  1. Rumors are flying that Sprint will be offering iPhones fairly soon.
  2. I just have never cared for some of Apple's more draconian policies. The first Macintosh commercial would certainly be viewed as ironic by those who view Apple's policies as "iFascism." At the time, IBM was the Big Brother that the commercial was referring to.
  3. Promoting it at this time would be over the top, but a general press release saying that things are set up and ready to go seems fine.
  4. Closed in favor of this topic: Taylor Green called up; Dillard optioned to AAA
  5. Actually, according to FS-WI, Tyler Green was being called up. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  6. Oops, you're right. Fair territory is south and east. South Milwaukee works. I like Kenosha better. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  7. young guns, the final "t" in Betancourt is silent. This tidbit didn't come to light until the Los Angeles series when one of the Dodgers' Spanish-speaking broadcasters asked Yuni for clarification on the pronunciation. During last Saturday's game, Matt Vasgersian referred to Yuni as the ultimate player to be named later. ilovebeer, South Milwaukee would be in foul territory, too. River Hills would work.
  8. I had the WGN broadcast on for a while earlier in the game. Bob Brenly said something about a player wanting to hit it "all the way to Waukesha." That would be a foul ball.
  9. Adding "google-analytics" (no quotes) to her Adblock Plus filters will probably work. If it doesn't, you could try "google-analytics.com" (no quotes). Writing Adblock Plus filters
  10. Here's an example of Jobs' attention to detail. Vic Gundotra, a guru at Google, describes a 2008 Sunday phone conversation. http://cdn.macrumors.com/article-new/2011/08/googleiconh.png
  11. This topic is being discussed in the Major League Forum: 2011 September callups?
  12. Steve Jobs steps down from Apple From the press release:
  13. Anyone know if this game will be available to the Fox Valley? Wouldn't the game be on FS-WI on cable systems outside of the Milwaukee market? On DirecTV, the game is on 680, 680-1, 722, and 722-1. No HD on the "-1" channels, but depending on your receiver settings, you might prefer using those. If you're able to receive Channel 58 over the air, the game should be on 58-2.
  14. Cappy's 18-win season made him the only Brewer pitcher to win more than 14 games since Eldred's 16-win season.
  15. I'm sorry to hear about Oreo. I went through this a few years ago. It's a comfort to know that there's no more suffering.
  16. Would be nice if they could show games from the '80s and '90s. Maybe they don't have the rights to some of those? When the classic games first started, a number of older games were shown. Among them were the Nieves no-hitter and the 31-hit game vs. the Jays. There should be in-game threads for some of the classics in the Archived In-Game Threads forum. For what it's worth, two or three of these games actually made it to the satellite services. That stopped as abruptly as it started, though.
  17. Welcome, KS536. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Our members have been pretty perplexed and annoyed that FS-WI isn't a full-time channel on the satellite services. The topic comes up quite frequently. We do know that FS-WI says that they want to be full time, meaning that at least the decision isn't mutual.
  18. To continue to rag on Craig, Scott and Jerry Hairston's dad wasn't Sam; it was Jerry. Sam was their grandfather.
  19. Five innings (four and a half if the home team is leading) counts as a full game. What changed a couple of years ago was tie games. Those are suspended instead of being replayed from the beginning. A game between the Brewers and Marlins was the first time that rule was kicked in.
  20. It still drives me nuts that Coshun can't pronounce Lucroy. Earlier, he mispronounced LaGuardia.
  21. Shutting off a lot of the logging that goes on in the background is supposed to speed these things up. How to improve the performance of your new HP TouchPad
  22. Here's one analyst's view of this fiasco. HP's TouchPad fire sale: The fallout
  23. I feel best when Lucroy pinch hits. I'd say that in today's ninth inning, we saw pretty much equal opportunity cluchness among the players.
  24. You can get mass quantities of gigabytes of storage on a self-powered portable hard drive for less than the cost of the TouchPad. Maybe you want to take it back and buy a hard drive.
  25. Moved to the in-game thread: http://brewersfandemonium...rs-win-6-1-#reply-758164
