  1. You're talking about a 44-year old grandpa who hasn't played in five years.
  2. Odunze and Burden have both been ruled out. Look for a heavy dose of "pound the rock"
  3. Good. Call it what it is.
  4. You literally said there is no way to back door to a Super Bowl and then proceeded to describe how the 2010 team back door'd their way to a Super Bowl. This team was on a similar trajectory - gelling at the end of the season. I do think they were susceptible to injury at certain key spots. When Tom went out against Denver it was a massive drop in talent at that spot and it showed. The whole argument is that they were a Super Bowl contender and seeing as there aren't any teams in the NFL blowing people out on the regular, that point stands.
  5. The 2010 Packers lost to the Dolphins, Commanders (nee Redskins) and Lions. The Commanders were a 6 - 10 team. The Dolphins were 7 - 9. The Lions were 6 - 10. They were the wild card and won all road games to get to the Super Bowl. I get that being Mr Negative guy is kinda your thing but come on.
  6. I mean....yes that is a Super Bowl contender. The oddsmakers said as much before the Denver game.
  7. As I was watching it, I could not help but wonder if this would be a regular midnight showing at The Oriental someday.
  8. There's a Fairfield Inn on National and Miller Park Way. A lot of that land from National south to Lincoln was cleared back in the 60's and 70s for a freeway that was not completed and has been filled in w strip malls.
  9. Well that's stupid. 😁
  10. Frelick has 87th percentile sprint speed so he could very likely have a high BABIP and outperform his xBA/SLG for a few years. Collins is 58th %.
  11. Yeah some of generating a TO is skill based but it's largely driven by luck as I said (not 100%). The entire last part of your post is related to luck. Dropping or catching an INT is lucky.
  12. a { text-decoration: none; color: #464feb; } tr th, tr td { border: 1px solid #e6e6e6; } tr th { background-color: #f5f5f5; } Aside from the Lovey Smith-era Bears’ knack for forcing fumbles, turnovers in football are highly variable and largely driven by luck.
  13. I agree that OF depth is a concern particularly if you are banking on Mitchell to play 100+ games but Collins xSLG was .349 and xBA was .247 and he'll be 29 at midseason. I hope they make another deal but I am not too sad they traded Collins.
  14. From the top 10 article: "Meccage (pronounced message) " Might be old news to everyone around here but I didn't know this. Seems ripe for a nickname like "Text"
  15. This is recency bias. Their corners have not been all that bad. I'd put them at mediocre. If McKinney catches two INTs today we probably aren't even having this discussion. The scheme gives up the underneath stuff to avoid splash plays and before today the Packers were behind only the VIkings and Broncos in explosive play rate allowed. If someone wants to find a metric to prove me wrong by all means please do. I don't subscribe to PFF so I don't know what grades our CBs get but I'd be willling to bet they are middle of the pack.
  16. great. good luck next year
  17. is that backed up by any kind of statistical proof? PFF grades? asking because I don't know
  18. I can't believe the Packers dropped 4 interceptions....or was it 5? at least 3 were gimmes too.
  19. plus Williams. I was wondering why Zayne Anderson was out there
  20. I have two as an adult so I'm ok
  21. Mahomes tore his acl. I'd rather be a packer fan than a chiefs fan
  22. yeah they ran incredibly unlucky with injuries this year. They'll contend next year. It's not like they were losing 2nd and 3rd string guys. It's literally the top 5 or 6 guys on the entire team.
  23. well it was fun while it lasted. when is spring training?
  24. Hundreds of Beavers - wow. I have been meaning to watch this for a while and finally did so today on Amazon Prime. I don't even know how to explain it other than to say you haven't seen anything like this. It was "filmed" in Wisconsin with Wisconsin talent (one of the actors was in a play I saw in Milwaukee a few years ago). It's one part Charlie Chaplin, one part Sid and Marty Kroft, one part Three Stooges, and one part I don't know what. I'm not doing the plot justice, but it's about a guy in 1800s Wisconsin who learns how to trap animals, and the animals (beavers, rabbits, skunks, wolves, dogs, and a horse) are actors in animal costumes. I thought it was creative as hell and hilarious. It's probably about a half hour too long, but that's my only gripe. Seeing is believing.
