  1. absolutely awesome thing for Gagne to do. Should really help increase the crowd and excitement level for tonight. I can't wait!!!
  2. Replied, tix are gone unless something falls through with chuckie.. Thanks
  3. I had to trade shifts at work so I could have next Saturday off if we make the playoffs. Therefore I have to work this Saturday and can't make it to the Cubs game. I would prefer to sell them here first before going to craigslist. 4 aisle seats in sec 229 row 15. Marquee value is $35 each for a total of $140. I also have a parking pass that I would throw in for a total asking price of $150. Could meet up anytime Thursday or Friday during the day or at each game those nights.
  4. After last night's loss, I tend to agree with lcbj. Morale in the Met's clubhouse has to be lower than low right now.
  5. Soooo excited for this start, yet still very nervous about Yo being at full strength or not. I will put my faith in Brewers staff and assume he is ready to go. Regardless, I can't wait to be there to be part of the standing ovation that he should get as he walks out to the mound.
  6. Back to the Magic numbers!!! http://images.yuku.com/image/pjpeg/a05157907bff631535a8d74f00346970ffed68c.pjpg
  7. hurricane--I know this is asking a lot, but could you please root for the Mets tomorrow, and then switch your allegiance to the Cubs for the final 3 games.
  8. No but it almost woke up the Cardinals!! Oh wait, they are not in it anymore, Lucky ARam--Pujols was almost coming for you
  9. and my man crush for CC grows even bigger!!!!
  10. Almost exactly 3 years younger than Craig Counsell right now. If Blake would sign a similar 2-3yr contract with us this year like Counsell did in 06, I would be very happy. I know he would cost us a lot more than the 2.8 million per year plus an option year that Craig did but it's not like it would be unprecedented by the Brewers to make a similar deal. I don't think that it will happen, but out of the options that clancy started this thread with, it's the one that I would most like to see happen.
  11. I'm not trying to bust anyone down. It just seems really bush league to post"It's Official Yo is starting on Thursday" when in fact it is not official at all. Even if there is a good lead on the story, it's not official until the Brewers say it is official. Then when asked about the quote the poster only replies with fake links and jokes. Doesn't show a lot of journalistic integrity in my eyes.
  12. I would love to see Casey Blake on a 3 year contract. He could be penciled in to start for at least 2009 and be at worst a great bench option for the next 2 seasons. On the other hand, I don't think we could get him in on a 3 year deal that would be financially responsible. It never hurts to dream.
  13. pm sent
  14. Pudster--where is it official from? I don't see it on Brewers.com and am just wondering if it's actually official or just seems to be.
  15. Never got my hands on a BOC either, but I have gotten some pretty good deals on stuff though. This woot off has been pretty decent. A few things that I wanted/needed at a very good price. Can't ask for much more than that.
  16. Oh, Woogie--it's so great to have you back!!!! No offense, WiBadgers
  17. While I like the idea of trading one or the other of Prince or JJ, preferably Prince, for Cain, I really hope Gammons was way off base when he mentioned both guys going for Cain. Just way to much to give up for a #2/3 pitcher. Plus how much do we know about Cain's health? I know he has pitched over 190 innings the last 3 years, but from everything that I've read about Bochy, he doesn't treat pitchers very well. Lincecum and Cain are ranked first and fifth in PAP points per Baseball Prospectus. Sidenote---I really can't believe how Bochy has been running Lincecum out the past month or so. Trying to win the Cy Young is one thing but his pitch counts lately have been ridiculos!!!
  18. Last time Woogie started an IGT--6/30 Brewers record the next 6 games after--4-2 Will that get it done during the next 6 games? I could certainly see the Mets going 3-3 forcing a playoff/playin game.
  19. Marquis with 5 rbi's. 8-2 Cubs
  20. After cheering for the Cubs for the begining of the week I really feel the need to go overboard cheering for the Brewers the last series just to make myself feel better. I understand that it's in the best interest of the Brewers for the Cubs to beat the Mets, but it's just soooo hard to root for them to win anytime.
  21. for what it's worth, grape three olives and cranberry with a few jagerbombs mixed in.
  22. So, I worked until 10 tonight, I listened to 1250 about the game and heard we lost, got home to check my email and bam--your playoff tickets shipped out today!!!! Don't just stick the knife in, make sure that you twist it around at least 180 degrees Brewers. Thanks a lot. I'm usually as positive and optomistic as anybody, but it was really a cruel twist to get that email today. One more year of looking at playoff tickets for two weeks and having to send them back. Please go on a winning streak and let me use the tickets, please!!!!!
  23. Found another fun one that is a good waste of time. Hedgehog Launch Personal best is sending the hedgehog into space in 7 days.
  24. thank god for that. mcclung looked excellent today! possibly the closer of the future
  25. I will be at least 4 of the last 6 home games, unless someone wants to sell some tickets for the first two games at a cheap price, and will cheer just as hard for the Brewers to win as I have all year. We shouldn't be eliminated from the playoffs by then, which means we should still have a shot to do something really special. Even if we are officially out for the year, I will cheer. I was only 3 back in '82, and this year has really been fun for the most part. If we make the playoffs--even better, but there is really no reason to boo 'your team', ever. At the lowest possible point, this team has won more games than I ever remember them winning in a season, so I will cheer loudly for that.
