  1. The only way you justify bringing Cordero in in that situation is if we were in a win or die situation. It was an ugly, frustrating game all the way through. And frankly, we didn't deserve the win. Hopefully this can serve as a catalyst for the team because there's going to be some reamings in the locker room tonight.
  2. Not that everyone hasn't chimed in on Estrada's display, but seriously, he's on a tear right now. He could have saved an out in the SF series too if he would have even tried to get down to first base. And that horrible strike out to end Saturday's game where swung at a pitch that hit him. What the heck is going on with Estrada? If we're that livid with him, imagine how the team feels about him right now.
  3. We have 28 home games left, FYI. So if you're jumping on now, that's a lot of games. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif As for cost, I don't much care what it costs if we make the playoffs, the energy of the stadium will be something to not be missed. A good friend of mine was at the Yankee/Red Sox game a couple years back where Aaron Boone hit that game winning home run, and he still raves about that game. And just to back up an earlier post, my understanding is that 20 game packs get an opportunity to buy tickets for every home post season game, WS or otherwise.
  4. I agree, we have to be looking for at least 5-3 here, considering who we're playing. However the double header will be interesting, to see how they react to that and how the pitching can hold up. We need some strong starts this road trip or the bullpen might just completely fall apart.
  5. As if I needed any more addictions. I've been having good luck with the end of the bat too.
  6. Sergio just seems to lack the mettle to be successful doesn't he?
  7. Costas and baseball go together like milk and cookies. I really enjoyed hearing him on TV Friday night.
  8. That strikeout by Johnny pretty much summed up these past two games. I'm not really one to rip on Ned, but I don't know how you leave Spurling in there after walking the pitcher to load the bases. And speaking of, why'd they leave Lincecum in to bat, but pull him from pitching the 9th anyway?
  9. Kenny Allbert Who is the most annoying sportscaster on Fox's payroll?
  10. Do we know the whole story? Did you witness it or just get their version? Personally I don't think the sign is worthy of being kicked out of the game for, and I'm not sure what they could be arrested for. Trespassing I guess maybe, if they were told to leave? Regardless I'd have to guess there's more to the story than that.
  11. Ya I don't understand all the doubting. We have a competitive team, and it may come down to the wire, but I believe we have a team that can make the playoffs one way or the other. Sure there's holes, but find a team that doesn't have holes. A lot of people point to the sometimes less than stellar pitching, but every single team is looking for pitching right now too, and there just aren't extra arms to be had. We've gotten this far and its been a lot of fun, don't start second guessing the team now, have some faith.
  12. Ya I always thought it looked like they found a rabbit costume head at a garage sale and asked, "what can we do with this?" And thus the rally rabbit was born. Personally I don't miss it and gladly forgotten all about it until today.
  13. What type of tv is it? It sounds like its flat panel as you're able to lay it flat, but you said its not plasma or LCD. I'd always been told not to set a flat panel on its back.
  14. This is the game of averages people. Have some faith. Remember when we played way above expectations twice this season? You have your ups and your downs. The good news is, that even though we haven't been playing great lately, we've been winning more than we've been losing. What are we, 5-3 since the break? And we've only had one really good game in that stretch?
  15. I liked hearing Costas on tv. He's got a great baseball voice.
  16. Random note: Brewers games in HD makes me giddy.
  17. We have a very similar schedule as the Cubs in the second half. The only spot that worries me is that our final week is a lot tougher than the Cubs'.
  18. Oh, another reason to buy new is that MS just upped the warranty on the 360 to 3 years. No need in screwing yourself out of a good bump in warranty time by buying used.
  19. 3 more outs for the pen to hold one for Gallardo finally.
  20. At 10-1 isn't it time to start getting some of our backups in the game?
  21. Now Wise with a hit. I think Brewers pitchers have a collectively higher average than Gross this week.
  22. Gabe Gross? Are they hitting off a tee now?
  23. Actually, I would say we're slumping lately. Fortunately though we've still been winning games.
  24. Such a relief to finally see them bringing those runners in.
