As my previous post shows, go take a look at his month by month splits. He has been doing well for almost 200 straight at bats not 20. No its been pretty much all July. wOBA by month: .279, .203, .299, .336
There's also pressure in that you're 24, on the old side for a prospect, haven't gotten a 40 man spot yet and how well you do will determine if you'll end up making millions over your career or get very little and try to find a college coaching job somewhere.
Pitching in AAA is better than AA. Talent is better in AAA then AA. Yes there are more prospect in AA but that's because they haven't failed at AA yet.
Cain should have been up from the beginning. But he's blocked and until the Royals trade away Cabrera or Francouer, both of whom can be still Royals next year, Cain is stuck.
Just no other left handers who can take that outside pitch to left where the ball is just soaring (look at Greinke's last AB) and they haven't really been coming in on RHers
What does the trade actually do? Neither Hart nor Braun is ready to play 1B and trading away Fielder for Beltran accomplishes very little while the Brewers lose draft picks.
The fact that Axford was comfortable coming with guys on base despite his ability to be wild is what makes him so great. Too bad we'll likely never see that again.
Yep, my guess he would be headed to CF. Though I just don't see the Brewers willing to part with the prospects it will take, and they really shouldn't.
Narveson from pitches 77-100 this year: .277/.358/.398. Its why he's not a top of the line guy, through 50 pitches he's really good. After that he struggles.
