  1. Instead of days off, the planned doubleheaders could allow the season to finish a few days earlier and would potentially allow extra postseason games so that additional team(s) could make it or they could make the wild card game more than one game.
  2. It’s a nice feeling when Wong and Adames are up that there’s an ok possibility that they will actually get a hit.
  3. I just asked that question on the Brewers FB post about Freddy throwing a complete game and they replied that it counts as an official complete game. Seems kind of weird that complete games count but not no hitters. Maybe because complete games aren’t that prestigious.
  4. What’s defined as a “meatball” pitch?
  5. At first I thought it might have been a Bronx cheer, but I think is was an joy cheer I thought it was legit cheering. People want to see some small ball and it was the first time in a long time that the Brewers have done it. Of course, with Narvaez at 2nd and Hiura up, I actually wouldn’t have bunted this time. It all worked out though!
  6. And concession prices no longer include tax. And it appears to be a very high tax rate. So add that on top of increased prices and it’ll cost you a lot more than last year for the mediocre food.
  7. I’m getting sick of Hiura. No reason he didn’t score in the 10th. If he doesn’t turn it around soon I don’t know if his tenure as a Brewers player is going to be coming to an end in the near future.
  8. There’s a chance for a wild pitch or a fly ball (if they don’t strike out). They aren’t likely going to get a hit so they need to count on those other things. And even when they get hits, the runners can’t go because the potential for being caught (Adames hit in the 10th).
  9. Disappointing loss. Plenty of opportunities in the 9th and 10th, but the Brewers offense is just terrible.
  10. I thought Hiura would be safe by a mile. So disappointing. If you can’t hit, do the fundamentals right.
  11. Could pitch run Burnes. That’s the last thing we need, to put our stud pitchers in a position where they can get injured on the base paths.
  12. I see the Brewers are reinstating the carry-in policy effective June 1. I’m happy to see this. I thought once they took it away for COVID that it wasn’t coming back.
  13. This only works when the Brewers have a great lineup that includes the likes of Braun, Fielder, Hart and Weeks in their prime. When you have the lineup they throw out now, dominating performances against the Brewers come from anyone! This is unfortunately true. There’s a chance that someone making their MLB debut could keep the Brewers hitless for most or all of a game.
  14. I refuse to go based on the name alone. Worst. Name. Ever.
  15. So, will St. Louis pick him up and he’ll end up as a serviceable starter, include dominating appearances against the Brewers?
  16. I’m hoping that the Brewers don’t make any major changes (like getting rid of Hader this season) and basically take this season as it comes. But then they actually focus on boosting the offense this off-season (even with guys that hit .260-.270). Having a decent/mediocre offense with the solid starters and Williams/Hader should set us up nicely the next few years to make a serious run.
  17. We really need to get that guy a bucket of KFC and some rum, stat. Hopefully everyone knows this reference, otherwise it could be taken very badly.
  18. I missed it live, but Gameday has it like an inch off the corner. Sorry, but no need to make excuses for Hiura. It made it a 1-1 count, hardly a bad situation. He then swung at air on a belt high fastball and then swung at a ball closer to bouncing off the plate than it was the strike zone. He has no one to blame, but himself. With the lefty pitcher it came in from the left so it should have been called a ball. Yes, 1-1 is not the end of the world and he swung at bad pitches, but he would have been at a 3-1 count and you never know what would happen.
  19. Does anyone else think the guy in the Miller Lite commercial that originally picks up Michelob Ultra looks like a (very) poor-man’s Bruno Mars?
