. I know athletes will do some interesting things to get a certain number when they join a new team And this is so much better than buying another athlete a Rolex.
  23. Loud talkers, close talkers, B.O......... This is becoming a Seinfeld thread!
