  1. It was a safety squeeze, Wolf just hit it too hard and towards the pitcher for Hairston to score
  2. Do love how Roenicke was still able to 3 lefties in a row to make TLR have an easy job
  3. If it was Cerblanskisksi you might pull Kottaras, but Rhodes? Ehh...
  4. The 3 DPs Fielder has hit into the last 3 days are mind boggling btw. A blooper to CF that in no way should have been a DP, a shot to the left side where teams almost never play him, and then the Theriot diving grab.
  5. How come Theriot is Theriot against everyone else but against the Brewers he's a major league baseball player?
  6. I'd have to go back and look, but I'm thinking that the kind of slide Hairston made is hard to block. I mean, Clutch Yadi was blocking the plate well enough that Hairston felt he had to go around him, I guess. He left the entire back of the plate open. He was really far forward. Almost like he really didn't expect a play since it was stupid to send Hairston on that ball.
  7. that 3-1 pitch was not close, I can't even explain it I mean it wasn't even a 3-0 strike call
  8. No one mentioning all world defensive catcher Molina was terrible at blocking the plate
  9. 1) Holliday and Berkamn are MVP level hitters, Kotsay is slightly above replacement level if that. 2) Holliday is a good fielder.
  10. Again Kotsay is so bad in the field the White Sox made him a DH and let Konerko play 1B. The fact Roenicke thinks he can play RF well is just more proof he can't evaluate players.
  11. Micheal Shur gives this the response it deserves: http://www.grantland.com/...696/the-collapse-red-sox
  12. Of course if you get that 3, well it means you're on a roll and need to play the hot hand!
  13. I give up. The choice was Axford or Rodriguez. You go with the guy you had warming up 1st inning....
  14. It was a 99 mph fastball. Hitters tend to miss those Also Nelson Cruz was significantly worse than Hart this year
  15. The Cardinals bullpen is great and terrible at the same time. TLR being TLR is just as likely to run Salas out there with his stuff as a burnt out Dotel or McClellan.
  16. Given Carpenter was cheating in at 3B would have loved a few snap throws there to make him dive
  17. Thing is, Fielder almost never hits GBs to the left side, hence the huge shifts agaisnt him. He was trying to go the other way.
