  1. It seems like sub-par pitchers with high ERAs dominate the Brewers, while the Brewers often fare well against aces, so I could see a shutout tonight.
  2. Might as well pull Chase now. He’s already given up some HRs. Don’t want him to give up more and get this game out of reach. The two-run deficit is about the most the Brewers can typically come back from.
  3. The big question is will we be out of the wild card after this weekend or not. Don’t worry though... it’s a long season and there are lots of games left. Sigh.
  4. Yep, it’s like we are Sisyphus, but instead of having to push a boulder up a mountain, we have to watch the Brewers try to rise beyond mediocrity, only to see them fail... for eternity. Yay!
  5. Here’s where we’ll hear the “it’s just one game” and “it’s a long season” comments. Nope, it’s not just one game when we continue down this losing trend that’s been running for the last few months.
  6. Well, Chase came through there. Got to hand it to him!
  7. Uggh... no walks! Pull Chase now before he gives up the 2-run homer to give up the lead!
  8. Should the Brewers sit Chase now? Hate to have him blow the lead now with one or more home runs.
  9. I really don't think that's the case. That would make no sense. Every game counts the same in the standings whether it's a rubber match or for the sweep, the standings go by game victories, not series victories. I've never ever gotten the sense that they've chosen to just throw in the towel and relax for the finale if they've already won the series. I’ve thought along the same lines as uwbadgers regards by this. I think it’s not necessarily because they’ve won the first two that they throw in the towel, but instead the third game is often a get-away day as well (which is often a Day game too), so then they rest some starters and end up losing he third game
  10. After yesterday I said to myself I’m going to hold off watching until the Brewers can figure out how to add more wins than losses for a while. I peeked at the score online and then decided to come read the comments here. I guess it will be a while before I can make myself watch again. I wonder if it will even be this year.
  11. Typically teams that are 15 above .500 are. Let's refrain from blowing one game out of proportion. Also, I'm not laughing. Not sure why you are. It’s not just one game when we end up saying this 10 times in a month. Just one game would have made a world of difference last season. Edit: Sorry, server problems caused a duplicate post.

  13. Funny, going into this series my friends and I discussed how we could easily see the Brewers being swept in this series... because that’s what the Brewers do.
  14. Is it just me, or do the Brewers always seem to be on the wrong end of reviews?
  15. Good call.......but I think my all time choice to drink with would be Gorman Thomas My brother in law told me he used to see Gorman out and about when he was playing and he would regularly be hammered. So, I think your choice is great, but you better wear your big boy pants if you want to compete with Stormin' Gorman.
  16. I'm glad Guerra's good outing was worth it. It'd have been a shame to finally have a pitcher go 8 innings and lose.
  17. Schoop better start hitting or else he'll be a worse acquisition than Yuniesky Betancourt.
  18. Schoop sure seems to foul off a lot of pitches towards 3rd base. He probably leads the league in that.
  19. Hehe... Schoop only faced Wade Davis once... and he struck out. Really???
