  1. This. This is Wayyyyyyyyy too early for Hader to be up...don't use him when you are behind Craig! That's what the Dodgers want you to do.
  2. It's gotta be nerves, and you had to fear this was coming at some point...the Brewer starters have just been too good in this series.
  3. The Brewer hitters NEED to be patient in the 1st inning with Buehler...I have a feeling at the outset, the moment may be too big for the kid...take the walks, and cash in.
  4. This...I have debating this internally since last night...do i want a comfortable, game in hand from early on type game, or do I want a drama filled walk off in the bottom of the 9th?? Obviously, the "on cruise control" option would be much better for nerves etc, but it also takes a lot of the "rush" and drama out of it like a walk off would..Obviously the down side to a close game late is they may end up NOT winning, but a 4-5 run lead early will feel like it's over(though obviously anything can happen) before it even starts and thought they will be going to the WS and that in itself is a rush, there is something to be said for getting there in a dramatic fashion. I think if someone could guarantee me a win in extra innings, or a walk off in the bottom of the 9th, I'd much rather have it that way just for the incredible rush of it. Just win the game.
  5. There is ZERO reason to waste Hader tonight...NONE. It's a 4 run lead, if you can't trust your other guys in a game that would take a grand slam just to tie it, then you can't have that much faith in your bull pen.
  6. Please CC avoid the temptation of using Hader...you can get through this with the other guys..it's not like it's a 1 run lead.
  7. Kershaw hasn't been that dominant against the Brewers though. Were you not watching Wednesday?? If that wasn't dominant..
  8. What worries me about tomorrow is Roberts has Kershaw in his back pocket if he needs him for an inning or two.
  9. Now Counsell IBB's a guy with two outs and a runner on 3rd?? Down 4 but not in a tie game last night?? Hmmm
  10. Stupid STUPID Counsell NOT walking Bellinger and Grandal last night has put them in this position. Granted, they may have lost anyway last night, but that was such an obvious decision, and for whatever reason when all the analytics(which is what they use continually to make decisions) tell you the IBB(s) are the right call, he deviates from that...Then today, doesn't walk Barnes to get to Kershaw and force them to take him out or try to tie the game win-win. All the "magic" he has performed thus far, sure wore off the last two games.
  11. I just have NO idea what Aguilar sees with those pitches that tells him to swing...they aren't even close...he does that more than anyone.
  12. SOMEONE needs to be a HERO right now for the Crew...?? Braun??
  13. Counsell is an IDIOT!! Two days in a row, it's the obvious play to walk someone(s) to get to the pitcher and he doesn't do it!! His idiotic decisions, are going to cost them this series.
  14. If he gets Kiki, and doesn't walk Barnes to get to Kershaw I'm going to flip!
  15. I think he is 0-13 with runners on, and has left 18 runners left on. If anyone wants to fact check that, please feel free. 0-7 with 4K's with RISP this postseason as well.
  16. I mean, what are Brewer hitters infatuation with swinging at balls in the dirt?? So many of them do it...it's not even like the pitches they swing at, have some crazy break to them that that is where they end up...they start down and stay down and yet...they swing.
  17. Nailed it. Except Roberts saw right through it, and started his lefty mashers anyway...I mean no matter how long Miley went, Roberts knew CC had no choice but to bring in a righty afterwards...so he started his lefties, was willing ti live with the results of the 1-2 AB's they were going to have against Miley, and then still has them in the game when CC went to a righty. Actually brilliant from Roberts, and I'm surprised he waited this long in the series to do it.
  18. I mean I think Roberts called "checkmate" on CC...He started the leftys today because he KNEW no matter how long Miley went(and most likely at most 5 innings), he HAD to counter with a righty next(and most likely the rest of the game), so they face Miley for one AB, maybe two, and now when the righties come in, he still has them in the game and, he saves his bench guys rather than having to do all the Double switching/PH'ng he had been doing.
  19. I think the bigger issue the Brewers will have...whether they win today or not, is will Roberts now move Buehler up to game 6 instead?? I think if the Dodgers win today, he probably sticks with him in game 7(though certainly could use him in 6 to finish it off), but...if they lose and face Elimination on Friday...does he really want to go down knowing he had the chance to fire that bullet one more time and didn't?? I can't see how WB doesn't pitch game 6 instead of game 7 if the Dodgers are on the brink of elimination.
  20. How long before we see Roberts call CC's bluff?? I'm surprised he hasn't done this yet actually...If I were him, I would start my "righty" LU regardless if it's the lefty Miley on the hill. Here's why..If I'm DR, I now know that whoever the initial "outgetter" is, isn't going to go long(probably 5 innings max). So if I start the guys that I normally platoon with(Puig, Bellinger, Muncy)...sure they face the lefty for one or two AB's, but where I have the big advantage now is when CC brings in righties out of his BP...Now I already have my "guys" in there, in Muncy, Bellinger, Puig, and I'm not using up my bench so quickly..I'd still have Freese, Kemp etc available until the end of the game. Especially today when I know CC likely can't use Hader to neutralize those lefties..Besides, all it would take for these lefties that start the game is to run into one against Miley. I'm not sure why Roberts hasn't done this yet?? I hate to say it, but it really does take away any advantage CC had before, especially with Hader lurking...without him today, I call "checkmate" on CC.
