  1. Braun the past 14 days: .327/.352/.500Fielder .283/.389/.457Hart: .271/.300/.521Morgan .297/.395/.486Lucroy .143/.219/.393McGehee .176/.282/.353Betancourt .282/.310/.436 No it hasn't been the entire lineup
  2. Another high leverage PA for Yuni late in a game with Counsell and Wilson both able to play SS on the bench
  3. Hulu+ is really a pain to stream. Lots of the content is walled off from watching on the TV and it all still has ads. Amazon's streaming service isn't anywhere close to as easy to use or in depth as Netflix, but the $79 a year includes 2-day shipping on anything you buy from Amazon (and you actually get guest accounts so others can take advantage of the shipping part). So if you buy a lot of stuff there anyway you may give it a whirl. It too has a one month free trial.
  4. Yeah that makes a large difference. Sometimes you can't take them out and even when you can often times laptops are set to basically use all of there PSUs so you won't have enough power to run the new card. I haven't doen it myself but I've heard horror stories. Its usually not worth doing anything with a laptop outside of dealing with memory. But the good news then is you be running it at what, 1366 X 768 ? So you won' be taxing it as hard.
  5. Its hard to say. The higher cards might just be in order to get DX11. You can get a GTX 460 for about $140 if your case and PSU can handle it. Or you can go incremental and get a 9500 1 GB card for about $35.
  6. Being contrary for no reason doesn't make you smart. 5 is not many. Of the 5, 3 are Jeter, Castro, and Asbrudal Cabrera who are great hitters for SS. Another is Pennington who is a good hitting shortstop. The only one comparable to Betancourt is Orlando Cabrera and he at least was decent in the not too distant past. People expected Yuni to be a win below average defensively over a full season and he looks to be just that.
  7. No he has pretty much been exactly the disaster as portrayed here.
  8. You know that terrible August McClendon had which showed he shouldn't come up? 14Ks, 2BB in 16.2 innings of work.
  9. More proof they need to dump Money. For a guy who's calling card is suppose to be his ability to teach the Brewers have developed too many incomplete players under his watch.
  10. You can make the case Yuni is the better offensive player over Counsell or Wilson (if you think Green can play 2B, which I don't think is smart but RR is fine with it, Hairston is a much better bat) but you should be looking to hit for him from the 5th inning on. He just shouldn't get any high leverage PAs with an expanded roster and his terrible defense.
  11. Or that Green was coming off a long rehab process and they didn't want to push him until he was ready
  12. ??? Why is that a question? Braun is bad. Yeah he isn't the absolute worse, a disinterested Carlos Lee is worse. But Braun is a terrible fielder
  13. At this point all Gamel will bring back is say Cedeno from the Pirates if they pick up his option. Maybe.
  14. The difference between Marcum and Estrada is almost assuredly not 9 1/2 wins. EDIT: Because I didn't want to figure out what the difference would be between Estrada and some other random pitcher. So I decided instead to just replace Marcum with a Dave Bush type. A 5.25 ERA in those 176.1 innings results in 40 more runs allowed, or, 4 less wins, on average. We'd still be standing, in theory, 6 games ahead of the Cards. Well yes, except the Brewers on a talent basis aren't 10 wins better than the Cardinals right now. There is almost no difference between the Cardinals and Brewers except luck and perhaps Axford.
  15. Yes, yes if we discount all the young players Melvin traded for he has never traded for young players.
  16. because yuni's a better hitter than Counsell, so he wanted to PH for Counsell? Not saying it was the right move, but that doesn't seem to be too ridiculous of a thought process. good work by frankie to get out of that. ump with an assist. If you are going to let Green play 2B you don't need Wilson, so Wilson can come in to play SS meaning you can hit Kotsay or Kottaras (or even Schafer or Gomez) for Betancourt.
  17. It will almost certainly be de la Cruz and either Wilson or Estrada left off
  18. If you are going to play Green at 2B why would you let Betancourt hit? Roenicke is Yost season 1 needing Vanderwahl telling him to get a pinch hitter ready
  19. For better or worse, the Brewers front office/management has come to a different conclusion. That concluson being reached, CC starting at second tonight was a foregone conclusion. No, not really. He's the 3rd string 2B after Weeks and JHJ.
  20. It would be like moving McGehee to 2B because he's played there. If its an emergency, you do it but not something you plan on. Want to get upset about something? Be upset the Brewers don't have Farris and Lopez and Gamel up here now so that their crappy MI bats don't hit past the 5th inning with JHJ out. Then again Roenicke allows his pitcher to hit down 3 in the 6th...
  21. Green isn't a 2B. This would be like throwing Gamel out there at 3B. It was stupid to do and not worth it. One or two days of Counsell/Wilson at 2B isn't the end of the world with the division wrapped up.
  22. Braun is a terrible fielder. Braun is as bad in LF as Kemp is in center.
