  1. Every day in the major is 1 service day so it potentially does have service time implications. For example if they really want the extra year of control and called him up in the next week would have to wait until late May 2023 to call up again. Hard to say though, a lot can change.
  2. Mejia wasn't out due to injury he was suspended for testing positive for PEDs. Today was the first day he could have come back to the Brewers but was optioned instead. Would have kept Reetz and got rid of Jackson.
  3. Mejia wasn't out due to injury he was suspended for testing positive for PEDs. Today was the first day he could have come back to the Brewers but was optioned instead. Would have kept Reetz and got rid of Jackson.
  4. I think Jace Avina will make the top 20 next month. It is an exciting time, a number of postion players are getting to the upper minors and there are still a number of lower level players to get excited about.
  5. This is the lefty masher we thought the Brewers would be getting with McCutchen.
  6. He did throw a scoreless inning tonight.
  7. TMJ is never as good because there are a ton of commercials and do all of the recap, highlights and so forth. 1250 would cut into programming after the last pitch. Was never a fan of Pauley at 620 either as you can tell he didn't have the passion (actually from St Louis and now does Cardinals stuff) of a lifelong Brewers fan like Allen.
  8. Don't really listen to the station as a whole but as a Brewers fan it will make it less fun having a program to listen to right after a Brewers game, especially when getting in the car after a game like last night's big win. Been listening to Tim Allen for nearly 20 years so will be an adjustment. Would be nice if one of the other stations picked him up and had a Brewers postgame.
  9. After last night the Brewers have a chance to turn things around against Pepiot, a little patience should lead to a decent offense tonight and hopefully regain some confidence.
  10. It actually surprised me in a positive manner, was expecting negative but got something positive. Now more than ever could use some positivity.
  11. Yeah, I assumed the poster was going to point out they are only 1.5 back but has given up on the team and they won't make the playoffs.
  12. I watched a lot of 90's baseball and never thought of Jaha as a disappointment, more of an over achiever. He didn't make the majors until his late 20's and never had huge expectations. Would have been nice if he stayed healthy but out of his control. By the time he left for Oakland he was 33 and out of the Brewers plans. I would consider his teammate Dave Nilsson more of a disappointment, expected more of him and when he finally reached his talent level he left the Brewers at 29.
  13. It was nice to see JP playing so well and hadn't given up a run all year. However, he hasn't played since June and a return in 2022 isn't looking real good. I doubt Rasmussen's ceiling was middle relief. He would have had his chances in Milwaukee.
  14. Late in the season but bringing back an oldie
  15. We will have to see but yeah there is certainly a chance the Padres non tender or trade him after the season for less than the Brewers received.
  16. It is pretty much always a long wait. Did it Sunday with my kids after staying in our seats until the end of the game and the end of the line was outside. If you want a shorter line for running the bases then get in line by the 7th. On the plus side it is easy to get out of the parking lot after the game.
  17. Dream big, McCutchen actually mashes against LHP again. They were in on Rosenthal so wouldn't be surprised if they have inquired about Conforto against RHP as Boras is looking for him to return in September. .
  18. That Jonathan Lucroy trade is misleading with zero since they ended up with Yelich in the off season and Swarzak as a rental but I understand those trades are listed separately. No regrets on the Mauricio Dubon for Pomeranz trade even if it looks like a loss. The Greinke trade is bad but overall the positive outweighs the negative.
  19. They have to turn it around at some point and if it is against a guy names Jimmy Yacabonis so be it. Looking forward to seeing Peralta pitch again.
  20. Barker had been DFA and had Tommy John surgery in the last week. That poster is obviously making stuff up when saying he was DFA a while ago.
  21. As a business it makes the trade better for them but as a fan it means nothing. It isn't like they can go and trade for somebody to improve the team this year.
  22. Doubt it since he was already in the minors. Injured minor league players get released all the time. That appears to be one of Barker's complaints is the union doesn't have his back either.
  23. The Brewers didn't want to pay Barker a major league salary the rest of the season so imagine that is why he wasn't put on the 60 day IL. Don't see him in their future plans so released him. If they just signed him back to a minor league deal would not be story but they made a decision based on the bottom line and didn't realize this could blow up in their face.
  24. Would imagine, there is no real need to add Reetz to the 40 man if they don't plan to bring him to Milwaukee.
