  1. Gary hasn't had a sack since October and was behind Van Ness and Enagbare in snaps. He's a goner
  2. I would only consider it a failure if the offense was bad. The offense was just fine.
  3. Next year, can you post your expectations before the season and not after a week 15 loss? thanks
  4. they have t really needed him since Reed and Watson came back. He's been fine. He'll be better next year
  5. I don't think you can blame injuries and then also blame MLF
  6. The sad thing is if GB hadnt turned the ball over they'd probably be winning.
  7. I think BAL has run on 3rd and 4 or 5 like 5 times.
  8. it's almost like losing a top five defensive player in the league causes the defense to be worse.
  9. dang that absolutely sucks for Willis
  10. Enagbare > Gary and it's not particularly close. I think Gary gets cut next year
  11. The money has gotten so grotesque in college sports. I know this is "old man shakes fist at cloud" stuff, but the dude who donated $290 million to MSU athletics is a moron. The guy could build 10 rural medical clinics and staff them for 10 years with that money. Harumph.
  12. skol
  13. Roster construction is different from 15 years ago. The offense is different from 15 years ago. The NFL as a whole is different. This season, the offense was junk with Kraft but minus Watson and Reed. GB was getting its bearings, starting with the second Minnesota game. I think everyone on here was pretty excited after the four wins in a row (minus the guy that hasn't posted all year but waited until the Denver loss to chime in). They looked as good as any team in the NFC. But you can only lose so many guys without it impacting the team.
  14. I think they need an RB with some wheels. I cringe every time I see Jacobs on a toss sweep (yeah it worked well that one game in the red zone but that's because the defense fell all over each other at the line of scrimmage)
  15. my argument is he's a top 3 wr on the team and he should be on the hands team. if he can't do it because of concussions then he shouldn't play football (I think his concussion history didnt factor into that play one iota. playing devil's advocate)
  16. then he should retire. Jacobs fumbled too. It was a series of odd things that happened. Bad luck is all it was.
  17. You wouldn't have Doubs on the hands team?
  18. at the end of the day, a guy botched an o side kick recovery. that's not the fault of a coach or GM. I would like to see a playoff game or two but if they don't make it that doesn't change my opinion of the season for me Disappointing but a couple of bad luck games and very bad luck with injuries. Come back strong next year and hope you stay healthier.
  19. congrats to the Bears on beating the Packers JV team
  20. I don't think they are a contender anymore. I did pre-Parsons injury. And I'm not sure what metric you are using to compare this year's defense to last year's. Also, the defense has not been an issue this year as the "bad" losses were on the offense, which turned it around the last four weeks.
