  1. I saw something a few weeks ago about sample sizes and slumps and someone mentioned that during Barry Bonds' historic season in 2001 he had a 24 game stretch mid season where he went 195/421/403/823. That seems almost impossible given he ended up with an OPS of 1.379 but shows that 24 games does not a season make. It also shows that slumps in mid-season are harder to spot than slumps at the beginning of the season.
  2. 'Front Row Amy' bobblehead unveiled for Brewers Home Opener https://share.google/bZLRpmYdGlmFT0Rfy
  3. Lara breaks his record for home runs in a season and we haven't hit the month of May yet.
  4. bump :) And now Dinges....the top of this lineup is a joke
  5. Braylon Payne is on some kind of heater. Sheesh.
  6. We ventured over to Madison this weekend and had a wonderful meal at Mint Mark. They moved into new fancy digs a few years ago. I never tried the old place but from what I understand, it was a lot more "homey" than the new spot. Regardless, we had a really special evening as we were lucky enough to be seated in the "kitchen bar" seats, where we were served by the executive chef. Really cool to talk to him about how he got his start in cooking, his general philosophy on food, etc. If you are a huge meat-eater, this may not be the place for you. I'm not a vegetarian by any means but I don't shy away from that kind of thing. It always amazes me what a talented chef can do with only veggies. Anyway, the smoked carrots, pickled beets, and roasted trumpet mushrooms were outstanding. We also had smoked trout dip on fry bread and rainbow trout. Everything was great. They don't take reservations, but there's a lot of space to hang out and have a drink...or three. p.s. the farmers market remains undefeated
  7. I'd be interested to see how all the guys Gute traded up to get ended up doing. Love obviously turned out ok but there are some real stinkers in there
  8. CB and DL were big needs. OL is also a need. I'd have been fine taking an OL but they'll get one today. I also don't like trading up because as we seen Gute, can't figure out how to create depth. Getting more bites at the apple could help in that regard.
  9. You can't fill four positions with two picks.
  10. It'd be funny if Robert Reynolds had a kid who went to OSU.
  11. Joel Stave!
  12. Jack Sorgi is a Badger
  13. They will burn all of his cheap and productive years with no quarterback.
  14. Cardinals lol
  15. O'Rae has stolen 5 bases today. He probably would have tried for 6 but the pitcher did his catcher a solid and threw a wild pitch instead
  16. I don't know what the TRats team OPS is, but it's probably pretty good.
  17. I've followed you on social for a while, Aram. Thanks for posting here!
  18. With today's dinger, Lara has more home runs this year (3) than all of last year (2). One more to tie his career high!
  19. Would love a report when you get back!
  20. Here is what AI thinks 😀: Priority Day 2 Targets (Rounds 2-3) With picks at No. 52 and No. 84, the Packers are expected to target immediate starters or high-impact rotational players to pressure their own veterans. Lee Hunter (DT, Texas Tech): A massive first-team All-American nose tackle who could anchor the interior run defense. Chris Brazzell II (WR, Tennessee): A 6'4" deep threat with a wide catch radius to replace the recently traded Dontayvion Wicks. Germie Bernard (WR, Alabama): A versatile weapon with elite route-running and punt-return experience. Chris McClellan (DT, Missouri): A rising interior pass rusher who could provide the "splash plays" Green Bay missed last season. Ty Simpson (QB, Alabama): While Jordan Love is the franchise guy, scouts suggest Green Bay might maintain their "QB-development" strategy by taking a high-upside backup on Day 2. Day 3 Values & Sleepers (Rounds 4-7) The Packers hold six picks on Day 3, including an extra fifth-rounder (No. 153) acquired from the Eagles. Brian Parker II (OL, Duke): A classic Packers target with a 9.76 Relative Athletic Score (RAS) and the versatility to play center or tackle. Trey Smack (K, Florida): A specialist with a huge leg (school record 10 FGs over 50 yards) to compete for the kicking job. Drew Stevens (K, Iowa): Another high-level kicker prospect who tied the Kinnick Stadium record with a 58-yarder. Jacob Rodriguez (LB, Texas Tech): A high-motor "tackle machine" who could instantly upgrade the special teams units.
