  1. You just knew there was no way the Brewers would sweep...the baseball gods were never going to allow it
  2. CC will say Hader was unavailable because he pitched Wednesday and Thursday in Cincy. Not saying he shouldn't have been available, but that's what CC's answer will be if he's asked.
  3. Jon Heyman ‏Verified account @JonHeyman now9 seconds ago Granderson is traded to brewers for class a prospect
  4. LOL It just amazes me how so many here love EVERY single one of the Brewers prospects...it's ridiculous people...absolutely ridiculous...you take major league talent EVERY day over unproven prospects. Yes, Gio has struggled, but so was Cole Hamels, how is that working?? What caliber of Pitcher did you want the Brewers to get for those two players this time of year?? Or would you rather watch everyone's darling Freddy Peralta keep getting tattooed in the middle of a playoff chase??
  5. Two minor leaguers for one month of a total washed pitcher. Garbage. You probably thought the same thing when the Cubs acquired Cole Hamels...How's that worked out for them??
  6. Any division chances the Brewers have, may ironically enough come down to this next Cubs series against the Mets..they face Thor and DeGrom..if the Crew can gain two games right there..we've got a race. If though, the Cubs somehow continue to have a horseshoe up their asses and David Bote walks off a 1-0 win for the Cubs only hit(this would be the most Cubs thing ever) off Degrom..then they have no shot.
  7. I think they can, but then they lose the right to revoke the waivers and have no leverage in trade discussions at all. Correct. If he's placed on waivers tomorrow and the Brewers claim him, he's a Brewer. Silent agreement...go beat the Cubs today, we'll take him tomorrow
  8. Question...once he has been pulled back like this, can he be put on waivers again?? Maybe the Brewers wanted him to make this start against the Cubs, and will acquire him next week.
  9. Saw a very random tweet earlier today about Moustakas and that he played SS in HS when he set the national HR record...so maybe Shaw-3B, Mous-SS Schoop-2B
  10. Yup, Braves, Pirates, Dodgers, Cubs all get better today...Brew Crew?? *Crickets*
  11. So DS is gonna "wuss" out isn't he?? Yup...It appears so.
  12. Sure, but it won’t happen. The price will be crazy...probably Machado level or even more expensive, we don’t really have a spot, and he hasn’t been very good this year. My interest level is a complete 0% to be honest. He's Bryce Harper..I bet if it were solely up to Mark A..he'd make sure the deal got done. He couldn't buy the kind of publicity the Brewers would get from acquiring Harper..not to mention every home game the rest of the year would be a sell out.
  13. Stearns has to at least make the call, doesn't he? How can you not?
  14. Sure, Woodruff is crap, but the Cubs are going to be able to put a package together for him? For one..the Cubs always seem to get guys for less than what other teams would..for another..if they were willing to move guys like Happ and/or Schwarber + they could probably cobble something together
  15. Watch the Cubs get him and the Brewers playoff hopes die with it
  16. Woodruff , Ray, lottery ticket. But to be honest that may be too much as this year he has not been good. He definitely has a hot streak in him at some point though. The Nats would hang up the phone immediately after you said Woodruff..they'd be insulted.
  17. A few things I think... a lot of people here are WAY too in love with so many of the Brewers prospects...when all they are is just that, prospects...you use them to acquire major league talent any chance you can get. 2. Rentals or not, when the Brewers make trades, it's fun as hell, and their commitment to winning is sure as hell better then it used to be when we had nothing to get excited about after May. 3. Too many people care way to much about the potential defensive impact this could have..It's all about the bats...always has been, always will be..they needed another bat, and they got one. 4. A lot of people worship the ground DS walks on...now when he makes a trade they don't particularly like, they question what he's doing 5. he's not done yet
  18. Hmmm Phillips a healthy scratch tonight...
  19. Jon Morosi‏Verified account @jonmorosi · 21m21 minutes ago Sources: #Brewers, #Mets have discussed Zack Wheeler trade. No deal is close. @MLB @MLBNetwork
  20. Perhaps he and another GM haven't come to an agreement on the details of a trade. That's my point then add a sweetener or two to push it across the finish line
  21. Not sure what the hell DS is doing?? I realize it takes two to tango, but he absolutely needs to get a deal done...the longer you have a player, the more impact he can potentially have the rest of the year, that COULD mean the difference between a win or two down the stretch..What is the delay?? They have players they NEED to trade(because of the 40 man roster crunch), so let's get moving DS.
  22. Why so they can basically "tank" the rest of the season in the middle of a playoff chase??
