    People are upset because he talked about his contract. Its more of that Wisconsin self-esteem issue where they not only want players to play here, they want players to love playing here and willing to do it cheaply. "You love us, you really do love us!"

    How can you compare these two things? Playing at home is a clear advantage for any team because of the opportunity to bat last. That's an advantage even before you consider things like the home crowd, familiar stadium, no travel, etc. Actually for thr Padres it could be a real thing. Day games surpress offense and when you basically have to hold the other team under 3 runs to win every little bit helps.

    Yep, its not like Dillard can't pitch some important t7h innings as it is. It would be nice for the Brewers to have finally developed a decent reliever though.

    And who is this mythical pitcher? Sheets will easily get a 4 year deal and very likely a 5 year deal. He's a top 15 pitcher. They don't come available that often.

    Its been a little while but I used to do some TV work back in college. A bad TD can make it a problem if he's calling for a bunch of CG stuff without givng the guy enough time to pull it up and having it ready to go.

    I'd think they'd have one person responsible for the on screen graphics which means score, names, count, and pulling up those filler pages that no one cares about.

    Except if we are only going by a single year, Counsell is far outproducing Hardy against RHP. Counsell vs RHP: .255/.369/.345 Hardy vs RHP .248/.307/.333

    JJ's three year (2005-2007) splits: vs LHP .297/.359/.558 vsRHP .251/.308/.383 With Braun, Hart, Hall, and Hardy there is a reason this team kills LHP and can't hit RHP. I was looking at this year's performance since Hall's platooning this year appears to be based off of this year's lack of performance coupled with the perfect Platoon mate. There is not enough to go on for this year alone especially since Hardy isn't hitting any handed pitcher worth anything.

    They cut Vargas to save money. They could have sent him to AAA after he cleared waivers and he would have gone to keep his salary. They didn't. They wanted to save $2.6 million.
