  1. Do you have a separate host for your account or are you using a free account? Free accounts would typically fall under whatever rules that blog (Wordpress, Livejournal, Twitter etc) and could be why the post disappeared.
  2. The best documentary filmmaker I know works in Toronto, so he probably wouldn't be much help. Where exactly are you located? Like Bill said Film Festivals are a great way to meet filmmakers and network, which is really what you want to do in this situation. Any Film Societies of Film Clubs in your area would be a good place to inquire about local film festivals and filmmakers that might be interested in your idea. If there is a repatoryor arthouse theatre near you they might be able to help you locate someone in the area as well.
  3. That last one reminds me of these two. http://static.indabamusic.com/shared/post_images/0000/0263/82941__culp_l.jpg
  4. Tea Tree oil smells awful. You are better off with the dead squirrels.
  5. Open Office is all I ever use, which makes it very easy to swap files between my PC and my Linux based Eee.
  6. Are you a jerk? Because if you are not a jerk you can't own a Mac. It's a system requirement. BOOM! Bring it casey!
  7. The movie infers that the Klopeks were eating people, and it was at least one of the scenarios tossed around by Art. Even the story about the ice cream man who murdered his family is potentially disturbing as well for kids. It's definately not a movie I'd let my nephews watch until they were probably in their teens. As much because they won't get most of the humor and it is a pretty scary film. Gremlins, Gremlins 2 and Small Soldiers are probably better Joe Dante films for him to watch before he watches The 'burbs. Anyways, I know you asked for non-animated films but this one looks pretty cool and will be out later this year.
  8. The Prisoner is just a great show, and one every Lost fan should be required to watch.
  9. I'm pretty sure cannibalism is a bit more difficult to explain to a child and more frightening. But maybe that is just me.
  10. Cain always played CF with Brantley as he had better range and a better arm. He played RF with Ford because they had similar range and he had a far superior arm. Cain is regarded as a CF prospect, but the organization thinks as he matures he might end up being better placed as a RF and it isn't because of any defensive inadequacies.
  11. It won't get a wide release unless it picks up a few Oscar nominations.
  12. Heh, I watched probably close to 200 new releases this year. Though I do work at a theater which eliminates the cost option.
  13. Umm ... Cain is considered the Brewers best defensive outfielder in the minors and is viewed as a true CF. Are you sure you aren't thinking of Brantley?
  14. Quick and dirty top ten: 10) In Bruges 9) Bigger, Stronger, Faster* 8) Burn After Reading 7) Synecdoche, New York 6) JCVD 5) Encounters at the End of the World 4) Let the Right One In 3) Waltz with Bashir 2) Man on Wire 1) The Fall 3 foreign films and 4 documentaries on the list and 2 comedies as well, and not the ones I was expecting to be on there. Stuck was also a hard one to exclude and I think Synecdoche will probably age the best out of all of them. Not as great a year as last year, but still a pretty solid year IMO.
  15. I'll be doing two top tens in the next week or so at my site. One on the films I watched for my site and another on new releases. I'll post at least the new releases top ten here as well. Still don't quite know how it will shape up, as I can barely remember which films are released which year anymore. That being said, at least 3 documentaries will make the list, those being Man on Wire, Waltz with Bashir and Bigger, Stronger, Faster*.
  16. Glad to hear the new Animal Crossing is addicting. Has either you or your wife played the previous one for Gamecube?
  17. MLB Power Pros is easily the best baseball game on the Wii. I'd even argue it is the best console baseball game period.
  18. He isn't arguably in the top three, he's far and away the best defensive catcher in the majors. And the odds of him leaving the Twins is slim and none. Thr city and the franchise absolutely worship the guy.
  19. There is, its called Front Page Sports Football and it hasn't been made in over a decade. Stupid Sierra!
  20. That is because Open Office is a Linux product. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  21. Both the Roku player and 360 support HD playback but they haven't started offering it yet. Word is that sometime next year true HD streaming will be a reality.
  22. I've used Netflix for years are love it. If you aren't a fiend for the newest releases it is a great service, especially if you like older movies. Pretty much every movie on my site that I review I watch on Netflix, though if you really want the biggest selection GreenCine is the place to go. And the online streaming through your 360 or Roku player is the wave of the future. If you haven't bought Blu-Ray don't, you're just wasting your money.
  23. Blake himself has stated it is between the Twins and the Dodgers.
  24. For all who are interested, this is rare video of Mothership clubbing.
