  1. Head on down to Dolphin Stadium, plenty of sections still available!
  2. Gross is hitting better than Mench, why isn't he starting then?
  3. Maybe Hall and Hart were just late coming home from Church?
  4. Really all I hope for right now is a game that I can watch past the 5th inning and still find entertaining. EDIT:Of course there is. Pointing out the fact that someone is pointing out nothingness.
  5. Counsell and Gwynn in the same lineup? And people wonder why Yost is questioned. At least Gwynn isn't leading off.
  6. Sheets has faced the Dodgers and Cubs so far, two teams without a lot of patient hitters. So you'll have a lot a free swingers leading to less Ks (and even fewer walks if possible). And let me say that the offense wasn't that bad today. 3 runs in a Zambrano start isn't great, but its hardly worth crying over. The defense is what has looked really bad.
  7. So is Sheets giving up the home run now Bill's trademark note on him? (sort of like all Brewer pitchers give up big 1st innings?) Maybe this will help: http://www.fangraphs.com/graphs/710_P_season_full_4_20070406.png That is pretty much the definition of average.
  8. Keep in mind, Hall makes that catch, and you are probably only talking 3 runs.
  9. Capellan and Jackson for Cordero? Sold!
  10. Again, because they went with Gwynn the only RH bat is Miller and he won't be used. Which is why the Gwynn decision was weird.
  11. Weeks has looked bad so far this season.
  12. Don't know why Gwynn wasn't used. If he can't hit LH pitching for average, he really has no skill set.
  13. Of course Jeter could lead the league in errors and still win a Gold Glove.
  14. Miller likely won't start until Sunday.
  15. No it should be Gross then Graffy.
  16. Not saying that Hall couldn't have been moved. I'm saying why Counsell wasn't going to be lifted.
  17. Counsell couldn't be lifted because there is only one backup infielder with 3 more innings to play. Wasn't going to happen.
  18. Good thing Gwynn is on the team so Counsell can swing away!
  19. Only Bill could say good defense from these two clubs so far. No errors after all!
  20. Dodgers are a high average team, the kind that tends to do well against pitchers like Suppan (unlike the Brewers Suppan faced who were low average, high power teams. And why our esteemed media can't figure out thats why Suppan was so good at Miller Park is beyond me.)
  21. Nationals are not even the biggest underdog today. That's the Pirates against Houston. Yeah, I don't understand it either.
  22. Well yes, but the idea was that all New York prospects are overhyped guys out of baseball in two years. Most prospects below AAA are unlikely to have much of any impact anyway.
  23. It saves one whole batting position!
