  1. The brutality is the run itself. For hundreds of years, every bull has been tortured and killed in this ridiculous tradition. There are humane ways of killing livestock, but people like to do it this way. So if some dope gets gored, I shed no tears. Geez, didn't see this before, I get your point but a difference between being against animal brutality and warming your heart when someone gets killed. Almost a Dexter like dark versus the sunshine you mentioned.,
  2. Pretty good return for a guy they signed as a minor league free agent in June 2020.
  3. Anything to do with the robot, less Paulie.
  4. Went even back further to 1985 with Rocky vs. Drago. I saw the original at the theater with my dad when I was 8 and loved it then and a guilty pleasure since then. Saw it again at the theater last night and enjoyed it, made better seeing it with a crowd again. The extra 40 minutes appeared to be marketing as I can't imagine that being true but could tell that Stallone wanted to improve the film and gave Apollo Creed some more respect and screen time with this cut. Makes sense after the success of the two Creed movies and Drago appearing in the second one. Some of the more tacky stuff was removed from this version but still has those Rocky montages, the Rocky/Drago fight was also a bit longer but probably no more than a couple of minutes. If you like the Rocky movies I do think it is worth the $4 rental.
  5. As long it doesn't wear out Giannis in the process. Everybody else is getting their turn except him.
  6. Think this would actually be a decent option if it was next year and Cain/Bradley were no longer on the team.
  7. I don't think guys like Dahl or Perdomo are worth protecting, would presumably have to go through the arbitration process if they did so. Think Luna is a possibility but still a longshot.
  8. Thanks for the thread title update. Agree that new threads may be necessary after a transaction. I thought they actually signed Pina to a one year deal until looking inside that one. The JBJ and Maile threads are examples of doing it right.
  9. If Maile returns on a minor league deal then great but certainly not worth a 40 man spot now that he has no option. Hopefully they can sign Pina for one more year and go with Narvaez/Pina for 2022 and Feliciano has a breakout year in the minors. In regards to Hummel he got the Brewers Escobar which was nice. Doubt 9 games at catcher in 2021 means MLB backup but still rooting for him.
  10. It is another 8.4 million. That $2million is gone, he would basically be making 20.4 million this year. If they both mutually agreed to the option they would be paying him $12.
  11. I don't think I would believe if somebody just summarized what Rodgers said if I didn't hear it myself.
  12. Kyrie Irving has taken a lot crap over the last month but Rodgers is even worse and will see if he gets as much criticism as NBA owner and NFL MVP. He lied but can always come back and say he didn't because he chooses his words carefully and was telling the truth from a certain point of view.
  13. If they really want Reynolds I agree it would take something like Ashby, Mitchell, Wiemer and Perez mentioned above. Comparing it to Yelich that would be more like Mitchell, one of Ashby/Perez, Wiemer and somebody else further down on the list. It probably won't happen but it would take a lot.
  14. I think there was definitely a sufficient amount of angst that existed for how we were playing in September. Right, I guess Thurston wasn't around these boards in September. Runaway division champs but probably the least fun of any September playoff run. The lone exception was being there when they finally clinched. I don't think I could have taken much more negative talk of this team, certainly didn't need more.
  15. Not sure what they used for Super 2 cutoff but there is certainly no guarantee that Urias will eligible for arbitration.
  16. The Braves would be a lot less hateable without the tomahawk chop. At this point I am hoping for the Dodgers to destroy the Astros and there is some drama regarding the cheating.
  17. Saw it last weekend. It felt mostly like fanservice. Standing on its own, it was a pretty weak movie.
  18. Today is a little tough knowing that the Brewers game would be rocking tonight and I would be there.
  19. Can't say I liked Many Saints of Newark as much as you. Maybe Sopranos doesn't work as a movie but really didn't enjoy it and kind of pointless. Liked the guy that played Junior Soprano but not enough of him, intrigued to learn more about Tony and his father, the actress that played Tony's Mom was also very good. Overall just don't like the direction they took with the movie. Whoever played Silvio was the absolute worst, was like a SNL skit. Hated the two Ray Liotta characters too.
  20. Yuck, the only reason to invest your time and energy in the Packers is if you like how you are feeling right now after the Brewers loss.
  21. If they can pull this out I am extremely confident the Brewers win game 5. Burnes/Woodruff/Hader should be able to shut down the Braves.
  22. Win 2 of 11 coming today, only 9 more to go.
  23. I'm with you on this one, a team like the Brewers doesn't have a decade to let a team grow, they have to grab the ring while they have this outstanding pitching. It certainly isn't going to last long.
  24. Peterson pinch hitting and getting walks is what he brings to the table. They played him the most in September with terrible results. Wouldn't have minded having him in the Vogelbach role yesterday with two on and one out as he likely would have delivered but also understand they want his defensive versatility just in case. Plus Vogelbach is useless unless he is pinch hitting in key roles or used as a bluff like in Game 2.
  25. Hey now - facts are no match for the Legend of CC Sabathia, the Greatest Rental of All Time! You gotta admit - that was a fun half season... Yep and then going with Suppan to start in an elimination game instead of Gallardo, over in the first inning. At least there is no temptation to start Anderson.
