  1. I think you are severely overestimating what you can get with $8-$10m. EDIT: Gindl's MLE for his splits vs RHers".247/.313/.424 Hart: .260/.322/.452
  2. Making Wolf uncomfortable on the mound for 35 ABs for 3 ABs by Lucroy makes no sense to me
  3. Thing is that is almost Morgan vs LHer bad. And that's not taking into account the fact Momo is a much better reliever than Affeldt.
  4. They had their chance when Casilla was in the game. He has a nice ERA but its mostly smoke and mirrors. He walks a bunch and doesn't strike out many.
  5. He burned Carroll. The sequence was Bochy let Affeldt start the 8th to face Morgan. Roenicke lifts Morgan for Carroll. Bochy takes out Affeldt and puts in Romo. Roenicke then lifts Carroll for Kotsay. The offensive advantage of doing so is just slight (if any) that it can in no way out weigh the defensive issue. And it means you let either McGehee or Betancourt hit for themselves.
  6. Carroll was put in for Morgan and then pulled for Kotsay. Yes its stupid because Kotsay isn't Jim Thome.
  7. Gameday had in on the corner for a strikeFox had it 2 inches outside. The point is if its a 50/50 call between a walk and a K that's better odds than putting the ball in play.
  8. Bill its not too close to take, its too close to swing
  9. Got to bring in that "superior" Kotsay bat here so he can play the field while leaving McGehee and Betancourt to face Wilson.
  10. What did I miss? Why was Morgan pinch hit for by Kotsay? Morgan was lifted for Carroll to face Affeldt. Bochy took out Affeldt and then Roenicke removed Carroll.
  11. Assuming Bill meant walks versus singles last I saw they scored at exactly the same rate. There was an idea that maybe walks were the sign of a pitcher about to lose control and so maybe would score more.
  12. Yeah Kottaras should face the lefty reliever and hurt the team!
  13. Bill his stats are right in front of you, he walks a ton of hitters
  14. So will Braun now being thrown out at home trying to score on a double? Let's watch!
  15. So how will they make an out on the bases this inning?
  16. I hope that was on Betancourt and not a called attempt to try to steal a run with McGehee.
