  1. I was at this game. First game of a doubleheader that was supposed to be a day off. Only around 3,000 people on hand to see it. Bizarre seeing so few people at an MLB game.
  2. You aren't the only one I'm guessing Phillips vs. Jansen will be a massive mismatch, but you never know. Phillips will probably get that two-run bomb now...
  3. This is almost better than losing by one run. Having the score be close gives a false impression that this team can compete right now, and that obviously isn’t the case.
  4. So, will we go 3-7 or 2-8 in the first 10 games after the ASB? The Cubs will have the inverse. Im guessing 3-7.
  5. If they would have ruled him safe, would Utley have had to go back to 2nd?
  6. Yes, Segura would have been out if Votto catches the ball. Hehe. I didn’t mean for that to be a question.
  7. Not really, still would have been a jack, just for 2 instead of 3. Wasn’t it Segura batting when Votto dropped it? Segura would have been out then? So who knows what would have happened with the next hitter.
  8. Surprised the National League didn’t take the lead prior to that. Would have been fitting for Aguilar to drive in the go-ahead runs before Hader blew it.
  9. Vazquez didn't seem to happy about it either. It got a little hairy for him after that too, just like it often does for the Brewers when they blow the 3rd out with bases empty.
  10. Well, they only won 56 games total that year. A week ago I said they’d have that by the ASB this year. It’s looking like I’ll be wrong about that after they lose tomorrow.
  11. It’s not even the 5-game losing streak that is most concerning. It’s how incompetent the team looks now. It’s one thing if you are getting beat but still playing good baseball. Right now the Brewers look lost.
  12. How many teams have been swept in a 5-game series? At least that will be something.
  13. After we get swept In this series, I’ve changed my tune and don’t think that we should be buyers this year. This team has too many holes to patch via trades.
  14. Not sure why history is meaningless. Are all statistics meaningless? Sure, there are outliers, but in general they hold true. When has having an all-or-nothing offense ended positively for the Brewers? They have been playing over their head all season, with the bullpen covering for a sub-par offense. Now it’s catching up to them.
  15. Well with that negative attitude, nope. You won’t be surprised. My REALISTIC attitude has no bearing on the outcome of these games. If you expect anything other than you are being foolish. This team is in serious trouble right now. Maybe they’ll be able to turn it around, maybe not. History is not in their favor at this point.
  16. This team is going down in flames. Won’t be surprised for a five game sweep. Pathetic.
  17. They have the best record in the league, the can't have passed on that many. The thing is though, is that I know that I've thought about this in at least a half dozen losses that were winnable this year. The best record in the league is great, but it's the 1.0 game lead over the Cubs that concerns me. If the Brewers didn't waste those half dozen opportunities we'd be sitting in a much better position with more than a 5.0 game lead.
