  1. I said this before and I will say it again: Johnson slid outside the box at first base. That is not hustle that is being stupid and is illegal. Even if they missed the tag he would have been out because of that. Shouldn't have happened if he wasn't being stupid.
  2. Reed Johnson needs to have a target on his back the next time the two teams play. First of all you just don't slide into first base anymore! Secondly he was about 3 feet outside the baseline where he slid. You need to stay inside the box. This was a dirty play and he should pay for it with a McClung fastball in the next series!
  3. Ned needed to let him get the 3rd out. He already had two outs in the inning and we were down 19-5. If Turnbow is gonna be a part of this team, he needs to be able to get 3 outs in an inning and what did we really have to lose by letting him finish the inning. Except for the fact that the game may still be going on then.
  4. Watched till the end because there was nothing else on TV. Plus being a Brewer fan for my whole life it is like I am used to this abuse and being letdown by my favorite team.
  5. I would trade Turnbow for a fungo bat at this point!
  6. Phillips kept saying that Turnblow must be hurt. Ya think the Brewers would be burning up a roster spot with him if he were hurt. It would do the team a huge favor if he were hurt and on the DL for crying outloud.
  7. I talked to a rep from the ticket office finally. He said according to my order when he looked it up I was supposed to have seats 19-24, but the tickets printed said 17-22. Looking into he said he could see that seats 23 & 24 showed up as unused. Basically all he could offer me was an apology and said that this should not have happened and he would look into it further. I knew I should have found an usher or gone to the fan assistance center during the game. Probably would have gotten something out of the deal.
  8. He had his printed at home so I believe they were legit. Mine were mailed to me about a week ago. If I didn't have my son with me I probably would have gone to the ticket office but the game had already started and I didn't want to walk around the park with my 5-year old son. I probably should have though because I am sure they would have been so embarrased that they would have done something about it. I just figured since it was virtually a sell out they wouldn't have 6 tickets together anywhere in the park.
  9. I attended the game on Sunday vs the Marlins. I sat in the LF Bleachers and there was another family in two of our seats. I asked the gentleman what seats he had and he said seats 15-18. I told him that was impossible since I had seats 17-22. He showed me his tickets and low and behold he had the tickets in the same section, row, and seats as I had. Now I don't know how a mistake like this could even be possible but the Brewers ticket office made a big blunder. Wondering if this ever happened to anyone else? I left a message with the ticket office yesterday and am waiting for a callback. Expecting something to come out of this since we had to squeeze 6 people into four seats and I basically paid for two tickets that I couldn't use.
  10. I hate Wes Helms! The last two games I have attended ended with Wes Helms getting the winning hit! Did he ever have a game winning hit in the 3 years he played in Milwaukee?
  11. LF Bleachers are terrible! You cannot see anything hit to left field or left center. I thought Wes Helms hit a routine fly ball the other day and it was a home run.
  12. When Yost first became the manager of the Brewers I admit I liked the move very much. The first few years he did a good job to get them back to respectability. But as in all professional sports, when your team is not playing up to expectations who takes the fall? It is always the manager. I honestly think Yost is overthinking every single thing he does and is second-guessing himself constantly. That is not a good example to send to our young players. They need someone who is a more decisive leader and who is more confident in himself to lead this club. They need a good leader since they are young and I don't believe that Ned is that guy anymore.
  13. This is what is being reported by the Journal Sentinel. Just put in him on the DL retro to last weekend so we can open up another spot for a bench player so we can have more than 2 PH in the game. I bet when Cameron comes back Sheets ends up on the DL. Wouldn't that have been a waste for this last week of having 14 pitchers for no reason.
  14. On one hand this loss is not pinned on Yost simply because you have to score at least one run to win a major league baseball game and we didn't do that. It is hard to fault him to much when the offense has scored a whopping 1 run in the last 19 innings. However, Yost does do at least one completely stupid thing each game that makes my blood pressure rise as well and it is getting old. Anyone knows in a situation with the bases loaded and one out with a slower than molases runner at the plate you play the corners in and SS & 2nd back at dp depth. Had they been doing this Hardy had plenty of time to get in front of that ball as opposed to backhanding it, throwing it to weeks and weeks could have honestly run the ball over to 1st himself to get helms out since he is that slow!
  15. The Crew should have been playing in at the corners and at double play depth at SS & 2nd. Had they been doing that with Helms running JJ could have tossed to 2nd and Weeks could have run from 2nd to 1st and beaten Helms there if he didn't want to risk botching another easy double play. 6-4-3 double play would have ended the inning! The offense has been just pathetic though. I believe they had the leadoff hitter on base 8 out of 10 innings last night. The day before they had 1st and 3rd with nobody out in the 7th inning. How in the world do you not score runs in those situations. I can understand that if you are the Pittsburgh Pirates, but come on the Brewers are supposed to have one of the best lineups in baseball! Where is it?!?!?!
  16. That was the headline in the Journal Sentinel. Maybe I am wrong but if the offense scored even 1 run in 9 innings we win right. Headline should have been "Offense is Non-Existent for 2nd Straight Day"!
  17. You can't get that excited over 3 good starts from Eveland. The guy has extreme control problems and walks far too many hitters to be effective. I would still take Zack Jack over Eveland any day.
  18. I think turnbow was already in the change of scenery category since last season.
  19. Anyone can hit a 90 mph fastball thrown right down mainstreet with no movement on it at all! Why in the hell would you put him in that position Yost!
  20. Did anyone honestly think that Turnbow could pitch a scoreless ninth? A Little Leaguer has more confidence than him right now. He probably just pitched his last game in Milwaukee. No way he will want to pitch here again after giving up the winning run in another game.
  21. This game did kind of make me feel sick the rest of the day. A game with a lead that we should have won. Too many of those last year and this kind of had the feel of those blown games last year. I don't think we can do this too many times this year since unfortunately the Chubs are playing some good baseball early on this year and in a close race we can't afford to lose many games like this.
  22. Braun may have been very cocky last year but I think he may be crashing down to Earth hard this year.
  23. Torres should have started the inning in the first place. Having said that the pitch that Encarnocion hit out was not a bad pitch. How often is a guy gonna hit a change up on the outside corner out in left field? The Bako homer was just a fluke. It wasn't a good pitch but how many homers does Bako have in his career like 5?
  24. Weeks will be the 2B now and for a long time. Like someone said last week, the Indians gave up on Brandon Phillips at a similar stage of his career. I bet they wish they could have a mulligan on that one.
  25. How many lefties actually throw over 92 mph? Not many.
