It makes me wonder if he was intentionally tanking while he was here. Didn't he say he'd rather be in Baltimore? And they were the worst team in baseball. I think there was some truth to that. Wasn’t he very pouty while he was here?

Burnes last 4 or 5 starts have not been up to the standard of his first few. Yeah, probably a better chance with Woodruff or Peralta at this point.

Tigers getting more hits than I was expecting against Burnes. Was hoping to maybe see a no-hitter today. Would just be happy with a win though!

I could have bet my life savings that Schoop was going to get a hit in his first at-bat. Boy was he terrible on the Brewers.

This game has the same feel as the 2019 Wild Card game. Weren’t we up 2-0 going into the 8th in that game too? It was against Scherzer too.

That strike 3 to Yelich seemed really low. I wonder what the pitch tracking images show for that one.

Maybe it just seems this way, but hasn’t Shaw come through quite a bit in the clutch this year, and aren’t his RBIs a respectable number? I don’t recall Smoak really providing much in general, so even though Shaw’s numbers aren’t good, he has provided some value. All that being said, if we could find a decent 1B I’d be all over sending Hiura down for an extended period and getting rid of Vogelbach and/or Shaw. -
Alright, Yardley did his job, got more at bats than he should have needed to. Great doubleheader win today!!!
