  1. mine finally just came on with charter. I'm still on hold with them to ask for a credit due to not having service edit---after a good bit of complaining about losing service for the second time in my first two months of having Charter service I couldn't talk them into a credit. However they are sending out a technician to check the wiring in my apartment and are suppose to be giving me 3 months of free DVR service for our extra tv for the trouble. Can't complain about that, if I end up getting charged for the extra DVR service--which wouldn't surprise me--however I will not be happy at all
  2. Anyone watching on Charter not getting any of the pregame show? Not working in HD or basic channel for me in Point. Other channels seem fine, just not FSN. edit--apparently MLB network isn't working either.
  3. I fall in the same boat as others on here. I love the show and think it is hilarious, but my fiance absolutely hates it. Makes me think that it doesn't have the appeal it needs to be picked up.
  4. about 1 day left onmy ebay auction for the print. Currently at $24.99 with free shipping if anyone is interested
  5. add me to the list please bar0721 AT gmail
  6. After seeing what the last listing sold for on Ebay, I've decided to list my poster. Here's the link. If anyone is interested or has further questions, don't hesitate to ask. And here's a photo for those of you who haven't seen it yet. http://images.yuku.com/image/jpeg/31b25c197b708f046ab139ea552dd0f422a29c8.jpg
  7. I actually wasn't that impressed with the print. I was excited to get a limited edition print, thinking that it would be some sort of artist's rendition of Miller Park or something like that. Personally I just don't like panoramic photos and I don't have anywhere to display it if I get it framed. I would be willing to trade it for something else if anyone is interested. I also have the framing coupon that came with it for 30% off as well.
  8. I didn't get the option that I wanted so I am going to just get the generic plates. For anyone who wants to use it, I highly recommend using the email address posted to check availability--they responded in about 12 hours.
  9. After a long debate, I decided that there is only one option that I want on personalized plates. I'm hoping to get my initials, which conveniently are BAR, on the navy current logo plates. I sent an email to the address that was posted earlier in the thread and am really wishing that it's an available option. Plus after a year or two, I can take the plates off of my car and they would make an excellent piece to add to my eventual at home bar space. Has anybody used the email that can give me an idea of how long it took to get a response? My current plates expire at the end of the month.
  10. There is a refurbed, which most are on woot, roomba on tonight that has some really good reviews if you are still looking DHonks. I'm thinking for the $140 I might pick one up to keep up with the cat hair in our apartment.
  11. I listened to Sheets pitch yesterday, and the A's announcers talked a lot about the 209 promo. It's Braden's hometown area code and seats in that section where half off today and you got a free auto'd t-shirt from Braden or something. The way they talked it up yesterday, it sounds like it's very similar to the bucket head brigade sections from a few years ago at Miller Park (which seemed to have an unhealthy love for Lyle OOOOOOOOOOOverbay)
  12. Yeah, the apartment complex has DISH installed and I assume some kind of agreement with them. I'm going to look into the possibility of getting DirectTV, but am leaning towards Charter just to have everything I want in one bill.
  13. We are moving to an apartment in Plover and have the option of either DISH Network or Charter for TV service. Personally I would prefer DirectTV, but since it's not an option I would like to hear some opinions one which of the two choices may be best/most reasonable. We would have 3 TV's--1 HD, decent internet desired--at least 6Mbs, and no need for phone service. At least one DVR is a must and we would prefer to have 2. HBO and Showtime are important along with MLB Network and FSN being a must. I'm considering DISH for the TV service and going with something else for internet. Just looking for personal experiences with either service and if comfortable, what anyone who has similar services pays per month for them. Thanks BF
  14. 15 days after basically being shoved out the door in my old job, I got a great offer for a new gig today that is so much better in so many ways. Excellent relocation package (to where we wanted to move anyway), very comparable salary, and a huge swing from crazy retail hours to just one night a week and one full weekend a month!!! On top of that, we leave tomorrow morning for 5 days on the beach in Florida to go to a wedding. It was such great timing to get the offer today before leaving, it makes the trip a lot more relaxing. Plus now I don't have to worry about fighting an unemployment case, I can just enjoy a few weeks off and move on.
  15. Probably has something to do with Gomez going 1-15 with no walks since opening day and Hart scorching the ball last night. Not sure who else you would put in the 2 hole. Escobar hits far too many ground balls and doesn't walk enough to warrant going there. I'm guessing that it has more to do with Gomez fouling back to back pitches off of his lower left leg on Saturday. Being a player whose main advantages are based on speed, having a bum wheel really hampers his ability to impact the game.
  16. I'll have an extra Bernie Brewer one from this Sunday's game if you want to trade for that, I'd be interested.
  17. jrod-was that near the portapotties by the back of the Uecker/Mets general parking lot? We saw a guy laid out on the ground with someone checking his pulse on our way out after the game and were curious as to what happened.
  18. Something I haven't seen posted yet that we noticed today was the abscence of the "C-it-Go" pump out in center.
  19. Any posters up in the central Wisconsin area that would have some suggestions for decent ceremony sites in the Wausua/Point area? Reception is planned at the Grand Lodge, but we haven't decided on a ceremony site yet. Very low key, non-religious ceremony planned. Actually, if things go as planned, another BF.net member is performing the service for us. We've looked into a few places, both indoors and outdoors, but haven't found a place we are in love with yet.
  20. I have my HDMI out from the cable hooked to the TV (monitor in your case) and the sound out through seperate audio cables to my dvd player/sorround sound and it works just fine. My cable box is from time warner, but I've used the same set up when I had Charter as well. You should be able to make your whole system work, it just involves some extra cables and wiring mess is all.
  21. can you guys tell me what day that original email was sent out?
  22. Technically it wasn't because I posted my resume online or was looking for jobs it was because my commitment to the success of my current store was drawn into question. Basically they wanted me gone (which is the same thing I wanted, just in a different time frame), so they were going to find some way to push me out the door. Like dadofandrew said, retail is a lot of politics and basically a large company can get rid of almost anyone at anytime if they try hard enough. That's why most policies are phrased as "violations will result in action up to and including termination" It's a legal way to cover their butts when they want to get rid of someone. edited--spelling error
  23. I just ordered 2 general parking passes from my ticket rep last week, so there may still be some left. Your best bet is to either call the ticket office, or stop by there if possible and pick up a pass ahead of time.
  24. So I've been a retail store manager for a pretty big mall based clothing company for the last 2 years, I recently got engaged in Feb and my fiance and I have been talking about moving back closer to our parents in the Marshfield/Stevens Point area. I've applied for a few jobs, and posted my resume online to kind of test the waters for finding a job in that area. Somehow someone at my company found out that I've been looking for jobs, so I was confronted by my district and regional managers today about my "committment" to my current store and company. I was told there were 2 documents on my desk to fill out--one was a resignation letter, the other was documentation to start the termination process--it was up to me which one I wanted to sign. I chose the resignation letter, just to leave on my own terms and now I have until this Saturday to let my staff all know that I'm leaving and why cause I was informed that my last day would be the 3rd. I can't really tell if I'm extremely upset about the whole ordeal or just happy to be leaving a company that I didn't plan on working for that much longer. All I know is that I now have a lot more free time to look for something new in the central WI area I guess. I don't know if I can actually file for unemployment since I technically resigned, or what the deal really is with all that either.
  25. The best thing I got in the 2 BOC's that I got my hands on was a broken digital picture frame that had a sticker on it from Walmart.com. I was going to try and exchange it for a working one at the local store and they told me since it was an online product only the would just give me a refund for the current selling price of $125. Oh and for some reason, the just gave me cash and not even a gift card.
