  1. Imagine he does it at home against the Browns. Probably won't even mention it in Baltimore but would be a big deal in Green Bay.
  2. For our giving tree at work I ended up with a 13 year old boy. I thought there are usually gift ideas on these types of things but not this one. Have to bring to the office by Monday and no idea what to get, any suggestions? They are looking for each person to spend somewhere between $20-40.
  3. Come on, you didn't have "block in the back on the return" or another penalty on that bingo card? Hard to believe that ST did not have a single penalty last night. So...progress? Right, would think block in the back and missed FG would be almost the free space of a Special Team Bingo card but nothing yesterday.
  4. After seeing Tyrone Taylor struggle so much and finally break out a couple of years ago it give me hope for a guy like Garrett Whitley. Was having a real nice season at AA before being promoted to AAA and struggled quite a bit, hopefully he can adjust and make progress the 2022 season. Certainly not out of the realm of possibility he could take Corey Ray's 40 man spot if he does so.
  5. I don't complain too much about moves but if this turns out to be the 1B platoon that would be really disappointing.
  6. Definitely not, revisionist history if somebody really believes that. He had a heck of a year but plenty of criticism for him since the initial signing.
  7. Buck O'Neil wasn't a great ballplayer but kind of amazing he wasn't already in based on what he did to promote baseball and the voice he provided for all of the players who played in the Negro Leagues.
  8. I'll agree with you there, Renfroe isn't garbage. If the Red Sox didn't see any value in him they could have just non-tendered him and been done with it.
  9. That option is interesting because if Dahl has an opt out they can add him to the 40 man and then send to the minors like they did with Choi a few years ago.
  10. Yes , it is a business with results determining if you are a good or bad gm. You can have every internet site say it was a good trade but in the end the only thing that matters is results. Stearns is a genius for getting Peralta for Lind. He was hoping one would hit but if he makes a bunch of trades and nothing ever hits he isn't sticking around.
  11. I would certainly prefer the Brewers get an upgrade at 3B and use Urias at 2B, SS and 3B as he would still get plenty of at bats, however I doubt that happens. Would be excited to see the Brewers sign Kris Bryant and DFA Mike Brosseau in February to make room on the 40 man but more likely they upgrade at the fringes.
  12. This could be a good call, maybe he and Brosseau could battle it out for the right handed utility guy. Would like somebody better than Reyes that can play a decent SS though.
  13. Disappointing on Curtiss but understandable as they would be paying him for all of 2022 and then going right to arbitration. Vogelbach had some good moments but once playoffs came around really showed his limited value. Hopefully they can get an upgrade at 1B and Rowdy can be a better version of Vogelbach.
  14. Sounds good, a guy that can go up and down without risk of losing and Feliciano can stay where he is at until ready.
  15. Unless Garcia flat out says he wouldn't have accepted you still don't really know.
  16. Speaking of movies with 8 in the title, saw 8 Bit Christmas on HBO Max. I was a kid in the 80s and actually had to wait longer than many and finally got one for my birthday in 1989 so can relate. If you grew up back then some of the details don't make sense like a Power Glove in 88 and it wasn't real difficult to get one by Christmas 88 and many kids had one by then. However, that is nitpicking, it was a fun little movie that even made the Billy Ripken baseball card an important part of the movie.
  17. Will be interesting to see what kind of bump Clemens and Bonds get on their final time on the ballot. Ortiz gets a pass sometimes but voters have shown they don't forget. Imagine Schilling finally gets in.
  18. I like this signing because of the compliment to Narvaez in 2022 and also because he is young enough to still break out. It is a long shot but could be the starter in 2023 with a cheap backup in Feliciano.
  19. The Blue Jays added Bowden Francis to the 40 man and Diamondbacks added Cooper Hummel. Also, Payton Henry was already on the Marlins 40 man, spending the last couple of weeks on the big league club, collecting 4 hits in limited action
  20. So they decided not to protect anybody else I guess.
  21. I'll go with Tyrone Taylor since he has been with the organization for a decade.
  22. The stock offering does say the funds can only be used for stadium or other capital improvements so if you do attend games you should see some benefit out of it.
  23. That really does seem like a good fit with Omar as the starter hitting against righties. Gives Feliciano another year in the minors and he can be the guy they option up and down when need be.
  24. Maybe they should have offered him that 6 year $9 million dollar deal.
  25. They sold better than expected back in 2011 but I think they are doing this a little too soon and are going to struggle matching the previous time. Imagine one share is enough for most and won't see too many repeat buyers.
