And that is all we need. Get one of them and bring the series back to Milwaukee. We've been pretty good on the road this year. It ain't over yet... No....unfortunately 1 in LA will NOT be enough...It HAS to be 2, so you get two chances at home to win 1 game...if you only win 1 in LA then you are forced to win both at home, that's a tall task. That's why losing this game was SO huge and why i said the series is over

What is everyone's infatuation with wanting Peralta to pitch this series?? I want ZERO to do with him out there..NONE. He'd be all over the place, and when he wasn't, they would tattoo him.

Where the hell is the Brewers 25 man?? Maybe 10am isn't the time they had to have it released. Seems that if it was, they'd have long since released it by now. -
I wonder if this angered Stearns or if it ever angers others that are denied permission from their club to interview for other positions??? I have always wondered about that sort of thing.

Are you saying to pull Arcia? Yes...He's a TERRIBLE hitter in big spots like that...Perez would be fine at SS for a few innings, but I send Grandy up there every time

What did I say?? Counsell has way to much faith in Orlando in big spots..I have NONE, and you see why.

Totally agree. What will we get, 3 innings from Chacin, 4 if we are REALLY lucky and things are going right? I just don't trust a guy going on short rest with no history of ever doing so previously. If the plan is to only get him through the line-up one time, then I get it, but will our bullpen be able to do it two days in a row. Chacin for 3, Guerra for 2 or 3? I also do not trust Jeffress to bounce back today, so I hope we don't need him. Looking for Brewers blow out today! Kyle Freeland against the Cubs in the Wild card game says hello

+1000...I don't see the need for Broxton at all...At least not with Santana...one or the other, but not both. Cedeno not being on it absolutely floored me. I assumed he was a lock.

#1 is the key...it plays to the strength of the team...IF you are using the right guys..Now, realistically & hypothetically speaking, if it was doable and you wanted a bullpen day you would use NO ONE other than Soria, Knebel, Jeffress, Hader...THAT's the TRUE strength of the team...those 4. At some point you HAVE to use lessor bullpen arms than those 4, and the #'s would say it is MORE likely to blow up in your face at some point, then not. I'm not a Wade Miley truther by any stretch, but...he deserves a start..the guy has done NOTHING to not deserve one. 3 or less earned runs in every single start this year?? I figured for sure, he'd start game 1(it's his turn in the rotation), Gio game 2, Chacin game 3. Bullpen when necessary. I think(but hope not) this is Counsell getting too cute with things. There is no tomorrow now, this is the playoffs, it's win or go home. I said it before and I will say it again, it's like Counsell is managing this like he EXPECTS to lose a game in this series...why not try to end it in 3??

I don't know...I know many here have this weird love affair with Freddy..I'm not sure why. I very easily could have done without him on the playoff roster. To be honest, I want him nowhere near a big situation in this series. His control issues WILL rear their ugly head at some point again I'm afraid. I would MUCH rather turn it over to Gio or Miley in a key situation, because they have been there done that. Freddy strikes me as the kind of kid who will get easily rattled by the bright lights and big stage. You can't have that in the playoffs. I hope it works out, and I hope CC ONLY uses him in low leverage situations..like up 3-4 runs, or if they are getting blown out, he can have mop up duty. -
I don't like this at all..I hope Counsell knows what he's doing here..this whole "bullpen" thing could totally blow up in his face..Why burn through arms the very first game?? It's likely you will need them game 2 as well. What if it's 1-0 through 5 and you then turn it over to Knebel, Soria, Hader, Jeffress?? That's fine if you win the game, but then how many of those guys can come back for game 2?? Hader for sure can't. Just throw Miley..He hasn't allowed more than 3 ER in a start this season..how can you NOT have confidence in him?? Seems to me that with this "strategy" neither Gio nor Miley will get a start in this series now. This seems to me like CC is managing this almost expecting this series to go 5. Now this COULD work out great if the Crew scores a bunch of runs early(and maybe that's what he is banking on), but that is a very risky proposition if you ask me.
