    It's possible the Brewers eliminate the Cardinals from the playoffs but pretty much impossible at this point to win the division.

    Why isn't this thread ever locked. Just like an ump, consistency is good.

    Would be very rushed and not ready but may be the best option. Could fool some major leaguers for a few innings.

    Small not being ready for the big leagues certainly hurts.

    The Reds will certainly put up a better fight than the Giants. Unfortunately the first night will be the toughest, Alexander is not good and the Brewers get to face a tough lefty, when pretty much every lefty is tough for them.

    As predicted a fairly easy sweep. Should have scored more but the Giants offense is bad. Never felt the Giants were a threat in either game.

    Well yeah, a journeyman pitcher that will go an inning and give way to the Giants crappy bullpen in the first game. Not looking good for them.

    Good stuff as always Tim. My two kids are about 5 years younger than yours. With all the struggles will be enjoying the innocent times going to the doubleheader with them today. They are excited to watch two games and get some Dippin Dots with their concession money. Maybe get a ball in the bleachers.

    It sure appears like the Giants are punting on the double header, shouldn't have confidence in the Brewers but they really should win both.

    Hopefully Perdomo can keep this up for another inning or so. Have to imagine he is off the roster tomorrow with the DH against the Giants. McCalvey mentioned that Gott is getting close, plus they can recall another guy for the double header.

    It doesn't look like Brock closed it and in my opinion he would encourage that kind of discussion versus some long time moderators here. Create a new thread that is solely about Cain's recent comments IMHO.

    Interesting thing is Freeland is a reverse splits guy himself, horrible against lefties this year. Could have made a case for playing Peterson/Rowdy. In general Freeland has been real bad at home this year.

    About as brutal as it can get. Go to bed confident and maybe tied for the wild card after the Rockies series to this. So disappointing.

    Just saw that Nash Walters was put on the Angels 40 man. Any idea why they would do that and waste an option when they could have just added him after the season?

    I would tend to agree, with limited resources there are other areas that need to be addressed. It would be nice to get an upgrade at 1B but not necessary. Might not be saying the same thing though in arbitration 3 in 2024.

    It can't be Brosseau, they must recall a position player today and he isn't eligible.

    Brewers already at 13 pitchers so need at least 1 position player. Ruiz isn't playing so likely him.

    If you go the the iheart app and search for Brew City Sports Tonight it will be under there.

    Now that Mitchell is here and Brosseau can't be called up on the 1st I do wonder what position player will be recalled. Reyes isn't done with his 10 days so maybe Ruiz for at least a couple of days until Brosseau is ready. Will still go with Gott if he is ready but Cousins otherwise. Wouldn't mind both.

    Jake Gatewood is another one, it seems like forever since he was in the Brewers system but still only 26 and in AAA for the Angels. Still struggling with low contact and OBP.

    I'm not too concerned about the rankings as I don't know other teams. However, when I look at the individual players and the Top 20 I feel much more confident in this system producing quality players in the future.

    Not significant but I'll use it to bring the kids to the doubleheader after they are done with school that day.

    I have never really been big into the in game threads but they have always been emotional and reactionary. The difference appears to be a lot of negative interaction directed toward posters.
