  1. I would much rather see Aoki out there than Gamel and keep Hart at first. Tough luck for Gamel but he hasn't shown much in his limited time and if he is a Brewer he will have to produce as a pinch hitter or produce when somebody gets hurt.
  2. It could be a one game playoff against the Yankees as well.
  3. If they dominated the Astros you could expect decline but they were only 9-8 against them so that should have minimal impact.
  4. I wish it was last week saturday morning again when they were only 1.5 games back. Only 2-5 since then.
  5. It actually happened with Detroit in the 30's as well but that time Mickey Cochrane of the Tigers won it over Lou Gehrig when Gehrig had the triple crown, which may very well be the worst decision in MVP history.
  6. I hope future writers are critical of the current voters and how silly it was to pick Posey over Braun for MVP.
  7. Well I wasn't planning on going anymore after yesterday but I got two tickets for my son and I for $2 so I'm optimistic that they will still have a chance Sunday.
  8. Listening to the post game and interesting that Maldonado has caught 7/9 blown saves by Axford. I don't know if it means anything but maybe he works better with Lucroy kind of like how Wolf works better without Lucroy.
  9. Well you said they are now done because of the Peralta injury which is kind of silly because he only had one more start this year. It will be more difficult to win Tuesday but the initial post was an overreaction.
  10. They were 2.5 back with seven to play but won the wild card outright so they can certainly tie it being 3.5 out with seven to play. 7-0 the rest of the way.
  11. 8-0 the rest of the way.
  12. They are definitely getting to Zimmerman today, just wish they had more than one run.
  13. Yes, it could happen. If the Cardinals/Dodgers/Brewers tied the Brewers would have the option of the two home games as mentioned or one road game at Cardinals/Dodgers.
  14. It's an okay move, give Roenicke a little more flexibility with pinch hitting Lucroy or Maldonado and hopefully that is it.

  16. I would agree that Gallardo has yet to have a breakout type year that Sheets had in 2004 but Gallardo overall is the better pitcher than Sheets. Gallardo has been pretty much the same consistent pitcher his entire career.
  17. I wouldn't call him young anymore since he is 29 but probably Estrada. Mainly because I thought he got a raw deal with the Brewers in 2010 when they called him up and overworked him and when he got injured there were people saying that he was faking it. He came into spring training with low expectations and had a decent year in 2011 going between the bullpen and starting. In 2012 they kind of did the same thing with him but never probably considered him a long term answer. Hopefully they now consider him a good option for the next couple of years as a starter because he is still under team control for three more years. Besides Gallardo I am most confident in him right now than any Brewers pitcher.
  18. You might have heard Tom Haudricort on the radio saying Peralta was not eligible but he corrected himself on Twitter. As stated already in this thread there are three spots available for anybody in the organization at 8/31 because of Gonzalez/Gamel/Narveson being on the DL.
  19. Saw today that Braun's Hall of Fame Monitor at Baseball Reference was over 100 and a likely HOFer is 100 or greater. Not saying he would be in the hall if he retired today but amazing that he is already at this point and has a long career ahead of him.
  20. Finally there is a way for me to watch every single sausage race.
  21. No the tiebreaker game is a seperate game. Interesting as well on my ticket account there is no option to buy the 1 game a strip options However in the rules it said as a partial season ticket hold I will be offered that option. Maybe I cant pay for that option online, which again is fustrating as I want till wait till the 24th to pay if I feel they can still make the playoffs. I'm confused then Big Blast, why do you say that the Brewers can host if the tiebreaker is a separate game?
  22. Are they calling the tiebreaker game the wild card game then because the tiebreaker game would be a regular season game.
  23. I doubt it, all of his hall of fame statistics on baseball reference are well below hall of fame average and he has never really been hyped up by the media as one of the greatest in the game.
  24. Thanks, I didn't even think that they would bill for that one game wild card since the Braves have that locked up. I guess technically there is a chance they could host so they bill it and hopefully they make it to the World Series and can be applied to those tickets.
