I still can't get the link thing to work for me. I started the Neifi Perez thread in the ML Forum and had a link to his story to add. I clicked on the link box we discussed earlier and added the necessary information. Nothing appeared in my post.
Is Zambrano hurt? He was doing some funny stretching with his arm between pitches earlier and now Lou pulls him after the HR. Lou was out there before the inning as well. Something's up.
Did you hear Brenly in the second inning discuss the Brewers incident yesterday? His response was something to the effect of, "That's why Johnny Estrada has played for three teams in six years." Thanks Bob.
How do I add a link to my post? I tried in the "altercation" thread but ended up having to italicize the link and then I got stuck in italics when I tried to edit the post.
Adam McCalvy has a story about the altercation on Brewers.com with some comments from Melvin regarding the incident. They also have a brief video of the incident. http://milwaukee.brewers.mlb.com/news/gameday_recap.jsp?ymd=20070802&content_id=2125134&vkey=recap&fext=.jsp&c_id=mil Edit-Sorry about the link, I'm still trying to figure this all out. Huh? Now, I'm stuck in italics. Ugh.
I feel like a site newbie all over again as Yuku took away almost 3000 of my posts. But remember...it's the quality, not the quantity. I think I've finally figured most of this out though.
Wow, that's a heckuva lot to give up for 2 months of Gagne. Melvin was quoted on JSOnline as saying Texas made a good trade getting two guys going right to the major league roster. For what it's worth, the story also indicates that Texas GM Jon Daniels "was seriously considering our offer" of Gwynn, Zach Jack and possibly another minor leaguer.
Wow Casey, that was touching. We had to put my boy (yellow lab) down some three years ago and I still think of him every day. He was about twelve and the legs were gone. His heart was still in it, but not his body. It finally came to be that taking hidden pills in his food just to save the pain was not fair. I'll never forget saying goodbye and the pain I felt as I walked out the door knowing I'd never see him again. Damn, I just teared up typing that. As a tribute, I keep his dog tag on my key chain. He's always with me that way.
I was just playing with the kid outside in our mini pool and nw were back inside waiting for mom to get home from work. I love doing that. We've got one of these and it's great because I can sprawl out from head to toe. My daughter thinks its so funny that I go in there and splash around with her.
Well an early happy birthday to you. The next one is for you! Thanks, I may have another myself. I've got a golf outing tomorrow, may as well practice.
I am drinking, almost a 6 pack of GDL I'm having a few as well. I'm on vacation and it's my birthday tomorrow. Celebrating with the house to myself, the A/C on and some cold beers.
outrageous prices. IIRC, it was $24 for a six-pack of premium beer. But really, that's only $4 per bottle, much less than in the regular seats. However, when I think of a suite, I'd like to think it's an all-inclusive kind of deal.
They had a story about The Simpsons Movie/Burger King on Nightline last night and the Simpsonize Me thing was discussed. I'm guessing it's going to stay busy for a little while now with all of the people that watched the show coming to check it out.
was it Dane Cook? He's doing some playoff commercials, I don't know what commercial you are talking about though. Yeah, I think that was the voice. Not a fan, must be why I couldn't place it.
The commercial they just showed on ESPN with all of the baseball highlights, who was the guy "hosting" it? The voice sounded familiar but I couldn't place the face.
